Campground was nicely mowed and well kept. Appreciated the fact that the campground is locked at night and no one gets in without being noticed by one the 4 camp hosts. Lavonia is a very old campground and could use some updating. The bathroom/bathhouse closest to us was out of service while we were there but was told it would be repaired in the nest few days...after we left. The other bathhouse/bathroom was very clean and showers worked perfectly. Our site was pretty level, no issues with leveling and was long enough for our camper and pickup. We camped at Lavonia in a travel trailer.

Issues with electrical box. Park host very helpful in resolving problem. Facilitated moving to new site. Restrooms were clean.Road and site asphalt need attention.

Worst COE park we have stayed in!

We werent able to connect to the sewer at our campsite. Something mechanical with the parks sewer pump not working. There were other sites that did have sewer available though. The park was not busy, so wish we would have been offered a different site. The dump station was also not working, so we were instructed to drain our tanks at one of the empty sites that did have sewer. Shower house was also not functional, so we had to travel to the other end of the park to use a different shower house. It was just an inconvenience.

Lavinia park is beautiful, the roads are beyond scary. I was afraid that the road would give away while driving on them. The bathrooms are dated but very clean. The camp hostess was a sweetheart and so welcoming.

We were there for an overnight to attend a memorial service. It was hot and my AC was running but when we arrived back at the site, the AC was not functioning properly. I checked my surge/EMS at the post and it was a problem with the electrical service. We shut it off and opened the windows and luckily it had cooled off. This was site #34

The staff was wonderful. The park is clean and orderly. Also very quiet. The guy that cleans the bathrooms does a wonderful job. Pleas pat him on the back for me. Tell him the compliment is from the long haired hippy looking guy. He really enjoyed my compliments, he really does try hard to do a good job.

Had to go get a mower and mow our own spot. The grass was so high and it always is when we stay there.

@MollyOB6C39368 · Camped on Apr 12, 2024 at Campsite #12
The grounds are in desperate need of maintenance. The gate house is not useable as the roof is damaged. The dump station was closed. The sinks in the restroom on loop A do not work. We set up in our reserved spot and there was a water leak about 6 feet from the spigot. There is no phone number to call anyone on duty, so I had to go knock on doors to find someone. We had to disconnect everything and move our 30' trailer to a new spot and by that time, we were setting up in the dark. The next day, they came by and told us they were going to shut off all the water to the whole park for the weekend and we barely had time to clean out our black water tank. We tore down and left. We paid for two nights and only were able to stay one.

The location is beautiful. The camp sites are nice and private, well spaced. I did not stay overnight like planned. The camp host came by after a while and stated the gates to the park close at 10pm and open at 10am. I needed to be on the road sooner so I packed up and left. I would definitely go back and spend several nights there.

It was A very nice campground. Spots were very large with lots of room to play. It should be noted that many of the spots were not level and finding the location proved challenging with no easily accessible address information.
@CalvinH3210DAE · Camped on Apr 5, 2024 at Campsite #3
Parks is very quiet and the views of the lake are pretty nice from the camp site. The park itself is a little run down. The BIG problem for us was the park gate closed at 10 pm and doesnt reopen until 10 am. You can leave anytime but cant enter between those hours. You have to park outside the gate and walk to your site.

We stayed in campsite 7. Camp hosts were great! Bathrooms were excellent! Only issue is the ground was SO muddy. We were slipping a lot, everything covered in mud. Also, since it is next to a lake we got a lot of wind we didnt expect and had to leave a day early because our tents wouldnt stay up at all. Might have been better another day so dont let that deter you, just something to be aware of. The camp was well maintained!

As others have said in their reviews, this park needs some TLC. The lake was beautiful and sunsets stunning. The bathrooms and showers were better than most of the COE campgrounds we have stayed at recently. Showers were clean and hot.

Amazing place, very spread out camping sites. Bathrooms were clean and the manager was extremely nice when doing rounds.

As always making the reservation on line was LONG and difficult Site 29 has a water problem with water running on both sides of the RV. This is a 6 months old problem and should be fixed or at least noted so it isn't used until fixed.

Quiet place with good views. The shower in the restroom is great.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
