I love Rocky Knob! Beautiful views and clean restrooms. I just wish they had showers. The Saturday evening concerts are wonderful! The fun town of Floyd is just down the road and hiking trails abound.

Very well taken care of, plenty of space between campsites, easy walk to great hiking.

Camp hosts were very nice. We enjoyed the view from the top of Rocky Knob. Bathroom in loop B does not have any lights.

Really really quiet. Only a few campers here. Its a nice area near good trails. Most sites completely shaded. As with most of the bathrooms along the parkway, a refurbishment would be nice.

Warm welcome from Host Campers. This was the opening weekend of the season so we experienced water problems.

Wonderful campground with very friendly camp hosts. Perfect spot to camp during the autumn and enjoy the fall foliage and hiking around Rocky Knob. The camp hosts had also arranged local live music Saturday night that was quite fun.

October, quiet, nice experience. Not a bear in sight, but was wondering who absconded with all the chestnuts?

Great, peaceful campsite. Plenty of space and not overly crowded in early October.

Nice campground close to the trails. Only complaints were that there wasnt a level area for a tent and we didnt have a lantern hook at our site. I noticed some sites didnt have any fire rings which could be inconvenient.

Beautiful location. Staff friendly and most helpful. Quiet area with lots of wildlife. Some sites are a little difficult to get level in but you can usually work around that. Love this place!

Lovely campground on Blue Ridge Pkwy. Friendly staff at check-in. Campground is clean and well maintained. Was traveling with a small trailer, and the pull through site was perfect for me. Will definitely stay here again.

Outstanding facilities and wonderful staff. Special kudos to Libby and Wayne Berch. They really went beyond even the extra mile to take care of us.

There was a nice ranger at the front and plenty of camping spots to choose from. Many of the sites were pretty close together, but there were a few with more privacy. Bathrooms were in good condition. $10 for a small bundle of firewood seemed a bit excessive. Overall was a decent place to camp on the Parkway.

The Campground Ranger/Manager is a really nice guy, very friendly and very helpful with any information you need. The campground Host is also very friendly and helpful. The entire campground is neat and clean and that makes it a joy to camp there. Firewood is available and every Saturday night they have live music for the campers; it is such fun. There are many well marked trails close by from "easy " to "strenuous". All in all, it is a great campground and I plan to visit there often this fall !

Excellent stay. Was there over the weekend and maybe only 10-15 campers total. Very quiet. Bathrooms. Saturday night they had a local musician. Recommend site on outside of loops.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
