Restroom were nice and clean, but the tent areas need to be maintained.

One night stay and check in hosts were nice and helpful. End of Labor Day weekend so many sites were empty. The bathrooms were very old and had been heavily used. Bathrooms definitely need updating as compared to other COE facilities.

We visit Buckhorn Creek often and enjoy it each time. The park is kept well, and we have never experienced any issues with the staff or anyone.

Nice location with beautiful lake views. Campground bath houses need some updates but are functional.

It was the weekend. It was a lively campground. The sites were very close together and there were many campers. Our site was 113 and it provided a great view of the lake and a beautiful sunset. There are many boaters and a few people fishing. All in all it was a nice stay for the first night of our journey. Park Rangers were really nice.

We were at Buckhorn Creek from May 23 through May 29. The property was very under maintenance. If you will the grass had grown up limbs were in the driveways chickens running around in the park just kind of not satisfactory. We were in site, 108

Always a great place to camp.

The park host was nice, the Ranger very nice; however, the site and park itself were terrible. Our site was in terrible shape. Hadn't been cleaned in forever. The fire pit full of trash and at least 50 cigarette buts. We will not return to this park.
@TAMMYD6624967 · Camped on May 23, 2024 at Campsite #E104
The grass needed mowing desperately so apparently the groundskeeper isnt doing their job.
@CindyH1403151 · Camped on May 23, 2024 at Campsite #E116
May want to take your weed eater. The park was not mowed. Also, take plenty of ant spray/powder. Bathrooms were kept cleaned but I didnt use the showers. I was in site 116, it was fairly level. The afternoon sun was brutal but was manageable after I put up a canopy (shade tent) along with my awning.

Camp in Buckhorn a lot. This time the grass was in bad need of mowing. Even with all the rain there are days that mowing can happen at least around camp sites. Also some of the limbs in the half dead trees need trimming. I was afraid the limbs in 112 could come down in the occasional high winds. Had to move a fallen limb just to get my camper set up.
@JohnP1604489 · Camped on May 21, 2024 at Campsite #E206
Picnic Tables were very, very dirty. Grass was not mowed. About 18" high or higher. Couldn't hardly find my small dogRestrooms had no lights in 3 rooms. Had push buttons missing off controls to flush in some restroomsTrees are not being trim and libs growing to the ground, so you are not even able to mowThere was nobody in section 2 when we got there so that would have been the time to mow. Everyone was very unhappy about the park. I have been coming to these Parks for over 60 years and never seen it like this. Nobody cares anymoreWhat a shame

Campground needs updating. Feels shabby and neglected. Landscaping was poorly done. Grass was not cut in a timely manner and was done carelessly.
@JohnG7676070 · Camped on May 17, 2024 at Campsite #E124
Great place to camp. Clean restrooms and plenty of things to do with kids. They have swimming, kayaking, boating and fishing. Highly recommend this place.

We've gone to buckhorn several times in the past, one underlying theme seems to be unkempness. They need to pay more attention to cleanliness mowing the grass, painting, bathroom walls. Just overall cleanliness.
@RobertL7452920 · Camped on Apr 11, 2024 at Campsite #E111
Stayed 3 nights, nice park, nice rv spots, could use some mowing but overall awesome stay.

Nice mature trees, excellent tent pads, bathrooms were average.

The park staff keeps the facilities nice and clean. This campground is so relaxing, and has beautiful views of the lake.
@MarkO1849333 · Camped on Apr 1, 2024 at Campsite #E124
Was a great experience as always. The camp has installed sewer connections in some of the sites and we camped in one, made a much more pleasurable time.

Jefferson is a fun little town, the animal safari just outside of Jefferson is fun.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
