The campgrounds were clean and well maintained. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful and close to many hikes. You pay for a shower but everything is very clean and it is not a timed shower. Can't wait to come back again.

Camp hosts were great and helpful always an enjoyment every year when we go

We always enjoy Rianbow campground and the White Mountains in general. We probably shouldn't have been surprised, but we were, when we found that a shower would cost $9 and the dump station would be $10 to dump.

This campsite was so quiet and beautiful. The drive there was extraordinary. The campgrounds was clean and safe. Having the marina so close gave us something fun to do as a family. I would go back in a minute.

Terrific campground, clean restrooms. Wish there was a spot dedicated to campers with generators. They kind of ruin atmosphere when they are excessively loud. Staff is always helpful and nice. We camp here once a month in the summer.

Campsites and facilities were clean. Camp host were very friendly and helpful. We were inundated with mosquitoes the first two days, but that was just due to the tall grass in the campsite. Can be really noisy due to barking dogs all night. Showers are expensive at$9.00 a pop but at least the have them if you need them. Overall, a really great experience and I would definitely go to the campsite again

Nice paved spacious sites with paved roads eliminating any potential for dust. A very beautiful spot with mature pines. Big lake is within walking distance.

We have been going to Rainbow campground for many years and love how beautiful it is. However, this year, the forest around parts of the campground looked like a hurricane came through and broke all the trees off. We were told that the trees had been "thinned" and "mulched", but the downed trees were in huge chunks laying on the ground. Our favorite spot was destroyed and its beautiful canopy of trees was gone. We get the idea of thinning because we live in a Ponderosa pine forest, but this was overkill. It was actually heartbreaking.Also, the bathrooms near spot 64 were in bad repair. The ladies' room didn't have a working faucet and the floor drain in the men's room was backed up with black liquid for several days.

The ladies that check you in get confused easy. There was 3 of them checking my group of 3 sites and they made it so difficult when they was all in my name, they made us to park, swing back around and park again. Then got mad when we came up at the same time. The lady got super frustrated and rude telling me one at a time one at a time. I

There should be better pictures and/or descriptions of the campsites. This site was listed as full shade there was no shade. We were tent camping and there was no area for a tent. Unfortunately we had to leave and look for a better site.

Nice location for fast access to the restrooms and right next to a water station. Will need some shade at this spot. The weather was perfect for a afternoon nap inside a open tent, there was a nice cool breeze with rolling clouds

Excellent site and hosts.

The campsites are roomy and not too close together. Near enough to walk to the lake. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing elk, deer and a huge variety of birds. We explored the area, had a great time and plan to return over and over.

Staying at Rainbow Campground was an incredible experience for our family for four which includes two little ones and a furry friend. The campground offered excellent and friendly customer service, and its proximity to Big Lake, the Big Lake small market, and the amenities at Crescent Lake, made our journey truly memorable. The spacious, private campsites with paved roads allowed our kids to safely enjoy bike rides around the loop. Moreover, the provided amenities, such as wood, ice, flush toilets, water, and showers, greatly enhanced our camping comfort. Despite these conveniences, Rainbow Campground still offers a remote, untouched, and tranquil setting. We're eagerly looking forward to our next visit!For a full blog post and family camping tips visit: www.natureboundfamilytravel.com

What a beautiful and spacious campground. Our visit was quiet and peaceful. If deciding amongst the many campgrounds in this area, this one is the most developed. All sites are drive in. Many are drive-through and suitable for larger RVs. There is at least one accessible site that is paved from the parking area to the camping area to the restrooms. Campground has many clean restrooms, many with sinks and multiple stalls. There are many spigots with potable water (bring your own bucket). Sites on the west side are more heavily treed. There are $9 showers nearby with an attendant and specific hours for use. Wood and ice are available for purchase at the campground. There is a seasonal store in the nearby marina. Hosts were awesome.

We absolutely loved this campground. Very well maintained, clean flushing toilets and hot showers available. Ice and firewood available. Easy access to the lake, short hike for shore fishing or short drive to the store and marina if you want to rent a boat. Can't wait to come back!
@JenniferM11870 · Camped on Aug 4, 2023 at Campsite #50
Beautiful campground - sites are well designed for maximum privacy. The only odd thing was there was no way to get to the bathrooms without walking through one of two campsites. Its like they put in the cement path and then stuck a campsite on top of it. We were in space 50.

We love the Rainbow Campground! It's beautiful and clean. Hiking trails are close by. We'll be back next year! Thank you.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
