Stay on site #37 level and shadow in afternoon.

Springfield is one of our favorite campgrounds. Our time is usually spent on the water bass fishing during the day and sitting around the campfire during the evening. Be sure to plan for campfires and smores!

Always enjoy Springfield. So nice and clean. Nearby BBQ restaurant is excellent.

Site 20 is a pull through with easy entry and exit. It's a few inches lower on the lake side, so we had to raise that side. We had ants the first morning, but that seems to be fairly common at COE camp sites. Come prepared for that. We had great weather, biking and paddle boarding each day. Hosts are GREAT!

Site was noce and had reasonable amount of shade.

We stayed in site 52, back-in, with water & 30/50 amp hook ups. Loved this site on the lake,stairs at the site to water access. Nice fire square, grill, hook, and a picnic table. Bring ant spray, they are plentiful at this campground. Lots of foliage between this site, to make it private. #52 is directly across the street from a small playground. Mostly level sand and gravel site. Very quiet and dark at night. Dump station is easy to get to when leaving. Many restaurants and stores nearby. The Local, a restaurant literally around the corner, nice for dinner and cocktails.

The bathrooms were not clean.

Great site, beautiful view, but got invaded by ants. Neighbors in 71,72 and 74 also had the same issue.
@Gabrielah9ADA7 · Camped on Jul 5, 2024 at Campsite #58
This site is amazing I love the view, the space for our family to gather, the shade of the trees on the right, and the space of grass to lay on the mat or hammock or just to sit in our chairs enjoying the view, also the beach area to play and swim with no worries about the rocks for our kiddos. I will be coming back in September for another fun weekend! Thank you :) already booked!

This was a nice getaway location where my wife and I found relaxing. The staff was supportive and helpful when needed. I find the COE locations including Springfield an asset for an affordable stay and I hope that we can continue to keep this service available for future use of ourselves and generations in the future. Life is meant to live and having this COE service is really a plus for promoting a good healthy lifestyle.

The sites were well maintained. Ours was level and had a great view of the lake. No shade but there was a nice breeze off the lake.

Very nice campground

This is a wonderful spot with just enough shade and just enough sun. There are stairs leading from the spot to the water. Steps into the water aren't needed as the ground is level with the water. We have T-Mobile and a smart TV in our trailer. Service was 1 out of 5 stars. The staff is always wonderful and it's always nice to see the same friendly and happy faces year after year.

Springfield is our favorite campground on lake Hartwell. The staff are the friendliest people ever. We have made the best memories there since I was a little girl.

This is our 2nd time in site 6. We love this park and this site. The park is always quiet, and the staff very friendly and helpful. Site 6 is perfect. Privacy is good, beach is great for kayaking, fishing from shore or just plain floating. The site is fairly level, faces west overlooking a pretty cove, and shady except when the sun is setting.
@GeorgeW7407057 · Camped on May 19, 2024 at Campsite #38
Great campground!! We loved our stay and had a great campsite #38. Very friendly staff. The only complaint I have is all the rocks around the shore line they make water access very difficult I know it is necessary to prevent erosion it's just a little annoying.
@DouglasAC3667B · Camped on May 19, 2024 at Campsite #14
Very clean and level site. Having a two way (double) dump station way great. All COE campgrounds should have them.

Wonderful place. Quiet and clean. Nice people running it.
@LauraJ3772642 · Camped on May 17, 2024 at Campsite #22
Site 22 is close to the playground and beach area. It was perfect for our kids. Large site. We will book this site again!
@EvansLE6E58607 · Camped on May 14, 2024 at Campsite #56
Springfield is a very clean, family friendly campground. Camp hosts are extremely nice and helpful always. Bathhouses are always clean. Only disappointment, weekends stay booked from residents that live with a few miles. This makes booking extremely difficult for those that want to camp for over 4 nights.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
