The campground is very nice and well kept. The camp sites are paved which is great and theyre nice and roomy. The bathhouse is heated and showers have hot water. It was a quiet stay and we definitely be returning! Only downside is theres no cell service. And the contact phone no one ever picked up the couple times I tried calling about questions.

The campground was a typical ACOE campground in that the sites are among the best you'll find: level, well-equipped and maintained; and spacious. The bathroom and shower facilities were very clean, though there were a few improvements to be made. There weren't any benches and some of the showers were in disrepair (one didn't get hot and was spraying from a leak; and one needed hanging hooks); I improvised by taking a portable outdoor table to the shower.The setting was absolutely gorgeous, situated along the river that feeds the lake. The sites around the entire campground were all desirable the different loops each had their own personalities. Trudi from the Camp Store was wonderful and added to our positive experience; very helpful and congenial!Caution, however: there is absolutely no cell service in the campground or anywhere close to the campground. We drove 5 miles to get service to communicate with our family. Scope out your activities before you go, and locate the closest medical facilities, in the event of an emergency. Because of the lack of connectivity, I would have appreciated having more pamphlets / information about what else the area offers, including information about the hiking trails in the park. As a result, we stayed close to camp.

The site was beautiful. However, we never saw any hosts the entire stay. We stopped numerous times at the entrance and host sites. Nothing. We had no cell service and with no host we couldn't get contact if there was an emergency. Very disappointing and didn't feel safe

The campground had bees all over the grassy area. The restrooms smell very unclean. especially the woman's. The water that was coming out of the hoses (and in to our trailer) at our site was very brown.. and the pressure was poor. I understand that there is a major drought but if you are not able to provide pure clean water ...shut the campground down. Now, I need to purify my water system in our trailer. and the filter will need changed. Even though there is a drought the grassy are behind our trail could have been mowed to lower the bee population. Our dog and one of us got bit..NO FUN! I think it would also have been polite to let us know that all of the water was gone from the water way in front of the campers. Very disappointing. a heads up email would have worked.. All in all these things make it hard to want to come back.

There is no Internet or cell phone signal, although it seemed we had it last year when we were there. This is something we need for work and so we left a day early. No one in the check-in booth to help us cancel the second day and no way on the website to cancel If you are at the campground and leaving early.

We really enjoy the camp ground, the price , places on the water..we stay in full hookupAlways a nice stay. But there need to be trash dumpsters closer to the camp sites. The dog on leash need to be invoiced morepeople think their dogs wont hurt anyone but if you dont have a dog or care for dogs or afraid of them it doesnt matter how friendly they think their dog is. Thank you

Plenty of room in the camping areas. The rv area was a little crowded but not too bad..

The campground was very nice. Our site was large and there was a good amount of space between sites. There wasnt any cell service even with our booster. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Be advised: neighbors in a large group partied all night long - drinking alcohol, blasting music, using profane language, and jumping into the lake until 6:00 am. Think twice if you want an enjoyable and quiet camping experience - especially as this campground is advertised as a family campground. Never in my life have I ever witnessed such blatant disrespect for everyone else in the campground, and on top of that, did not see the host once. Since nobody reprimanded the folks that were partying, Im sure theyll be back but we most definitely will never return.

The grounds could have used some attention. The grounds needs refreshed They just look tired and used (visit with fresh set of eyes)State park grounds much better maintainedThe contractor, I assume, came thru park but did not pick up trash that was hanging etcThe playground had several cans/bottles wrappers the kids had thrown down. I cleaned everything up only to go back next day with more liter Not sure how you combat this but get message out to parentsRoad bad in two places. 4th of July weekend and no activities

I've always loved this campground because of the beautiful setting and the very helpful personnel. However, the lack of telephone service this year became problematic. I had forgotten this drawback until I was nearly at the campsite, and had neglected telling family and friends where I'd be for a couple of days. That caused a bit of angst.Idea, is this feasible: Rent space through a local phone tower and add a $5 phone access fee to all two or more-day camper stays to help cover your cost?

Always peaceful and quiet cant wait to go back in June!
@DeborahS476998 · Camped on May 19, 2024 at Campsite #50
We were there from 5-13 thru 5-21. Grass at site had not been mowed. Came on Monday 5-20 and mowed. Dumpsters were over flowing. Brought 2 other couples with their own campers. So 3 sites....high grass everywhere. Real concern about ticks....came last year also for 8 nights....same thing....high grass and overflowing dumpsters. Please start mowing the campground sooner than the week before Memorial Day.
@DanS6740969 · Camped on May 13, 2024 at Campsite #65
The grass wasn't cut till the day before we left. They never did empty the trash containers. We like it there but these two things made the stay this year not as good as last year.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
