Airport Park Campground in McLennan county is located just 16 min northwest of Waco, TX with an elevation of 503 feet. There are a total of 69 campsites including 47 boat sites. The campground is open all year. 47 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 57 and 147 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 47 sites have electric and water hookups. 18 sites have water hookups. Fees range from $16.00 to $150.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, boat ramp, restroom, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, floating sports.

Love that is close to all the hiking trails there at Lovers Leap! Great Location with lots to do or just stay there and enjoy the park itself!

We actually live about 25 minutes from Airport Park and love it as an overnight or weekend getaway. The lakefront spots are simply beautiful, and the park is generally nice and quiet (just the occasional airplane from nearby Waco Regional Airport).

The gate attendant is always very polite and helpful. The campsite was as clean as you could expect minus a gazillion acorns. Nice sunset view.

I stayed 4 days at this beautiful campground. The views were amazing and there were deer everywhere. The lady at the gate was a total doll and gave me weather updates upon my arrival daily. The showers and rest rooms were so clean. The cleanest showers Ive ever used. I will definitely return to this peaceful retret

There was no hot water in the showers. We did tell a camp host, but still did not have hot water. The doors to the showers did not lock to prevent someone walking in while enduring cold water. Also, the shower I first in was clogged and the water was up to my ankles running out of the unlocked door.I usually like Airport Park because of the scenery and the park itself is clean and there is showers to be used by those of us who use the facilities. If the showers doors do not lock, there could be a disaster waiting to happen.

The park had exceptional views everywhere of the lake. Very clean and quiet. Did a bus tour of Chip & Joanna Gaines properties and went to their marketplace. Loved our time there.

I was a little disappointed in the condition/maintenance of the facilities. Last time we were there everything was cleaned. This time, the bathhouse looked only minimally tended.

I always love coming out here and spending time with my family and enjoying the peace, the nature, the water, just everything. The views are beautiful site 7 and 8 are the best sites, but all the other ones are great too.

The campground was beautiful. Our only regret was that we couldn't spend more time there. We were on our way home after a 3 week trip and only spent one night.

Campground is a diamond waiting for some polish. Waco Lake campground has been neglected for a few years. The grass around the sites is always too high and the sites have not been cleaned when you get there. Upon arrival you can count on finding cigarette butts strewn everywhere, bottle caps, etc.. everywhere. At least they could rake the gravel around the tables to get the trash out of the way.

Beautiful park! Restrooms clean and comfortable to use! Only concern - why are there so many empty sites with a Reserved tag on them and no one in them? When we were trying to reserve a spot months ago, there was very little selection!

We love this park. Close enough to town, but still out. Lake was full now(April2024).Would be great of CoE could get - point more funding$ for maintanence as most ALL parks seems to be taken less care of. Thanks JoeB.
