Beautiful park, unfortunately it rained a lot while we were there but we still had a great time. Its near Waco with lots to do including Chip and Joannas Magnolia (Silos) and many great places to eat. The lake was great for fishing, well be back for sure.

The pavilion had plenty of tables, a big BBQ pit. Lake access for fishing. Big enough to make my husbands 50th Birthday get together amazing !!

Nice park, well maintained. Very friendly and helpful staff at entrance gate. The lake was beautiful and it was very windy but we really enjoyed our time there.

Very nice park. Sites are not on top of each other. Easy access and relatively flat spots. Lake looked wonderful, but were not there for that and the mother nature and the wind would have made boating difficult. But who knows maybe one day will try again and bring the boat.

Very quiet park. Sites are spread out very well. The bathrooms were well kept. Thank you to the staff and camp hosts - we had a great stay!

Airport Park is always a nice stay. Its clean and fairly well maintained. Showers are a little run down, but usable.

The restroom facilities need work and to be cleaned more often.
@MelindaP344480 · Camped on Mar 7, 2025 at Campsite #1
The pics of the sites are misleading. The majority of the roofs over the picnic tables, as seen in the site descriptions, are no longer there. The hosts are located outside the gates and and cant seem to maintain control after hours. Did not have a good experience at this location, seems to be a party location. The bathrooms are extremely rundown and need repairs. Close proximity to the Mammoth Site and Magnolia Silos.

The gate attendants were very friendly and helpful. The sites were clean and generally level. Our group of five sites enjoyed the weekend.

Description stated that the sites had sewer. None were visible or found.

Bathrooms and showers where not clean the cleaning person is not cleaning very well at all. I checked on the cleaning right after he left and was Very disappointed. He only used a very worn out brown and a bottle of glass cleaner

We love this park. Sites are well-maintained and park employees are wonderful! Our only negative is that there isnt a gate with a code so that we can enter after 10 pm. We had to leave a Baylor basketball game early to beat our curfew. However, we highly recommend the campground.

We enjoy the park. It's close to home.

We stayed two nights, and loved our stay! The campground was beautiful and very relaxing. The camp hosts were friendly, readily available, and informative. Our site was clean, level, and equipped with a nice picnic table and fire ring. If we ever pass through Waco, TX, we will stop here again!
@RaymondH686158 · Camped on Feb 23, 2025 at Campsite #22
Site sloped a little much for our 43' motorhome, but it was nice enough. Poor bath house, no water pressure and no grab rails, towel hooks or benches, but water was warm, if not hot. Gatekeeper was friendly.

Site #24. Excellent site. Great view of the lake. Site was clean, well maintained, and far enough from the neighbors giving a little hearing privacy. Gate staff were friendly and helpful. Will stay here again if travelling through the area.

Airport Park is a beautiful well maintained campground. The staff upon entrance were friendly and helpful. Places to explore, Cameron Park, the River Walk in Waco with the many wonderful sculptures, Magnolia Place, and Homestead Craft Village. You can bike throughout the campground and along the paths of the Brazo River for exercise.

I have to say coe parks do not over watch everyone. State parks are always coming around in the am leaving site reminders on our vehicles like we don't know we need to go to the office. No harassment. Clean sites. If u need help go up to ranger entrance booth. Very helpful. Love these parks. Will definitely be back.
@SherriO8D79007 · Camped on Feb 4, 2025 at Campsite #14
Site 14 is a nice level site. Long enough to accommodate a class A or 40 ft fifth wheel. Nice view of the lake.
@MikeP3321518 · Camped on Feb 3, 2025 at Campsite #60
Camp site was clean and ready. The camps sites have a lot of room between each other compared to rv parks.

Thanks to all our Supporting Members

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
