My group had an excellent mini-campout at Reynolds Creek. (Unfortunately we were rained out on Friday night)The facilities were great (toilet, shower, electrical hook ups, covered pipe stalls for the horses, and a nice pavilion); the only thing we missed was a roaring campfire since we were under a burn ban but thats no ones fault, of course. Looking forward to future trips and exploring more of the intricate trail system.

Wish they had lights above the horse stalls

Park was flooded, no one in the guard booth. Should have been closed. I was never notified and charged for my entire weekend today which I did not attend. I need to work on a better notification system.

Beautiful park could use some updating

Park was in a good location for access to Waco and loved how camp areas only had a few spots. The BAD was maintenance of the grounds.

Campsite was totally over grown with weeds and the cinder pad was full of thistle and tree limbs. We asked the gate attendant on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to send someone to clean it up. They finally sent someone on Sunday afternoon,?which was the day before we were leaving. They used the weedeater on the cinder pad while we were away and covered our chairs and equipment with dirt. They did not mow or clean up branches. Also, the nearby ladies restroom did not have water and was also overgrown with weeds.

I booked an equestrian place (horse place), because no other place was available. This is not recommandable without a horse, because there is no real camp-place for tents, but I was thankfull to get a place at this fully booked night

We have camped at the equestrian campground many times and it's been good, but this last trip you get an excellent! The area around camp had been freshly mowed, and the bathrooms/shower building was cleaned and well kept....that hasn't always been the case in the past. We had a great long weekend and a wonderful view of the total eclipse.

The equestrian facilities were wonderful! The horse pens were great. The restrooms were cleaned (debugged) regularly.The campground had been mowed and the trees trimmed. It was a lovely stay. The bonus were the bluebonnets that were striking, and of course, the eclipse.

Site too close to others. Should eliminate it leaving the others to be real nice ones.

Bugs were out of control in the bathrooms. Our camp site was littered with cigarettes, trash, food, and beer cans. The site pad was very narrow and uneven. Very disappointing and we will not be back.

Lake view from campsite was very pretty. Staff was kind and helpful with site change after we arrived.

The park is filthy. It has never been cleaned up from the last flood. Theres debris all over the shorelines. You cannot get to the water at any spot. There is no swimming space the showers are like Prison showers your magic button and it lasts about 30 seconds and goes off and the water is too freaking hot to even take a shower. There are people living in the park. They have consumed 5 to 6 campsites, and they have been there months maybe even years they have metal buildings for the storage. They even had an 18 wheeler delivering stuff to them while we were there, these were not the gate keepers they live up by the gate. This was a planned of people that have taken over these campsites, and they need to be told to get out of the park apart rules for 14 consecutive days and no more yet these people are allowed to live there for months on end , the people at the gate are filthy and nasty and they need to take a bath and brush their nasty teeth. We will never go back to Reynolds Creek. It was the worst park weve ever been in.

Great equestrian campground. However, as few public lands provide any accommodations for horse riders, I’m disappointed when campers w/o horses are allowed to camp in an equestrian campground, especially when there are remaining open sites in the non-equestrian areas.

We were in site 31; very level site. However, there was no bbq grill, only a pole. When presenting the woman at the booth, she informed us to just take off another one and put it on our pole!!! How ridiculous. Those things are SOOO heavy. No other help available. We had to go buy something to cook our food on since everything we brought was for a grill.

We have camped at Reynolds Creek for the last 20 years. Our experiences have been so varied and many, I'm sad to say, have not been favorable. For the last 10 or so years, we have stayed in Site 11. We have been told so many variations of the rules of parking that we are not sure what to do anymore. In the past we were told that we could park our boat trailers in the grass. Then we are told that we cannot park them at our campsite, but must use the parking lot across from the restrooms. We did that the next year and found a note on the boat trailer stating that we couldn't park our trailer there. On our most recent visit, we had just pulled up to Site 11 (hadn't even parked the camper). The boat was was hooked behind the camper so we unhooked it so that we could park the camper. We were immediately swooped in upon by the gate attendant who said that we couldn't park our boat where we had put it (just so that we could position the camper). He was quite rude - I mean, we had just arrived and were already being hassled by the gate attendant. We asked if we could park the trailer in the grass and was told no - one wheel had to be on pavement. We also asked if we could park in the parking lot across from the restroom an were told absolutely not (from what we observed, this parking lot is not used by anyone). So we complied by this gate attendant's rules. A few days later, we ran into a Park Ranger and asked if we could park the trailer in the parking lot across from the restrooms and he said that it wouldn't be a problem. After telling him what we were told by the gate attendant, he said he would speak to him. So, could we please get some rules posted on a sign so that we know exactly what we are allowed to do? There is absolutely no consistency and a lot of frustration when trying to guess what the rules are this year as opposed to the previous year(s).

We have a 43' motorhome. Reserved Site E1. It was an equestrian site. Plenty of room, level and no obstacles. Had a nice pavilion and a clean bathroom with shower right there. Had good AT&T and verizon signal. Picked up about 30 channels on OTA tv antenna. We stayed here because it was near family. Check out my youtube video about our stay at Reynolds creek. @BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
