its wonderful the lake is so clean so many hiking trails . The only thing is the tree limbs scratching your unit in various places, especially when backing into a lot of the spots!

My second visit. I like the campsites very much but was disappointed to see that the water had been drained about 20 or more. I wasnt aware that the lake is drained each year as the winter season approaches. The site numbers on some of the sign posts were very difficult to read. That said I would still go back again but during the summer season.

Our stay at Battlerun was only an overnighter. We were experiencing vehicle problems and headed straight back home the next day. However, Battlerun is a very nice campground and we will undoubtedly return. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay with our 5 children. We enjoy being close to the lake as the children can spend a lot of time at the lake.

Beautiful park and area. Very disappointed to find out when we get there that NO PETS ARE ALLOWED! That in it self is odd but what ever. However, NOWHERE in the reservation process does it tell you that NO Pets are allowed. That is such an unusual stipulation for a campground that it should be in Bold letters all over the websites. I was told that after you selected the site and entered all you information there is a button for acknowledgments and somewhere in that attachments it tells you no Pets. I typically dont read the fine print acknowledgments so ok it might be my fault but come on! How about in the section where you enter your camper information like length and hook up info. People pay attention to this. Adding the stipulation of no pets there would be way more helpful than in the acknowledgement after you secured your site and added the payment information . We have 2 dogs under 40 lb and told the Ranger who knocked at our door that we would keep them inside The Motorhome all the time carry them to the car and take them outside the park to walk. I had draped towels in the back windows of the transportation car to hide them from other campers not to cause any upset . However we were told we could not stay. We were over 900 miles from home on a Labor Day weekend with no chance to find another site. Check in is not until 6 pm at this park and the Ranger visit was close to 7 pm. He did end up allowing us to sleep there but out first thing in the am. Very disappointed. The park looked beautiful and is in perfect location. The Ranger was polite and seemed sincere when he said it was the worst part of his job to tell people they have to leave. My suggestion again is to state the policy clearly on the website and to perhaps modify your policy to pet free loops instead of the whole park. We did request a refund will have to see what happens.

Restrooms very well cleaned and neat. Employees at gate friendly. Campsite was clean fire pit was full of ashes but later emptied and cleaned. Would like to see more places to ride bikes around campground.

The restrooms are very very clean. Grass needed cut. Its a no pets allowed campground although I have seen dogs without service vest on and would like to know why

The campground and bath houses are well maintained and generally very clean! My only concern & we shared with park rangers who were doing a survey is the difficulty in securing a reservation. It has become more difficult over the years. We started coming here yearly 35+ years ago and it remains our favorite place. We make reservations in January to secure our dates for July. Sitting at 10am to click book it and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't is very frustrating when you have a large RV and try to get our favorite spot. That is the only downfall for Battle Run campground. Hope to see you next year hopefully on lot #20! Cathedral Falls must see!

It's really nice but the grass needed cut & one of the showers in the women's bathroom wouldn't adjust to cold water. It was too hot.

Best campground around the area.

We stayed in tent site #7 and there was no one in the middle sites all three nights we were there so we had a lot of privacy. If there were people there however, they would have been pretty close. We could walk down the hill in the back of the site to access the water but it was very steep. It was strange and inconvenient that there was no dish sink or drinking water access (besides a water fountain) at the bathroom closest to the tent sites. The site was nicely shaded, but very rocky and not level. Sites #2-6 had more level ground.

We love camping at battle run. However, the bathhouses could use a remodel. Otherwise, Battle Run is a great family campground. The kids love swimming in the lake, riding their bikes, and playing at the park. The police and park rangers do a great job of patrolling the park, as well.

Been going to Battle Run for over fifty years. Not much improvements in that time. Bathhouses need to have A/C. Need boat docks around campsites. Need drift wood gathered up on the lake.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
