Staff are friendly. Campsites are well maintained and facilities are kept mostly clean for all the foot traffic. Sites are spacious with plenty of room. We are never disappointed. Water is lower compared to usual.

Campground was perfect, my camping trip was a bad one but it wasnt anything bad or that was from the campground , just had a lot of equipment breakdowns, but overall the experience at the campsite or campground was great, thanks

Such a peaceful place to camp! My very first time camping on my own without my parents and this campground made it too easy! Awesome camp ground!

Our site on the lake was perfect with a lot of shade and near the bathhouse. About the bathhousethe ladies shower had such water pressure I could not stand in front of it. It stung painfully and shot water out past the curtain. I then used the handicap one instead. Otherwise our stay was enjoyable.

I have been camping at Coneross for over 20 years. Its always a pleasant experience. The gate attendants are always pleasant. The bathrooms need attention. It has been over 20 years since there have been any renovations on any bathroom. They always look dirty, even after the cleaning crew has cleaned. The lighting in all but the one near campsite 60 is terrible. I know these are just for convenience but its time to clean them up.

The campground was very nice. Our campsite was a backin site and our bay window looked right at the lake. We stayed there for about 5 days towards the end of our trip. The only probelm I had was upon arriving for check-in I was told that since I did not have my Interagency Pass which allowed me to get it at a discount that I would have to pay the full price. I used it to make the reservation and thought that since I had made the reservation that I would no longer need it and tucked it away at home. But no, I ended up having to pay the full price. I have used it at National Forest campgrounds and have had no issue. So, just be warned that it you intend to stay at Army Corps of Engineer Campgrounds remember to bring your physical pass with you. That is the main reason I am not giving a five star review. I would love to get the $80 back that I wasn't expecting to pay, but I doubt that will happen.

5 members of my family had our 5 sites all together and it was a wonderful week. Perfect weather and we hope to do it again before the campground closes.

Sites were clean and spacious. Only negative is that restrooms are dated, but clean.

Site #68 was perfectly nestled in a cove of the lake. We enjoyed our time there ans will definitely be back!

This is the 3rd time we have camped at this park, and we are disappointed that whoever has the maintenance contract for the campground has really let things slip into a sad state.The bathhouses were dirty the whole time we stayed there. It appeared that the toilets and showers were getting somewhat cleaned, but not much else. It looked like the mirrors and walls had not been wiped down since they opened this year. My wife told me that in the women's room someone had swept a big pile of sand and debris into a pile in the middle of the floor and then left it there for everyone to walk through.I guess I should also mention the large piece of moldy rolled up carpet that was left in the back of my campsite that no one could be bothered to haul away.Will this keep us from returning? No. Is the upkeep up to USACE regular standards? No.On the plus side, everyone we encountered working there were pleasant to deal with and welcoming, and the park itself is beautiful. The camp sites are huge and well-spaced, and the lake is inviting.Anyway, I hope someone who actually cares reads this review and tries to do better in the future.

Very well maintained park. The staff was awesome and so helpful and kind. We will be definitely going back to this park. I wished i would have got the ladys name that checked us in. She was amazing

The campground is nice with big sites however it needs a lot of cleanup work. There are dead limbs falling out of trees because they are dead and should have been cleared out. So when a storm comes through youre going to have damage done to your camper. Big limb fell on our camper during storm and ended up costing 11,500.00 to replace roof. One fell 4 foot away from my husband when he was outside a few years back. It would have killed him if it would have struck him. The state parks do so much better at keeping parks cleared out. The underbrush is always cleared out as well as dead limbs.

What a beautiful view. More privacy than most other camp sites.

Nice campground, but most all campsites have ant issues. Lots of poison ivy. There were dead bugs in the bathroom on the first day we arrived, and they didn't get cleaned until day 4.

This was a beautiful spot! To enjoy the sunsets and the water right out your door was very wonderful! I hope to return one day!

We spent the night there at the beginning of our vacation on the way to Nova Scotia. We've always liked the USACoE campgrounds and have spent time at a couple of different ones at Hartwell Lake over the years. The fact that we receive the Federal discount with my senior pass is a bonus!

Beautiful Park! Love the fact that there are trash cans everywhere. Also loved our site and all the fireflies!

This was a single night trip for my friends birthday, there was a dead rotting deer right next to our campsite which made it extremely difficult to have an enjoyable time. We requested the removal of this animal several times with no response or acknowledgement. I would like to request a refund for this stay due to the fact that we had a terrible time because of the lack of maintenance to the grounds. We could smell this animal from the bathhouses hundreds of feet away. I am extremely disappointed.

Park itself is really nice. Lots of boats on the lake and many people are not considerate of swimmers near the shore. Very good lake access from our site. Rules about keeping dogs on leashes not enforced at all. Many dogs came in our site from nearby campers.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
