The campground was wonderful. Bathrooms were clean, campsites were easy to set up on.

Stayed in Site #8. It was mid-week and near the end of summer. So not very active during the day or night. Rented a 16' trailer through Airbnb. It was dropped off, so the site worked well as a 'pull-through'. Throughout my two-day stay, I enjoyed the easy access to the river. Didn't need the restroom. The site host never bothered me, but he was present and appeared to be very attentive. The site was perfectquiet, peaceful, and full of solitude. I couldnt have asked for a better spot.

Great campground in the Sierra Nevada.. Stayed at Site 22, in Mid July. No problem with bugs, very nice campsite with a large bear box and fire ring. We just stayed overnight on a pass thru, but this is a great overall location to experience the North Lake Tahoe area. Truckee is a 5-7 minute drive, with great dining and shopping options. Tahoe City is a short drive, as is the Donner Pass area, which is not to be missed. Clean pit toilets a short walk to the river if you want to take a dip.

Very clean and well laid out camp ground. There is even a nice little wading pool at the edge on the river for the little ones. Only negative was the road noise from the highway that could still be heard throughout the campground.

The site was perfect with plenty of room for our 8 person tent and canopy. It was very close to the bathrooms. Short walking distance to the river. Beautiful overall. The road noise becomes white noise and tend to forget youre so close. Only issue we had was the host. Hes not welcoming at all. We didnt even know who he was until we were packing up and he accused us of chopping branches off the trees. He went as far as to report us to the forest ranger. Ludacris! We camp regularly and know better than to mistreat Mother Nature. Shame on the host!

There was a little late night noise but not too bad. Road noise was to be expected as close as the campground is to the highway. Campground was clean and would stay again if in the area.

For site 21 the guide says it is a back in site. It is not, it does have a driveway, but to suitable for an rv or trailer. Putting your rv in that driveway would put your door right next to the adjacent sites parking area, so your door would be about 3 feet from those cars. You have to use the site as a pull-through that you cant pull all the way through because of trees. My trailer is 25 and that would be the max because otherwise you wont be able to unhook/re-hook up your vehicle. The yard of the site is very nice and expansive with river access. If you have a bigger rig, site 19 is better because its one of the half-moon shaped pullout type of sitesit has a very nice yard area as well.

Great campsite. There's a bear box, fire pit and grill at the site. Our site had plenty of room. Near the river, fairly quiet (though you can still hear the highway noise). I had cell service the whole time.

Goose meadows campground was a very convenient place to camp. It was close to many different sightseeing places at Lake Tahoe. The campsite was very clean when we arrived and we had plenty of space for 2 large tents. I give the campground 4.5 stars out of five. I didnt like how close the campsites were together and the noise from the road was hard to ignore. But overall, I would stay here again.

Campsite #12: A good sized campsite compared to some of the others. Had a good amount of tree coverage. There was a nice flat spot to set up a tent. Camp host was super kind and accommodating. We could see him working throughout the day, making sure that everything was in order. Campsites, vault toilets - all were clean and orderly. THANK YOU, THANK YOU! We were right next to the Truckee River. However, the water was moving too quickly for us to really get to play and relax in - it was a good way to just rinse off after a long day. We were pre-warned, by comments, and were prepared for the cars, but it did take 1-2 nights for us to adjust to it. (To be fair, there were more cars before of the July 4th holiday.) Overall, it was really good experience. A good intro to camping because of all the accessibility to resources, should you forget anything. I would definitely come back!

Great campground! Our spot (#1) was very spacious and not too close to the neighbors. The road noise was loud, so it may be better to choose a site farther back. Close to a great bike path along the Truckee River and Lake Tahoe. Bathrooms were clean.

Road noise was terrible. We left one day early.

It was an ok campsite. One small issue was some overhanging trees that we had to deal with when getting in and out of the truck. The worst part of this campground was finding it coming from the north. The sign was located past the first loop entrance. It should have been further north so a driver could see it prior to the first loop. Luckily we had friends that told us the entrance sign was passed our loop and to drive slow in order to see it. Otherwise we would have passed it and had to turn around. Need to move the sign or add another one.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
