We were at the Minnersville campsite from 6/26-7/3. The large dumpster, was completely full upon our arrival, and for th entire week we were there. The smaller trash cans by the restrooms were also stuffed to capacity. At the height of summer, before a major holiday, the trash should probably be removed every three days. The garbage was overflowing with garbage strewn around by birds and other wildlife. Also, the restrooms really need to be serviced daily. And, it would be helpful if prior to another campers arrival, trash and debris in the campground was collected: With increased rate for basic camping, it is too bad that basic service has to suffer to this degree.

Great campground, large and private with trees. Easy access to the lake. Sites and facilities well-maintained. Had an amazing stay here, highly recommend!

Very nice campground. Feels somewhat remote. Upon returning from our backpacking trip, we were able to walk directly from camp, down to the lake (low, but not gone in 2023) and fall in the water, hiking clothes and all. The water felt great! Campsite #1 isn't optimal because it is heavily illuminated by the bathroom's utility light. Not sure why that light is on, since the utility door is locked at night anyway.

Spot #5 has minimal shade but is mostly shady in the late afternoon to evening. There isn't a lot of flat ground for tents so bring a hard rake to make your own, that's what we did. The bathrooms are very clean and the maintenance man was extremely helpful. The lake is very, very low so getting to it from the camp spot is very tough. You have to go about 2 miles down the road to the marina or the boat ramp area. Do not camp here if you are after lakeside camping, it's not that! If you do, bring mosquito spray. They had a feast on us!

Spot #6 has zero shade until around 7:30 PM. Trees around the space but the only shade option is underneath the picnic table. It's overgrown and has lots of poison oak. My assumption is that no one has used it in a long time which is why it's overgrown. We ended up leaving because the temps were in the high 90's this weekend. If you are here in the fall, it might be a good spot. Summer is a no-go for this spot.

Restroom well kept and clean! Campsites spacious and well kept also. Be careful not to let kids or animals play to close to restrooms due to an abundant amount of poison oak growing near that area.

This Lake is not at all nice when it comes to lakeside relaxing. the water levels are EXTREMELY low and you will need to hike down about 200 yards to reach the water. This is a MUST have boat lake if you want to have any fun at all. Do not Recommend this Lake unless you have a boat!

Our site was spacious and the campground was not very crowded (we were there mid-week and during COVID-19, so that could be why). The bathrooms were clean and our site had decent shade. The lake does not really have good swimming beaches. The descent to the water is steep and then the shoreline is either rocky or muddy and there is no shade. It's really a boating lake, not a swimming lake, and we were bummed about that. If you plan to rent a boat, be sure to make those reservations before coming. The bbq grill over our fire pit could not be lowered close enough to the fire to cook things well, so bring your own grill. We had to drive to get to trailheads and boating opportunities. Overall, the campground was nice and we enjoyed our stay.

We arrived to our campsite, #6, to find out that it was very exposed to the other campsites and had almost no shade. Minersville lake looks like it could be very beautiful, though as the rainfall was low this year, the lake was too. If you are looking for an experience that does not include a lot of motorized boats on the lake, choose another place!

We stay at Minersville every year and love it! It’s close to the lake and although there is no water at the campsite, it is still our favorite place. The sites are big with plenty of parking area and tent spots. They are clean and the bear proof lockers fit tons of food. The bathrooms have running water.

Very nice campground with sites that lead right down to the lake. Also has a spigot for water for drinking and cooking and a bathroom with flush toilets and running water. It can be hard to find a campsite with showers, but the nearby Bushytail campground had great showers we could use. It said coin operated, but was free for use. Would definitely go back

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
