Camphost was the nicest I think I've ever had. Just a beautiful spot and I love it right across from the lake. Everything was really perfect

Camping area and toilets are really clean, I would like to thank all employees for their service. Jackson lake is just walking distance away. You can grab your staff and go there for lake view picnic. I was only not satisfied with the width of the campsite. If there is a family with 4 children in the tent next to you, you can understand what I m saying. Maybe I felt uncomfortable because it was my first camping adventure on the camp site. If I go there again, I ll reserve 4 instead 5.

The campground was nice, very clean and has everything one might need like flush toilets, water spigot, dumpsters and firewood for sale. Each site has a table, bear proof container and a fire ring for cooking, personally, it wasnt ideal for a casual sit around and stare at the fire campfire but it did feel safe and contained because of the tall double walls. Site 8 was steps away from the restrooms, water, dumpster and the camp host. Theres isnt much privacy at this campsite but there are tall trees for some shade. The restrooms have lights all around and inside which is nice but was a little distracting at night when trying to star gaze. Overall I really enjoyed this campground for being a quick, easygoing camping experience.

I love this camping spot. It is very convenient to town and hiking. The camping spaces are clean and roomy. The only downside is the camp spots are close to each other and unfortunately they allow RV parking next tent camping which causes a conflict with the motor sound of the RV. Also, I'm sure this is probably a funding issue but the bathroom could use updating.

Loved this campground. Camp lots were spacious and well kept. Easy to navigate. I was hiking sections of the PCT and this campground was about a 10 minute drive so loved the location. Not much service in this area so download directions beforehand.

Great place a little smaller than I expected but that was fine with me. Gets really cold at night and you burn through a lot of firewood. Im definitely coming back in spring!

Campground was pretty and clean, only con was that there were so many bees at the site. When we cooked, there would be bees everywhere. Yes, I know its camping and we are outside, but I have camped at many other places in NPs and etc and never experienced this. It was so bad that we had to eat in our tent. I am not sure if it was just our site or other people at the campground experienced it too.

By far one of the best camping experiences. This is a wonderful campground with flushable toilets, water spigots almost on every other site. It's got a circular layout and camp host Jordan is absolutely the best! He was always around to answer questions and was super friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. Spotty cell service but then again its a campground not a resort the point is to disconnect! We stayed at site 14 which is close to bathrooms and road it has plenty of trees for shade and is pretty roomy, we had 3 tents and a shade/screen canopy and still had more room to spare! During the day you can definitely hear some of the vehicles on the road but its not that bad. The nights are super quiet which is nice. The lake is literally across the street. No flushable toilets at the lake they are vault toilets there. There is no lifeguard at the lake but you can swim at your own discretion some parts of the lake are not deep at all there is a kayak rental there too and picnic tables. There are a few Blue Jay's in the area with no shame to their game and will literally land on your table! As for other insects and animals you will get visits from Bee's, yellowjackets, wasps, flies, wood packers, chipmunk, squirrels and lizards. Sign says Bears, mountain lions and snakes but luckily we did not see those. The insects were mostly first thing in the morning but by noon they were gone! The town of Wrightwood is a short 10 minute drive at most. Fire wood is $10 a bundle at the town and with camp host so save the drive and just get it from host. Here's hoping Jordan is still there on our next trip he truly made this trip enjoyable and was super helpful and friendly! Thank you Jordan!

Close to lake and nice and quiet.

What a beautiful site. It's a small area so not a huge place to walk to get to things. Camp host was great and has lots of useful things. It was great temperature, the trees helped with the heat outside. And a fun fishing lake right across the street. Certainly on my favorite list

Very very nice stay- campsites are a little mis leading as to how big the sites were- a little smaller than expected- it all worked out and did enjoy our stay

Nice campground however this site is near the street so you can hear each car passing through. Also theres a massive electricity pole (not sure what its for since you dont get service) and was not happy about because thats not something I want to sleep under in the middle of camping. The camp host was nice and friendly though. You can get firewood from him.

Beautiful, quiet and relaxing spot! The view from space 44 was perfect. Bathrooms were clean and they had hot water. Also a bonus dish washing sink behind the bathrooms. Great spot to tent camp!

What a wonderful place to visit. Peace and quite is what I was looking for and that's what I got.

Campgrounds are right off the highway, you can see it from about half of them. Not ideal. Sites are small and very close to the other sites. Most sites are relatively flat. Large tents should fit in most. Flush toilets are great. I feel like this would be good for families with children. Not for staying up late, your noise would bother others. Go a few miles away to Table Mountain.

Good convenient location, no privacy, sound travels, available bathrooms but not very clean. Overall I would stay again but not the most secluded experience. Good for a quick getaway.

Host from Mountain High was awesome. They gave us free stickers of awesome yeti and MH logo to remember the good times and all the firewood for the kids and more s’mores. This place was pristine and we helped continue to keep it awesome!

Host is very nice. You can buy firewood from the host. Campistes are little close each other but few people came in winter so it's OK. Flush toilet with light at night. Very convenient and location is great.
@joshuad2829681 · Camped on Dec 1, 2022 at Campsite #15
The campground was good with the exception of not being able to have any kind of fire including camp fire, grills etc when I booked the reservation there was no mention of any kinda of restrictions at the campground. It was very disappointing and a little upsetting when you have plans of using a camp fire and grill and we were loaded down with extra items for a camp fire. Other than we made the best of it. Over all experience was ok
@DavidT5110185 · Camped on Nov 11, 2022 at Campsite #1
I would have given it a five star if the instruction on a website were a little bit more thorough. Camping out in winter time without the ability to have a bonfire is a bit torturing. After all who wants to stand around in the cold all day? There was wind advisory and it did get very windy throughout the night, so it was understandable that campfire was not allowed. Campground was all booked up from the website, but because of the restriction of not allowing open fire. The campground ended up with only a few camper. Glad I came to pair with a generator that help kept the family warm through the 43° cold. The camp has running water throughout and two public restroom that are very clean. There's fencing surrounding the camp which makes the kids feels a little bit more secure at night to prevent wild animal from coming in or preventing kids from venturing out too far. They're hiking trail all around. A small lake with parking restroom and picnic area.

We booked 8 but the parking was too small for 2 vehicles so the camp host changed our site to 10 which is non reservable site. It was flat and great location.
@JillM5029136 · Camped on Nov 4, 2022 at Campsite #9
This review reflects more on communication by the website. We were not able to stay at the campsite due to fire restrictions. They did not allow any campfires or even any open flame for cooking (ex. Propane stove). The nighttime temps were going to be in the 20’s so we were unable to stay, but no where on the website did it mention these fire restrictions. Only until we drove up to stay did the camp host let us know. There should be better communication on the website of any fire restrictions before we waste our time or money.
@EliasG7561002 · Camped on Nov 4, 2022 at Campsite #11
Clean site and flush bathrooms were nice while camping. Only complaint is that there was an open flame ban, so we weren’t able to use our gas grill and stove. Luckily, Wrightwood is a 15 mins drive and has restaurants. Definitely double check before you leave if you’re able to have any open flames. Take food you don’t need to cook, just in case.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
