Easy and friendly check in. Spacious sites all on waterfront. Electric and water hookups were excellent. And best of all a bunch of happy campers.

Perfect spot with awesome water views. No shade though so better in cooler weather, but you can't beat those views.

Love this campground. Beautiful location, great sites, good bathhouses & playgrounds. Great access to the lake and close to Hartwell.

Granted, it was the end of the season, but we still got a great feel for the park. The campsites were nicely spaced, the restroom and showers were well designed and clean. The park was very clean, especially considering there had been storms recently which took out multiple trees. The water was very clean and the swimming area very appealing. We would definitely choose this park again if we happen to be back in that area. We love the COE campgrounds. Always a good choice.

Had a nice relaxing week with wonderful weather! Park staff were very friendly. Haven't stayed here in several years because of the tree's being cut down(because of disease)so glad to see tree's growing back! Can't wait to visit again!

Very nice campground in a beautiful location, plenty of space, and we plan on visiting again in the future!! A few takeaways that could be better is the showers, I went early so I never encountered another person but they are small and there are spiders galore, figured they would try and spray for this. Also bring ant spray and put it down prior to putting any of your items down.

This was our first time at this campground and it was the week after the hurricane (we were supposed to camp close to Ashville originally, but obviously that was out of the question). We were pleasantly surprised at how large the campsite was and loved being right on the water. Watching the sun set each night from our campsite over the water was breathtaking, and watching it rise on the other side of the peninsula each morning was beautiful. We went into Anderson and did some "Urban Hiking (Antiquing)" and exploring of the city one day and went for a walk the other day.

Springfield is one of our favorite campgrounds. Our time is usually spent on the water bass fishing during the day and sitting around the campfire during the evening. Be sure to plan for campfires and smores!

Always enjoy Springfield. So nice and clean. Nearby BBQ restaurant is excellent.

Site 20 is a pull through with easy entry and exit. It's a few inches lower on the lake side, so we had to raise that side. We had ants the first morning, but that seems to be fairly common at COE camp sites. Come prepared for that. We had great weather, biking and paddle boarding each day. Hosts are GREAT!

Site was noce and had reasonable amount of shade.

We stayed in site 52, back-in, with water & 30/50 amp hook ups. Loved this site on the lake,stairs at the site to water access. Nice fire square, grill, hook, and a picnic table. Bring ant spray, they are plentiful at this campground. Lots of foliage between this site, to make it private. #52 is directly across the street from a small playground. Mostly level sand and gravel site. Very quiet and dark at night. Dump station is easy to get to when leaving. Many restaurants and stores nearby. The Local, a restaurant literally around the corner, nice for dinner and cocktails.

Great site, beautiful view, but got invaded by ants. Neighbors in 71,72 and 74 also had the same issue.
@Gabrielah9ADA7 · Camped on Jul 5, 2024 at Campsite #58
This site is amazing I love the view, the space for our family to gather, the shade of the trees on the right, and the space of grass to lay on the mat or hammock or just to sit in our chairs enjoying the view, also the beach area to play and swim with no worries about the rocks for our kiddos. I will be coming back in September for another fun weekend! Thank you :) already booked!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
