It's flexible that they allowed us to check in sooner when the previous group left before 3pm. Restroom is close to our campsites and it's clean (not too clean though). We booked a 50amp campsite and it has 50amp, 30amp and regular outlets which is great. You expect to hear strange sound at midnight when animals go out and find food :-). I'll definitely recommend this park for camping for everyone.

Disappointed there was a burn ban- but no fault to the park. It was clean and well kept! We love visiting Jim Hogg!

Great view of the lake. Spot was mowed and kept up with. Wish there was a tree or two for some shade. Was nice to have a direct path to the water. Bathrooms were ok.

Always have a great stay at Jim Hogg. We had a site with a lake view. The sites are also large and has a covered pavilion at each site. Only down side on this last visit was a County burn ban due to dry weather, but thats to be expected during dry spells in TX.

This was our second trip to Jim Hogg campground. We were there in Feb of 24 after an ice storm that tore down many of the trees in the park. Was pleasantly surprise to see that almost all of the broken trees and branches were picked up and hauled off. Our site was fairly level with no issues there. Nice shade trees and park was very clean. Liked that the park is locked 24 hours a day, need a pass code to enter. We have never seen so many children running up and down the park streets on the weekends, really fun to see and great that parents are getting their kids out in nature. Lots of deer as well. The bathrooms are pretty typical for campgrounds clean enough and showers worked well.

Nice park. Clean with covered picnic tables. Big sites. No problems.

Campground was great, showers not so much. The weekends were full of several nearby campsites full of tents that stayed up late and were loud. Quiet hours were not enforced. The location was great.

We enjoyed our time at JimHogg park. We were at site 113, it was well kept and clean. Someone else mentioned in their review easy back in and view of the lake. It was a sharper turn then expected with trees across the way as well its a site that goes uphill. The pad site was not completely level and you will lean towards the passenger side with a large drop off between the pad site and dirt. There is no view of the lake due to drought but even if it was full I dont feel you would have that large of a view. The covered table was large and very nice. Camp host at check in were friendly and helpful. The bathrooms need an update but were clean.

We liked it a lot. I was a bit confused because on the website it said that there was no burn ban in the campsites, but when we pulled in, there were no fires signs all over the place. We still had a good time, but I chose that camp area because it showed on the website that we could have fires.

Jim Hogg COE park is a great stopover place for us. Close to the I35 as we travel south from the Dallas area, to San Antonio. Lots of different sites for everyone's differing needs. We have a 40' class A towing a jeep and had no difficulty in navigating the park, parking, and water/electric worked well. Lots of shopping for all needs nearby. We will stop here again and again.

It is a very nice park. The only thing the rest rooms and showers need to be updated.

Could use some maintenance on rv site parkiing. Holes in pavement where you step out of rv arelittle dangerous.

Park is beautiful, with lots of trees and large camping lots. Peaceful, quiet, and felt private. We will be back here when we can enjoy the lake.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
