This is one of our favorite COE parks. The lake is beautiful and quiet. Newer restrooms and showers are on top of the hill nearer the open lake. Very clean park. Just be sure you have what you need before you arrive because theres nothing nearby!

We had a wonderful pull through site and it was very level. The water and electricity worked great. Now to the important part, we were in the RV section 2 and had a wonderful, peaceful view of a finger of the lake. We had deer in the morning and birds fishing on the lake. It is nicely shaded but our site was great because we had shade but didn't cause any struggles to protect our RV from tree branches. The volunteer staff was great and friendly. My only negative is they need maintenance volunteers to keep the sites looking good. They had none and there was no listing for volunteers to sign up. Many of the sites had lots of cigarette butts. RV section 1 has some sites with full hookups but they sites in section one are more tightly set next to each other. On the other hand, the sunsets are great from section 1.

We stayed at Buckhorn Creek on Lake O' Pines for 4 nights last week of October. We had never been here before and were excited to explore the area. The entry sign is small and even with google we passed it and had to turn around and go back. Our site was right on the water and provided beautiful views of the lake and many species of birds. There is a boat ramp, shower houses and plenty of areas to walk our dog. This park has fullhookups and hopefully we can get one of those when we come back next year.

Campground is deteriorating. No camp hosts, hence very little maintenance activity. Holes in campsites need filling, sink plumbing in bathhouse running full time. Grounds havent been mowed in some areas in quite sometime.

We had a very relaxing time at Buckhorn Creek. The sites were clean, and we had a good view of the lake. We didn't use the bathhouse, so we don't know what shape they were in.

Nice quiet park with plenty of shade in section 'R'. Boat ramp seemed pretty nice. We had a good view of the lake from site 139, which I think is the best site in the park, with a wooden deck. Jefferson is a neat little town nearby with tourist shops and a number of interesting things.There is a fairly large area for tent campers also.It's a good place to stay and like most COE parks does not have sewer hookups but does have a dump station. It's a good park and we will go back.

Nice level sites. We had perfect spot on the lake with a great view. Would highly recommend.

Site 124 is at the top of the row, FHU and accommodated our 30 TT & truck easily.The grass was never mowed, and there was a smell of sewer daily.The site itself is up a hill, so you are backing into a narrow site up a hill with a tight turn, just keep that in mind. We had no problem but I can see where some might. The attendant was very friendly as well as other campers, however we will definitely head across the way to Brushy Creek the next time we are in the area. When we walked the grounds we did see that most other areas were better maintained than the little row we were on.

One night stay and check in hosts were nice and helpful. End of Labor Day weekend so many sites were empty. The bathrooms were very old and had been heavily used. Bathrooms definitely need updating as compared to other COE facilities.

We visit Buckhorn Creek often and enjoy it each time. The park is kept well, and we have never experienced any issues with the staff or anyone.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
