The camping site was excellent and was very clean, ready to setup tent. Restrooms and bathhouse were clean and convenient.

The site was level and drained well during rain fall. Access for backing into the site was excellent. Water and electrical hook-ups were well positioned in the site. The only drawback is there was not a shower facility in the loop of campsites we were in which meant we had to travel to another area of the campground to bathe; however there was a toilet facility nearby. We will return to this campground again.

We absolutely loved our first camping trip to Oconee Point Campground. And we will be going back and back again! The campground is great. Bathhouses are super clean. We love it! My only concern is the 10:00pm lock down. I understand not letting people in after 10pm. But not letting them out? We had a friend visiting us and was going to stay with us , But her child at home was not feeling well and she really felt that she needed to leave and check on her. Well, She couldnt get out. And no, it wasnt 911 necessary. But just a mama feeling. I wasnt happy with that.

Site location was excellent, quiet park. My concern was that at night the gate is locked and campers cannot leave or enter after 10 pm. What if there were an emergency? In todays age youd think that they would have keypad access. We were told by the gate man when we checked in that we needed to make sure if we left to be back by 10 pm because the gate gets locked and wed have to park on the side of the road until 7am to get back inside the park. We witnessed an incident where an ambulance came and set off its sirens for 5 mins no one ever came to unlock the gate, finally a car rushed up to the gate. The ambulance then drove away. Dont care how nice the park is if I cant come and go as I please I will never camp there again!

I enjoy this campground, very peaceful and the Attendants are very friendly and helpful. One of my favorite campgrounds.

Even with uncooperative weather, we had a great stay. Grounds are in good condition. Water level was low but clean and warm. No issues with facilities or camp hosts. Neighbors swapped out during our stay but they were all very respectful. After four years in a row of traveling from NY, we'll likely take next year to travel elsewhere but expect to return to Oconee in years to come

Oconee point is the best campground on lake Hartwell owned and operated by the US ARKY CORPS OF ENGINEERS. 57 is in direct sunlight, so if you want all the sun in the world and no shade, this site is PERFECT for you!

The restrooms could use some attention.Didnt go to the bathhouse, but walked into the restroom and walked out. Ended up using our trailer bathroom instead. This is the one around the 22-27 area sites
@TerriS2552296 · Camped on Jun 20, 2024 at Campsite #34
Great campground. There are a few dead pine trees near sites that need to be cut down especially on Site 34 that could come down in a camper during high winds
@WilliamE293173 · Camped on Jun 18, 2024 at Campsite #53
I love this campground we visit every year. However, this year the bathrooms were not that clean. There were brown stains on the wall of the bathroom. I did not report it to the front gate because they are very nice, and I did not want to ruin their day with complaints

This park is one of the best. Quiet and clean. The staff are very friendly. The only negative for us is the boat ramp which is poorly designed especially if you have a larger boat/pontoon. Corp of engineers should consider revamping the ramp area during the closed season.

The first night we got there, we discovered the electric box had a blown fuse. The camp host was able o find us another spot to set up for the night. The next morning he was able to get an electrician out to the camp site and had the electricity fixed by 11. He also took off the cost for the first night's stay. We love this camp ground, all the sites are spacious and most have a great set up on the lake banks!

Great place to camp. Site 55 was good. Had great beach area for kids to wade in to lake and dogs to rest on. with shade. close to bathhouse. Saw plenty of wild life. Quiet in the evenings. Definitely one of our favorite places to camp!

Beautiful well maintained campground and incredible lakeside sites. The volunteers and Park Rangers were friendly and very responsive to our contacts. We have a 39 Super C and there are no access issues. This has become an annual must trip and were looking forward to our next visit.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
