It's a nice, quiet little campground with a great view of Lake Waco. Clean with friendly staff. Will be back.

This campground is fantastic. From the sweet lady at the gate who kept me informed of inclement weather to the gorgeous views. And I was blown away t the deer population there. Also, the bathrooms and showers were so clean. They were the nicest showers Ive used at a campground. I look forward to retaining here for the gorgeous views and totally perfect week

Stayed here several times while visiting in Waco. Love this campground. Its beautiful and natural. We enjoyed watching the squirrels run, gather and play. The mature trees provide great shade. Its also quiet and peaceful. Very close to everything shops, restaurants and museums.

This was our 1st time camping at Midway and we were very impressed with the campground. The sites were big and most of them shady. The sites were all paved with plenty of room to park. The showers were big with plenty of hot water. We will definatly camp there again.

Clean, level, pull thru. Close to road so noise but able to sleep. Some distance to bath house. Nice view of lake.

There were people playing music and laughing loud until 3 am. There were no rangers near by to monitor activities. Would not recommend

pretty view, nice site and close to town. What more could we ask for.

Campground was very nice. Bathrooms could be better maintained. Road noise for those staying in the big motorhome/50 amp area is pretty significant, but that is nothing they can control...just be aware that it is not peacefully nestled out in the woods. Very friendly staff!

This was a great place to stay. Get a spot deeper in the campground if don't want to be bothered by the highway noise. Showers and toilets were in working order. You'll need shower shoes for the showers. Staff was friendly and courteous.

Nice park and quiet

We had one of the first sites when you pull in. I picked it because it was by the lake. Very nice site but you do run into hearing/seeing the vehicles coming in and out and also the noise from Hwy 6. The park was clean and the employees were friendly. If we stay here again well look for something a little further in.
@DeanaL9CA29181 · Camped on May 2, 2024 at Campsite #24
The park was very clean and well kept. The sites were spacious and easy to back into. We found the staff helpful and friendly. The only drawback to the park is that it is close to Hwy 6, so there is road noise. But this also means it is easy to get to and it is close in to Waco for other recreation/tourist activities.

Peaceful and relaxing.

Well the squirrels did me in. Chewed holes in 3 water hoses. 1st time in 3 years full timing I had to deal with that issue. One of the gate staff was less than pleasant. Sad that the ACOE have contracted the grass cutting out. The grass/weeds were knee deep right outside of my door. Was told they cut 1x per month!! Thats a bit long. There were also many dead cedar/evergreen trees that were dead so the needles were everywhere!! Bathrooms were not clean and were dark and gloomy.

Excellent, clean and relaxing. All the park hosts were amazing! We had an awesome time.

Park was very quiet for as many people was there. Needed to be mowed grass was tall.
@LeeR4104841 · Camped on Apr 9, 2024 at Campsite #30
Very nice spot. Level, quiet, dark. Hardly any road noise even though we were near a busy highway.
@MichaelO624286 · Camped on Apr 9, 2024 at Campsite #23
Convenient to Waco proper. Lots of trees and shade, and LOTS of road noise.If you are a boater, theres a huge lake and nice launch ramp. Otherwise not much to do in the park itself. We were there for the eclipse. The park had glasses on hand, which was nice.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
