The location can't be beat! We were at Lower Pines Campground for 4 nights. Originally booked for two nights at one campsite and two nights at a second site, after a cancellation, we were able to stay for 3 nights at the second site. The fiery orange view of Half-Dome at sunset, the Merced River with the spectacular reflections of the granite cliffs, and night climbers with their headlamps shining on the full moon mountainside were magical. It would be nice if there was soap in the restrooms, and we ran into multiple folks having to switch their campsite every night to stay 2, 3, or 4 nights. I don't think there is much to be done about that, but it's worth some thought. Definitely one of the most beautiful places in the world to sleep under the stars!

We just had a great 4 night stay Oct 15-18 at Lower Pines. It was quieter than Upper Pines with fewer large rigs and very little generator use. Facilities were well maintained and we loved that recycling and garbage collection is convenient.

Love Lower Pines site 52 but was disappointed to see that three tall Ponderosas had been cut low since last year.

Lower pines was our favorite campsite we stayed at during our week long trip to Yosemite. Beautiful view of the mountains right at our sight. Beautiful star gazing and trees. Very clean bathroom facilities and comfortable amount of space between each campsite! Snag Lower Pines for as many nights as you can!

Friendly person to check me in with a map and bear info. Effort was made to have fires extinguished and voices quiet at 10pm.

We enjoyed our stay at Lower Pines. We have a 25' motorhome and we liked how level our pad was. The campground was tidy and clean. The Yosemite Valley shuttle bus stops near the entrance which is convenient.

Awesome site location. Very large, could fit multiple tents and easy-up. Close to the river, close to the bathroom without it being too bright and without people walking through the site.

Incredibly convenient and clean campground, right inside Yosemite Valley. The hosts were very sweet, and it's by far the best campground we've ever stayed at in terms of views. Just a couple of things to keep in mindthere's no soap in the bathrooms, and be sure to lock all your food away securely.

Beautiful campground. Spacious sites. There is construction happening to maintain the campground but it did not affect our stay.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
