We are an old, experienced couple camping at Goose Point Recreation Area. As always, it was a beautiful, quiet and nice experience. Always quite at Goose Point Park.

We absolutely love coming to Goose Point. The park is well maintained and kept clean. We loved it so much we did a video with a great review and put it on our YouTube channel.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed at. We were on site 20c with an absolutely gorgeous view of the lake going north. The site was flat and easy to set up on with no drainage issues and we had a major storm come through. The bath house is wonderful and always clean. It is easy to access either along the road on sidewalks that shorten the distance. You cannot access the water from our site (15-20' vertical drop) but the boat ramp and swillming area is only a short walk. We would highly recommend and plan to return next year.

Please make sure phones are working. We tried calling an entire day only to find out the day after that the phone lines had been down for quite awhile. This would help when trying to move campsites when there are cancellations.

Not any help around when you try to call the office. Constantly loud vehall night, people checking in at exactly 10pm and extremely loud setting up until 2am. Not the peace and quiet it should have been

We love Goosepoint! Its well patrolled, feels safe with kids and grandkids. Its so natural, no commercialism is sweet! The maintenance people were right on things, after storms that knocked out power to some they were right there. The park rangers present often and the sites were all nice and good size, some much roomier than others. Philpott lake is a perfect example of people working together to keep things nice, keep an eye out for each other- the way it should be. You dont have to worry about locking everything and people taking things. Nice bathhouse with excellent water pressure.. Its such a wonderful lake for boating, skiing, pulling floats and pulling into a cove to swim, fish, read, relax. Most everyone is friendly and not a big party place. This is a great place for good children and pets, and people respect each other, understanding about barking dogs and fussy children, a very family atmosphere.

Overall the campground was great. Our camping pad/area was huge and provided plenty of space.

Tight roads for big rigs but the park is wonderful.

Goose Point is a great campground with friendly campers. The park rangers are helpful and friendly. Most of the campsites have shade. Philpott Lake is clean and clear. The fish werent biting but the boat rides were fun. The water was low b/c of lack of rain, but the beach was still usable and the water was deep enough for swimming and playing. The weather was unusually hot. I was happy to have electricity that ran the AC and kept the RV cool. We left 2 days early because of thebheat and were surprised a couple of days later when we received an email about a refund. Certainly was not expecting that. We are looking forward to our next visit in cooler weather.

Goosepoint is my favorite place to camp! The sites are nice and spacious! I love being able to look at the lake. Our site and others I saw could use some gravel. It made it dusty without enough gravel. Other than that it has been great!!

One of virginias hiden campground thats totally awesome , its our favorite always plenty of kids for the kids to play with enough privacy. You dont feel like youre stuck up under another camper. Restrooms and showers are usually always clean. Awesome beach.

I have a small camper, the site was so steep had extremely hard time getting in and hitching up to leave. Have a 4 wheel drive vehicle, even in 4 wheel. The beach swimming are is no longer fun as the day use people are highly vocalizing 4 letter words constantly in front of children and families. I do not feel I can take my grandkids here anymore. This behavior is ongoing and getting worse. The Handicap Bathroom shower does not work, the cleanliness is no longer of the high level it used to be. There is no longer any recycling containers that I saw. The water pressure at the site I was on was extremely high, even with my pressure reducing element. A loud drunk or whatever guy in a pick up truck sped all screech all around the parking lot and thru the campground unstopped frightening many campers. Have camped here for years, it is going downhill fast. What is going on? Hoping things change. The employees are all very good. That's it in a nutshell.

Had a wonderful stay at Goose Point Campground. We did have a problem with our 50amp power not working when we arrived, but the park ranger Jason went out of his way to try to help us find a solution. We appreciate the excellent customer service! The campsite itself was flat and clean and private. The bathrooms were kept clean as well. The showers could be better designed as water did not drain properly and flooded the floors, but convenient to have after a day at the lake. We enjoyed our 2 night stay. Thanks again to the amazing park rangers!!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
