A beautiful place to camp. Watch for the climbers at night. You can see their headlamps

Great campsite in the valley plenty of hikes nearby within walking distance. Definitely grab a spot here if you can!

Great campground with an excellent location close to the village, complemented by a shuttle service. The park rangers are very helpful and friendly, and the bathrooms are clean.

Spot 004s parking area was a giant puddle. All good otherwise.

Campsite 14 - great site a lot of space. Close to the restroom, but there were no issues. Two picnic tables and a fire ring. Enough space for 2 tents. Theres an empty space between the campsite and bathrooms where kids were able to play. Fallen leaves were beautiful. Will try to book this site again.

A great shout-out to the campground host of Lower Pines who helped us with a jammed padlock on our bear locker. He was our hero!

This site is far away from other sites and pretty private.

With the shutdown in full swing, we were a little apprehensive as to how our trip would play out. Upon arriving, our concerns were quickly allayed. Don, the volunteer ranger manning the gate at lower pines, was so informative and reassuring not to mention kind and warm; we found ourselves coming back to his station numerous times over the next 2 days just to bend his ear. The news reports of the mayhem befalling the park were nonexistent in our experience, due in large part to the commitment of these fine men and women volunteering their time to ensure the rest of us could bask in the splendor of this magical place. We stayed in 2 sites, 18 and 21, both affording amazing views of the monolithic formations surrounding us. It was our first time experiencing it and is sure to tarnish nearly any other park we visit. Those vistas and the sheer scale are going to be difficult to top. Thanks to all who volunteered their precious time to assure that all of us could have a safe and enjoyable experience. Great campground, convenient to shuttle. Some issue with maneuvering into spot, but made it and had an enjoyable stay. Pay attention to size and maneuvering when picking a spot.

We came here during the full moon and the views were incredible. Overall, we loved our stay and felt so grateful to snag this spot. The only downside is the fire pit faces a neighboring site that's already quite close. Would happily stay here again though!

This was a great campsite next to the Merced River, close to the bathrooms and close to the trail over to Curry Village. We spent seven days there in the valley and it was a perfect central location.

Beautiful spot, maintained and equipped restrooms.

Fr the best campgrounds I think. I absolutely loved being so close to all my favorite things in the valley. The best part was being a walking distance from curry village!

We were so happy Yosemite stayed open during the shut down! It was our last park on a 2 week 6 parking road trip we were on. Volunteer, Ranger Bob, was amazing and went out of his way to find my boys junior ranger books. We were bummed we couldn't find badges but i guess that means we have to come back. My kids have now been to 22 national parks and we cant wait to explore more!

Loved the whole time we were there. Great hikes around Mirror Lake, Columbia Rock, Panorama Trail, and Bridal Veil Fall. Drinks on the patio at the Ahwahnee. What was not so convenient were the long lines at both the Curry general store and the Village Store. Not sure if that's a shortage of cashiers or checkout stands. But that was a minor blip in an otherwise near perfect week.

Just wish there were showers in each campground and rolling window reservations.

This was our second time camping in Lower Pines in the Yosemite Valley, and it was another great experience! Having such immediate access to the entire valley (including hikes, stores, etc) is incredible. And being right next to the Merced River is also a highlight. We highly recommend this camping location.

We have been going to Yosemite almost every year and my husband and I discovered this campground only now. We missed the turn several times while looking for the site because we arrived late at night and had to drive around again which is a one way big loop to get back. A lot of pine trees, plenty of shades and easy access to the roads. Trails all over and close to the rivers. The views are breathtaking everywhere, so mesmerizing beautiful!

Great view from our site #35. It is right by the bathroom which we didnt use and it didnt bother us. The site is short and not quite wide enough to park side by side trailer and truck. But we managed to park the truck crossways. Great location for bike trails and catching the shuttle.

Campground was good as usual. Bathrooms stayed clean even with the rain. Issues with people walking through the campsite to get to the bathroom. They would walk in between the picnic table and the car. Note that there are groups with Naturebridge that are along the river during the day. We were not expecting many groups of school aged children in the off season.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
