Doing the three nights of my stay at Diablo, there were three separate groups who were making noise and music late into the night and early morning. When they rose in the morning at 5:30 AM, they were loud and noisy with no regard for other guests. There was no supervision at the campground and no one to enforce the noise restrictions after 10 PM and before 6 AM. Unless there was better supervision, I would never stay at this campground again, despite its convenient and beautiful location.

Nice a quite. Wish they could bring in a water supply.

The campground was nice and the bathrooms were really clean. There was a lot of wasps though and they loved flying and gathering around the food and people. Site 17 was nice because it was somewhat private. There was nobody to the right but a neighboring site next door. It is directly adjacent to the bathrooms though, so you may smell it on occasion.

Campsite #5 desperately needs a new picnic table. The current picnic table at this site has no legs and needs to be replaced. It is the same table for over 7 years. The daily campsite fee has increased but NOTHING has been done to improve site #5 other than a campfire ring and bear box in 7 years. Other sites have new tables, so please at least put legs on the existing table if it cannot be replaced. Also, please consider putting fly strips in both bathrooms.

Great campground. Nice that creek is running through it. Unfortunately no water, so remember to bring your own. Also, leave your speakers at home. Nobody wants to hear your garbage music at 1am.

Reserved campsite before driving 5 hours for a first come first serve. Once we arrived at our campsite we were greeted by people who “claimed” the site that morning. They says the site didn’t have any reservation sign on it… Having traveled many BLM and national parks. This happens to have the dirtiest bathroom of any campground. Yes, I know, you don’t go camping for the bathroom experience… overall not a great experience with the campground and facilities. Area 10/10

We managed to snag a great spot for FFS, and then a reservation for the remaining days. The campsite was lovely, great weather, plenty to do in the area. The only downside was the bathrooms - while they were clean the flies were out of control (you literally had to lift the lid and wait a minute or two for them to settle down before it was usable).

This was a great camping spot. Beautiful and spacious. Easy to get to. We went to Sand Pond and Packer Lake and they were wonderful. It's close to grocery also.

#14. 100 yards from Parker Creek. Campground is generic, which was fine. 12 minutes asphalt road hike to get to trailhead(s). Good shade. Midweek was quiet (60% capacity), but guessing weekend brought activity.

We stayed at site 5 and absolutely loved it. Sites were spread out. Bear box was there. Plenty of car space for extra cars. No water at the campground (at least when we went) so bring a full reservoir. Also very limited gas stations in the area and no cell signal, so plan accordingly.

The bathrooms need the fan to be fixed there were thousands of flies

The campsite was great! Beautiful and so much to do! It is a crowded campground, so not much privacy and we felt like we were right next to everyone. We also made the mistake of booking a site that was A/B, which would have been fine if w were part of a group. But the lines were blurred between the 2 campsites; our picnic table was on what seemed like their side, and a few of them pitched tents on what seemed like our side. But this was such a minor part of our experience. All in all a great area that we plan to return to, just not the exact same site.

Clean and quiet camp area

This worked out well enough for our group. We would have appreciated a campground map posted on the info board, it would have saved some time looking for our assigned sites. And somehow we missed that this was a dry campground with no drinking water on the premises, but that was probably our fault for not reading the description carefully. The sites themselves and the restroom facilities were fine.
@LeaA124 · Camped on Jul 9, 2021 at Campsite #5
Nice campground. Site #5 was far enough away from the folks running generators and playing music to be pleasant. Pit toilet was full of flies, but someone contributed a fly strip to keep the numbers down.

We had a great time at this campsite. It was close to Packer and Lower Sardine Lakes and Sand Pond. Although the Vaults were basically clean, the flies were annoying. We look forward to returning next year.

Favorite campsite for over 20 years. New toilets and beatboxes this year. It’s starting to get reAl swanky!

Please see my review of August 23 - 26, 2020. I thought I was doing a review for this visit (Aug.30 - Sept 2). But it all still applies.

Great campground, plenty of space, close to amazing activities! We had an awesome time and it was a welcome break from city life.

The pirts potties were filthy the first two days of our dtay and there wad no campground host or manager to help issues that we had with the campsite. Not sure what the campground fee was for.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
