We loved our stay, the camp sites were spacious and clean. Great lake for us to Kayak on and the park itself was good for cycling. Overall, we would definitely go back.

Had to leave a night early because of very low voltage. Voltage was running 104 volts to 105 volts on one leg and 107 to 108 onto the other leg. I told the gate watchman about it. Hope they fix it because I love camping at Wilson H Fox.

Sites are nice and close to the lake, which is nice. Power and water are good. The biggest need in this location is maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning of the bathroom facilities. They say they are cleaned Friday, Saturday, and Monday. I was there Friday through Sunday and never saw any evidence that any cleaning was done.If you are 100% bringing your own, then the location is nice and very convenient to Round Rock, Hutto, Georgetown for a quick weekend getaway.

All the sites are well maintained but the fishing area's were not clean of trash and not enough trash cans placed around the area. My wife and I picked up a trash bag full.

Great parknice and quiet during the week. Love the trails and fishing. The east mens shower is in pretty rough shape.

We love the park! Been here twice and will be back. We like this park over the others because they have a gate to the campground so not anyone can drive into it! Both times the gate bar at some point was broken and laying on the ground!! Wish they had a gate code so we could come in a little later than 10. Sunday -Thur you are almost alone. Fills up on the weekend!

Both parks at Granger Lake have neat, tidy grounds. The sites are far enough apart to provide privacy and peaceful quiet.

Lake was flooded and the beach was not open. NO NOTIFICATION of such was ever sent to us prior to the reservation, nor was it indicated as such at the gate when we checked in!!! We don't go for boating or fishing so the park lost 75% of it's interest to us. We had planned a family get together on the beach that weekend and had to cancel. Ended up leaving a day early because we couldn't use the beach.Extremely poor correspondence (AS IN NONE!) on the fact the beach was closed. And it wasn't that the beach was just closed that weekend. It had been closed weeks prior so notice could have been provided.

Pretty place, especially in the spring. Lake access and boat parking are great, RV parking area and connections were just right and the shelter was plenty large. We enjoyed our time there.

This is a nice park, the camp sites have ample room between each one. The bathrooms are decent, could use some updating.
@Christian11090 · Camped on May 12, 2024 at Campsite #32
Sites were level, park was quiet (was there Sun - Weds,) and bathrooms abundant throughout the park however... Each bathroom was in dire need of both cleaning and maintenance. Terrible shape and filthy. I saw 3 or 4 camp host there and it appears that none of them do thorough cleaning of sites upon guest departure nor clean bathrooms per the posted schedule (Fri, Sat & Mon.)

Overall the park is great! This shelter needs some attention.

Very quite and clean park, the picnic tables and the roofs over the tables are very large and continually shade the table most all day, the staff at the park are very nice and helpful, the grass is well kept and maintained just a beautiful park

We enjoyed our stay. We had originally hoped to stay longer, but health issues cut the stay short. Still, we were able to enjoy the time with many our RV friends for the annual Crawfish Boil. We found the park staff very helpful and friendly, and they regularly patrolled the park, which we welcomed. The sites were reasonably well maintained, but we had two heavy downpours which left a bit of standing water around some of the picnic table shelters. Our AT&T cell service was spotty (usually only one bar - and often no service). The dump station was in good condition and tidy.

Very nice park with sites spaced well apart. Lots of mature trees. Most sites are level and paved. Not really any walking trails, but you can still walk around on the camp ground roads. We will be back.

Over all the camping spots are good. However the bathrooms are dirty even though someone cleaned them while we were there they are still dirty. Also I do not like the fact that the gate is closed at 10 pm and you can not come in the park at all even as a guess.

Restrooms and showers not clean and could really use an overhaul. Staff very friendly.

Great place to camp until Karen arrives. Yelled at everyone driving by to slow down and they all were under the speed limit. Obnoxious human.

Stayed in a tent on site 10. As other reviewers mentioned, there is not a flat spot for a tent unless you dont want to use the fire pit. We also ended up pushing the picnic table and setting up on the concrete pad under the shelter. A nice walking path down to a finger of the lake behind the site. Some neighboring campers in RVs had flood lights pointing straight at our tent as they LOUDLY played cornhole but at least they werent blaring music or using language that was too bad. Just a bit of drunken fun. And their noise stopped like flipping a switch at 10 pm quiet hours so at least there was that. It was a couple hours later than our 3 yr olds bedtime on her 1st camping trip but it was still an enjoyable time. Also, it would be nice if campers w RVs and Xmas lights could turn them off when they went to bed. Even with a rain fly on, our tent was fully lit up all night long. Great pebble beach, great host, clean bathrooms. Our campsite was clean when we got there. Really like the small counter under the shelter to set up food or lanterns. Small nice playground.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
