The location we stayed at was perfect! It was super spacious and had enough privacy. Right at the entrance too! Overall great

Great host, family environment (more so than Upper Pines and equal to North Pines), even though it was by the road (site 28), we felt like we had privacy. Being close to Curry Village was great with little ones. Only reason it got a ding was because still no showers in 2024. Also, would be cool to see something at least a couple times a week in the amphitheater. There was nothing. Would be such a cozy thing for the kids in the evening.

-Staff were friendly and helpful.-I really enjoyed the lower-profile fire rings because they allowed me to see the flames clearly and fully enjoy the fire.-The evening program at Curry village was informative and provided a lot of valuable information, which was appreciated. However, it might be helpful to incorporate some engaging elements or interactive techniques to better capture and maintain the audience's attention throughout.-The internet was slow or no access at all, and there was no Wi-Fi in the campgrounds. I understand it's a national park and nature, but people still expect these amenities.

Great clean campground, nice host, wonderful location. Can take a shower at Curry village nearby for $5, water easily accessible. Closest campground to curry village.

People said this wasnt a great spot but it was quiet. Even next to the road. You get a few people walking through but if youre in camp they try to skirt the outside. Youre in shade for most of the day and the grill was great. Close to showers at curry camp too

Simply stunning

The lower pines campsites are some of the finest in Yosemite. The sites are in the lower valley close to curry village where the cafeteria and showers are. The bathrooms are a bit rundown and lack hand soap. Reservation are difficult to get since the sights sell out within seconds for summer nights. Multiple days are impossible to get forcing you to pack up and move each day. During the Summer months Yosemite is very crowded taking away from the spaciousness and tranquility of the park. Entrance to the park can take multiple hours during peak times.

Good site size, ample shade, close to river. Quiet time enforced for early risers / hikers.

The construction in Curry Village made transportation a bit of a struggle and we received conflicting information regarding park shuttles. A clear, definitive message via email regarding the construction and the shuttle changes would've been nice.

Awesome campsite - bring Deet or a mosquito net!

It is almost impossible to get a reservation - we only had one night. And of course, there were empty campsites there but no way to get an extra night without going on the website - which as we all know - is useless. Campground is nice but not private. Off topic - you need to fix the cliffs in the Curry Village parking lost. We damaged a leveling jack on the RV driving through the parking lot - $300 down the drain due to your lack of considering visitors and fixing giant holes in a very busy parking lot. All this fuss about bears - I would love to actually see one. Why that giant yurt village? It's ugly and congested and creates lots of traffic and too many people. Beautiful place to visit once.

Great location in the lower pines campground. We had a lovely view of half dome. It was nice and flat with limited traffic. This site (40) didnt have trees close enough to hammock though.

Great site and view of half dome. Will definitely be back!

Perfect campsite. Men's bathroom in our loop was not kept up well, women's was okay. Great shade and close to the river, water, bathroom and trash.

The campsite was great. Park was too crowded.

great location and with the improvements it is getting better; better access to phone service makes it easier to stay close to family and even the office

My husband and I had a magical time in Yosemite to celebrate our 5th Anniversary! We felt like we were camping in Disney world. Amazing accommodations, from showers (with towels!) to water filling stations and clean bathrooms on site. The views were breathtaking and fellow campers were so kind. We hope to be back one day!

Love it - my favorite- was extremely wonderful to have this site open up. Been coming every year to the Valley for 54 years, and my parents and grandparents before me, and harder and harder to get campsites. We were so glad these opened up later - as we had no luck with reservations for 3 months and then got the river site. Stoked!! Made our vacation for sure to be next to the water. And was the headquarters for our groups boating all week. :) See you soon Yosemite!

Great place to stay with Half Dome in sight. Just a small walk to Curry Village. Definitely a site to recommend!

Cons: One of the smaller spaces due to plants and dead trees.Across from the trash bins.Off the main entrance road. Mixed shade due to younger trees.Pros: Its lower pines!Clean bathrooms.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
