No visible signs of anyone managing. Reserved signs are weeks old. We were there twice, one week apart. Reserved sign was not changed after first visit. The reserved sign showed reservations back 2 weeks. When we returned, the same old reservation was marked. Based on what I saw, no one had touched the reservation signs since before July 7. The mens room was a pig stye. Whoever is responsible for the campground is not doing their job and should be fired.

Our family camping trip is the highlight of our year. Ackerman campground was absolutely beautiful! The sites were large and well maintained and the bathroom was clean. The lady who was on site was incredibly helpful and friendly. The nearby lake, the beautiful views, and the quiet made this a great time. We went at the very beginning of June and it was already very hot during the day and there is little to no cell service which would be the only downsides but having no screen time for a week is not a bad thing. Perfect place for those who love to camp in peace and quiet.

My family has been coming to this campground for decades and this trip was so disappointing. The camp host is not taking care of the grounds anymore. Most of the spaces are overgrown with weeds and tall grass. The bathrooms are not taken care of, none of the broken things have been fixed. Also the cards for the reservable spaces are not updated or removed. Definitely not what it used to be and absolutely not anything like the pictures on this site.

Very nice campground right on Lewiston Lake. Very clean, well maintained, beautiful surroundings, lots of space. A number of large pines died over the last few years and were very recently cut down; was not all cleared away yet. Would have given 5 stars otherwise. (As of June 17, 2023)

Great campground with sites that aren’t too close together. Close to the river and able to walk down a hill about twenty feet to the river to kyack. The water is very cold so no swimming really but very fun to fish and float. It’s a quiet campground.

This place was nice. Was here July 2022 and it was HOT during the day. The water was cold, 47°F at the camp, but warmer as you went downstream, 55°F near Pine Cove Marina. Lots of trout n this area, water was perfect temp. Copper spinner caught them all evening.

We really like this campground, we have been here a few times now. The bathrooms and campsites are clean. Pinecove Marina is a good place to rent a pontoon boat and it’s close by. Bring kayaks: there are spots to drop in the river.

There wasn't really an easy way to get to the water without going through someone else's campsite. Once at the water there wasn't a good flat part to set up chairs/umbrella (I was thinking there would be a walk-up beach-like spot going off the pictures, maps, satellite). Our site was sunny from 7:30am to about 7:00pm, so be careful when choosing a campsite. Luckily we had a canopy. Once at the water, it was ice cold! Definitely not swimmable for the average person and I've done polar plunges/Pacific Ocean in the winter, etc. Fishing was okay, we caught an average-sized trout off of the fishing dock in Pine Cove (~5 minutes South, $10/day for parking). There was a store and gas station that was ~15 minutes South. Yellow Jackets are no joke! They were really only attracted to any meat that we had out. Thankfully they are pretty aware of humans and will go away if you shoo them gently. Nobody got stung/bit, but we had to eat our bacon in the car. Mosquitos almost sent me to the ER. We actually had to leave a night early because I had a reaction to a couple of bites; insane swelling/redness the size of my calf, pain, itching, yellow discharge from the bite. I didn't put any Deet on and that will be the last time I don't. Pine Cove Marina has rentals. We got a pontoon boat and were able to explore the entire lake for around $100 for 4 hours. Bathrooms were pristine, and water running from all faucets throughout the property. Spot: 2/5 Our experience: 2/5 Probably won't be going back here

The campsite was great. Close to water and had decent shade. We had to leave early due to the overwhelmingly aggressive yellow jacket hornets. Probably staying at a hotel with a pool next year.

I love this campground! Right next to the lake. You can start at the top by the dam and float all the way down. It's amazing. The spots are beautiful.

Was just okay. Bathroom was clean but the toilet was broken and never stopped flushing no matter how many times you jiggled the handle. The host/camp manager got our length of stay wrong on our sign. Had a nice view of the lake (which is more like a wide river-strong current) but it was not easily accessible.

Bathrooms didn't have fully working faucets. Many crying babies. Water was freezing cold (good for fish not humans). Not much to do here.

While there little privacy there were very few people camping at the time. Plenty of wildlife to look for and listen too. I would def go back and bring a kayak to explore further

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
