Great campsite to escape from the summer heat. Nice accessible trails.

Love it here, been coming here for the past few years. Jim was a great host, he always made sure the restrooms were clean and fully stocked with toilet paper. He always made sure we hade everything we need and kept the site clean. Would definitely come back next year.

The phone mumber the website provides doesnt work. So its hard to contact them. Before your visit, you will receive a passcode to open the gate lock via email.I use Verizon, and it doesnt work as well up there. But the place was beautiful, quite, and lovely.The toilet is flush toilet. And each site has water faucet. We left early due to weather condition, but we like to visit again in a good weather.

We had 11 people, three tents. The custodian was very nice, freindly and professional. Our area was large and appropriate for the games we played, badmitton, corn hole etc and the cooking and bear proofing accomodations were fine. Didn't see any bears. However it was quite hot and there were lots of insects biting any bare skin on our legs and a few misquitos. The toilets were swarming with various insects, primarily moths. I think we simply picked the wong time and should have camped in May or prehaps early Sept.

Nice campground and excellent host Jim, he was very hospitable and informative. Would highly recommend bringing bug spray and citronella candles.

Very secluded area with minimal noise. We rarely heard the surrounding campsites. However, do recommend to bring either bug spray or a canopy for during the day.

It's a great group camping site just about 90 minutes from LA. We've camped here every year for the last 4 years and have always had a great time. The first year there was running water and that was awesome, but the last 3 you've had to bring your own water in AND use the portal-potties. (which are still much better than pit toilets, imo) There's great hiking- even for kids- and the water tower provides a great lookout point as well.

The campground has flush toilets but they have not been maintained and they have to provide portables, has no water to wash your hands or put out the fire ring

Nice spacious group sites with good amount of picnic tables. Good shade and plenty of space for tents, hammock and space for the kids to play. Not quite enough bear lockers for the big group we had. No running water and port-a-potties is a big negative. And the port-a-potties are pretty gross by the end of the weekend. Camp host could be a little more tolerant of allowing more than two cars at a time to pack up. She insisted that the cars only be next to the camp site for 15 minutes, which is not much time to pack up a car after camping. I like that there are no cars driving through on a regular basis and it makes it safe for kids, but for packing up, 15 min and only two cars at a time is not enough when you have several families on a big group camp site. I have been to this campsite three times, but likely won't go back because of the lack of running water and toilets.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
