Nice campground, site was large enough for the tuck and 24' RV to fit with room to spare., Located waterfront on the lake. Most sites are shaded with electric and water. Dump station located near the entrance.

No shower house. Also way too close to your neighbors. Not typical..

There are 3 separate areas for camping. We have camped in two of the areas. Each was enjoyable. The stays have quiet and peaceful with other campers around. It is a beautiful area.

We were at Sanders during the off-season (late December). We found the roads to have areas of disrepair - broken asphalt, deep ruts along the outsides of the lanes. The only shower/flush toilet facility is near the front gate and is in need of repair and upgrade. The Men's side shower area was 3 stalls with a shared bench and changing area. While all three shower doors had 2 hooks, two of those doors had broken off hooks that had not been replaced rendering them useless. No place to set soap/shampoo. Lights were on a timer and didn't function during the day instead, relying on skylights for lighting. The same could be said of the Women's side of the facility with the addition of a slow drains that cause water to back up on the shower area floor.

This is a very nice park. It appears that most (if not all) of the pads are level and wider than the state parks norm. The area is open and you can see your neighbor but far enough apart where they shouldn't bother you. We did notice a general lack of trash cans in the park but that could be due to the time we are camping (early December).Water pressure was good and pleasant tasting. The lack of signs made it a little more difficult to locate our site but once around we found it with no difficulty. Overall we had a very nice, quiet stay and will be back.

Best campsite ever I camp here all the time

Camping here in the off season, there were only three other campers in the campground. It was very quite. The campground was clean and well kept. The only oddity was the water hydrant was on the opposite side of the site pad from the electric pedicle. My 50' water hose made it a non-issue. We would camp here again.

the spot we picked had a great view of the lake, BUT the fire rings were in bad shape, some of the tables were leaning toward the road. the roads were bubbled up and terrible to drive on. the bathrooms weren't that clean, the tile was broke cracked, the floors were leaning so there was water standing in the corners with no way to get dressed on a dry floor. Sanders Cove used to be a very nice campsite BUT its like they take your money and don't do any repairs on the camp.

This was a beautiful campground right on the lake. With the fall leaves falling sites can be difficult to find. This park was quiet and a great place to stay, would stay here again.

Wish I could say positive things, but like a lot of Army Corp parks this place is poorly managed and not really maintained. Nobody was at the gate house the entire time, and I never saw anyone who appeared to work at the park. Pretty sure there were meth-heads squatting at the park long term because there was no one there to run them off, and it times it felt a bit unsafe. The bathrooms were disgraceful, especially on the C loop, and I have a photo to prove it. Whatever you do, dont try to launch your boat on the ramp on the C loop. The concrete has collapsed underwater and it has the potential to cause series damage to your trailer. Some guys were unable to pull their boats out of the water and had to drive and reload using the ramp on the A loop. Not sure if all of the problems are due to a lack of funding, or just general incompetence from government workers, but it is really sad and disappointing that these parks are not maintained well at all Not just Sanders Cove, but most of the Army Corp parks I have visited in north east TX.

We love the setting at Sanders Cove and booked it specifically to have a pretty tree-covered spot overlooking the lake. The grounds are well maintained and we really enjoy the hiking trails. Unfortunately we were disappointed during this visit as we did not see anyone from the park during our 8-day stay (not even while checking in at the specified time) and due to the campers next to us having fires during a burn ban and leaving their site a mess with trash. Even though we were there during the off season, we expected to be greeted or visited by the camp host and for them to enforce some campground rules with our neighbors. It may not keep us from coming back but definitely took away from the experience as a whole.

When entering the camping area there are two loops. I took the one to the right and got to the exit without finding my spot. I then went back and went to the left at which time I found my spot. It would be very helpful it there was a arrow sign directing you to the spots that on the left and another showing the spots that are on the right loop.

Have camped in Loops A and C; most recently in Loop A, Site A17. All are very nice campgrounds with plenty of shade. Would like to have 50 AMP service.

Our campsite was shady a very nice spot!!!!! All camp hosts were friendly and helpful and kept an eye on everything several times a day!!! We would be very happy to stay here again and we really didnt want to go home. Everyone we had the privilege to camp by were very friendly!!!!The one thing I would tell future campers would be to be sure and bring a portable black tank if you plan on staying awhile. We didnt and thankfully we purchased one at Spencers RV. Other than that, which was our fault, we had an amazing time and made some great friends

There is no signage directing you to Sanders Cove off U.S. Highway 271, so make a left off of 27l onto FM 906. There is a grocery store at this corner. The road leading to the camping area is very rough and patched numerous times.

Great place to camp, fish and have fun in the water. The camp host were very helpful and friendly. We plan on going again, thanks!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
