We had our wedding and vow renewal here and it was beautiful!! Perfect setting for an outdoor wedding. It was super easy for every one to park here and I loved that it had an indoor space where people could sit and talk as well. Would definitely recommend for any family/friend gathering.

it was great

camp hosts were awesome, stayed there multiple times this summer! The only problem with this facility in my opinion is some of the sinks haven't worked for a couple of years, it's not a water issue since there are flushing toilets, and some of the lights are out, which there should be maintenance personnel available when things like that happen

Beautiful camping spot and a wonderful relaxing time! However, the campsite had not been cleaned before our arrival. The restroom had a dead earthworm on the floor for several days, a busted toilet stall door, and a sink faucet that continually leaks ands sprays water all over the sink. The nearest water spigot sprays water uncontrollably getting everything around it soaking wet including the camper.

wonderful campground close to urban area.

The table was so deformed and broken we could hardly use it. The site was so tiny and it was hard to find a place for our tent. It was rated for 8 people, but could barely fit our one tent.

Site 49 is a wonderful site and perfect for tents: secluded, plenty big & flat, and surrounded by aspens and other beautiful vegetation. There are flush toilets and sinks in the bathhouses. Make sure you have your own hand soap. PLEASE be sure to read the Need to Knows more carefully than I did. There is a gate that closes at 10pm. If you arrive after, you have to park your car outside the gate on the road and then walk to your site in the pitch black with all your equipment. Highly inconvenient.

This campground is wonderful, we really enjoyed the scenery. The campground was clean and very well taken care of. The hosts were great and very friendly. We liked it so well that we re-scheduled another trip.

beautiful area

This has been the best site weve found yet. Lovely, with a river running through the campsite, (may not be great for families with small children) the bathroom is close, but not so close that you hear people going in and out. There are flush toilets but no working sinks or water fountains, so make sure you have washing and drinking water. The water pump by the bathroom worked fine for filling containers. It is shady most of the day, with a couple hours in the morning when the picnic tables are in direct sun, but a canopy set up overhead can deflect the heat. No immediate neighbors in three directions, just across to the East. Downsides were the roots that cut through the pavement in the picnic area, serious tripping hazard! Also a plethora of daddy long legged spiders and noisy squirrels. (If you dont like those kinds of things.)

The campground is nice over all, has water and flush toilets.

Site 23...nice site, a little closer to other sites than the map indicates. Really great Donut Falls trail access. Bathrooms mostly clean. There was a weird smell around the campground, which seemed to draw flies a lot more than usual, but overall an enjoyable experience.

Our extended family group of 14 reserved two yurts for campers ages 2-78 (with tent space there, too). We had a fantastic time! Everyone slept well, made meals using the grill and fire pit, and played hard. One day we went to hike to the beautiful Lake Mary and another to Silver Lake, a simple mile hike on level ground at Brighton. The Yurts for us, at our age, are the only way to go, given we don't have campers or recreational vehicles. The hosts were helpful and the campsite well maintained.

We absolutely loved campsite 7! Close to bathrooms, the stream, and plenty of shade for both of our spring bar tents. We loved how many trees there were to set up our hammocks. It was a blast, we will definitely be making this campground into frequent places to camp. The water spigots and flushing toilets were a really nice break from pit toilets and burry it yourself. Several of us also had a little bit of phone service up there too. I hallway prefer not to have service, but we did have a little bit of a medical problem come up so it was a tender mercy to have with the situation.

I really love camping at the Spruces , but unfortunately for the last two year the campground seems to need an upgrade in the roads and the campsites , I know last year snow pack did damaged some of it but its time to get it fixed, anyway its a great place to enjoy the mountains, the holsters are always great

We love camping at Spruces Campground but unfortunately this particular site (site 27) was NOT our favorite. If you are camping for just 1 day where you come after 3 and leave before noon it should be completely fine for you. We stayed for several days early in the season and there is NO SHADE at this site from 12-3. Well we had about a 1 foot square patch of shade in the corner by the table that my kids fought over but ..... man if you are staying more than 1 night either bring a canopy or pick a different site. The site below us (to the west) or the site across the street both had tons of shade.

Be aware that water is turned off to bathroom sinks. Bring your own hand sanitizer! Also, the bathrooms were never attended to the two nights, three days that we were there. This site was close to neighbors on either side.
@DavidD5028320 · Camped on Jun 9, 2024 at Campsite #13
Site 13. Nice! Morning and afternoon shade thanks to the tall trees with mid-day sun. Easy backing in a 25ft TT and room for the tow vehicle. 4 inches of blocks to get level. Near restrooms. a tiny creek is a short walk, sounds of the river once traffic dies down at night. 3 moose walked through as we enjoyed morning coffee. Adding this to our list of favorites!

Stay at Spruces just about every year and the new team of hosts this year is outstanding! The campsite is clean and organized. Kudos!!!!

The group site was in rough shape. Uneven tables and benches were difficult to sit at. For the cost to reserve this site was not worth the price we paid. We will not be using this anytime soon. Repairs need to be updated.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
