The Good: Camp Host was a terrific guy. Our site was pretty good and would have hat lots of camp fire wood if not for a burn ban. The bike trail around the lake is fantastic and we enjoyed it a great deal. I can't believe there isn't much said anywhere about the John Dillenbeck trail but it's paved and very scenic.The Bad: Bathrooms have not been maintained and are in disrepair. The bike trail is also not being maintained anymore and God is slowly repossessing it.The Ugly: If you have a big fifth wheel like we do, this is tough to turn around here and even the sites that "DO" work, are a barely. Most sites for big rigs are un level or have trees very close. However, I like it here better than the RV park so will put in more effort and bring my own pruning shears for all the low limbs.

Sites are private with plenty of trees and vegetation. The hiking is great and easily accessible from the campsites.

Site was a little tricky to back into being on a hill, but we managed. Great campground :)

This is a beautiful, peaceful, and rustic coastal setting, away from it all but easy access just off Hwy 101 minutes from Sea Lion Caves and Heceta Lighthouse to the north and Florence to the south.

The site is private and wooded and was in close proximity to places we wanted to explore. This loop was removed enough from 101 that there was absolutely no road noise. We had a great short trip here and would stay here again. Only thing that would be an added bonus were if they were showers.

Well kept campground, nice hosts, clean bathroom. Had some privacy in between sites and no road noise from Loop A

Hands down the best car camping experience I have ever had in Oregon! Everyone at the campground was quiet and our spot (A16) offered plenty of privacy. The bathrooms were clean. A beaver swam by our site during dinner; the Swainson's Thrushes were at full volume during the dawn chorus; Pacific rhododendrons were at peak bloom; the weather was perfect. Nearby trails were fun to explore and there's a lot of great hiking nearby.

Nice campground; well maintained, with nice sites, most with plenty of privacy - you don't feel too close to your neighbors. Very quiet and relaxing, even though we were there over a long (Memorial Day) holiday weekend. The camp hosts were great -- friendly and helpful. Overall a great camping experience. Our only complaint is that the "beach trail" never reaches the beach; you can get to the back side of the dunes, but definitely not the beach. Would be great if the trail did reach the beach; otherwise, it's name (and description) is deceiving.

We were scheduled to stay here on 5/7, but when we showed up the place was swarming with mosquitoes so we didn't stay. Sorry, but I don't want to be eaten alive at camp.

We love camping here. They have great sites and we love walks and meeting other campers. Its a great location. But they have new hosts and the bathrooms were dirty. There was poop on the bathroom door, toilets and floor the whole time we were there. I have never experienced that before there. Luckily I had a bathroom in my trailer.

Nice campground. Most of the sites are pretty private which is nice.

Great campground, the only thing I would recommend is having the camp host more accessible.

Sutton Campground has many sites most are quite nice and many have room for RV and tent(s). Tow car can be parked easily and many accomodatioe multiple autos. Site is only 3-4 miles from serivces such as Fred Meyer .

It was a nice site with little view of other campers.

Liked the campsites, lots of vegetation buffering each from others. The new campground hosts were very helpful, and kept the bathrooms squeaky clean.

The campsite was very private. Had some loud kids right up until 10. Running back and forth on the trail yelling and cussing.

I would like to suggest that on the site, when someone is looking with an RV, you put straight out that there are no water hookups. It only says there is electricity, but, since I have never seen a campground that has only electricity without water, I did not realize it, so we didn't bring any.Also, it is the first time I have seen an electricity charge (which I suppose is just another way other than charging more for an electric site). I also have never seen a lodging tax charged , why is it only you?The general area and sites are nice, very tree-d. There is no access to beach though, which is too bad, also no showers.

Campground was good, but we were unable fill our water tank with the spigot they have there.It was nice that they had a list of where we could dump our RV tank for free.

Nice forested campground with hiking trails within campground. Camp hosts were awesome - very helpful with questions about local things and recommended an RV Mobile Tech. Clean bathrooms, sites were in good shape and roads too. Electric Only but water faucets nearby and accessible to all sites within short walking distance. Very quiet and peaceful. Trail to Sutton Lake and beach too. I would camp here again.

This spot was to keep us over a night before we moved into the group site. The group site was GREAT. Camp hosts took great care of bathrooms and then pretty much left us alone ( they were nice) Not sure why we hire hosts from Washington but the leadership of this state and all its agencies are a real bunch of educated idiots so not that surprising!!!!!
@LindaM3264387 · Camped on Aug 18, 2023 at Campsite #GPC
Great campsite for large groups with dogs as it is very self contained and distanced from others! Open area was super for badminton, horse shoes, corn hole etc We hated the lights in the shelter and on the side of bathrooms....we would have liked a switch control for the external lights. We all wanted darkness for sleeping, but appreciated those same lights before bed!I would have appreciated knowing before I came that there was a sink (though a spigot to fill large cooking pots would be good), lots of tables, and 3 grates for charcoal cooking.Thanks to the camp hosts for being on top of cleaning the bathrooms frequently as we had to share them with other campers outside our group and being there for help when needed! We will come back!!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
