I was there for three days two nights and it was perfect, the camp host kept everything clean and maintained plus he kicked out people who did not have a reservation that were trying to take over a site was already reserved, all the campers were respectful to each other, no loud music or partying till late at night, on Sunday I left at 6am to go hiking and i had left all my stuff out i came back at 1pm and all my stuff was still there, there are campgrounds mainly at lower elevation were you can't do that, i can't wait for next year when this camp ground opens back up

Good organization via the App and good information in the confirmation email and the paper information at the entrance.

We stayed in 16, which was a great spot. Very safe and secure campsite with direct access to the creek. Our host was welcoming and the area was perfect for us.

Party of 4 stayed 8/25-27. Had a great time. Quiet campground, vault bathrooms are clean and water spigots well spaced out. All our food and scented toiletries fit in the bear box. Campground is away from the fire smoke south. Our site #34 wasn't that level, but it worked. We got free firewood from the piles stacked on the sides of Generals Highway.

The camp hosts were extremely nice and the overall atmosphere for the time I spent there, which was really just a night in my car, was good. It was quiet, it was dark, I would camp there again.Next time I want to plan a longer stay so I can really explore the area. I liked how the campground was easy access and easy to find. You couldn't miss it.

Stony Creek is a fantastic campground situation in the middle of the Generals highway, equally close to the northern parts of the park and southern. There is the Stony Creek marker close by for any necessities you might need, and the campground itself is quite beautiful.

We come here every year around the same time and it was just as beautiful as usual. Definitely a place to visit and a site to stay in as long as you dont mind being right next to the bathrooms.

The Stony Creek campground is located in the Sequoia National Forest between Sequoia NP and King's Canyon. It is perfectly situated to see both parks. The drive to the end of King's Canyon from the campground is a little over an hour and the drive to Hospital Rock from our campground was also a little over an hour. We stayed one night in a regular site and two nights in a group site. All the sites are very generous and have room for multiple tents. However, the group site does allow you to park more than one car easily. On the regular site, you will be charged an extra $8 for an extra car. The camp hosts were very nice and the bathrooms with pit toilets were kept well stocked with toilet paper and were cleaned regularly.

Very nice and relaxed spot to camp, we loved it.

Site 18 is likely the largest one on the campground, we had enough room to play soccerball with kids. Close to the creek. The camp host told us a story about vacationing Rudolf the Reindeer, and we saw him wandering around and visiting our site.

Camp hosts were REALLY on top of it! Trash picked up throughout the day. They also took great care of the Restrooms.

A beautiful place, we stayed in the spot number 12, you have to walk a few steps downhill, but totally worth it because it doesnt feel close to the rest of the campers and toilets are super close, also toilets were very clean and there were plenty of toilets. There is also water in a few places. The host was really noce too.

Camping on the creek is the best for kids! Such a beautiful place.

Stoney Creek Campground is our favorite but this year the heat made it very uncomfortable on site 31. Unfortunately we had very little shade. The campground host was a bit difficult as well. On our 1st night there, he pulled up at 10 pm saying it was his 3rd time coming to our site due to the noise when in fact we had just arrived. Other than this, Sequoia has and will continue to be our go to place to camp. It's beauty is amazing.

The host were great, you can buy a pack of wood there for $8 if you need. The space was clean, and quite big. There were no noise at night, only those of a sniffing bear next to my tent which scared the hell out of me, but I put all my food in the bear box and was ok.Around 4 or 5 PM there were a big family with a bunch of kids that wouldn't stop yelling, and going on the woods smacking everything on their way and cutting brunches from the trees. But the hosts weren't there to prevent it and I guess there are people like that everywhere, unfortunately. Overall, it was a great experience. 3 minutes away you have a general store with free wi-fi, which was helpful, though the choice of food is not as big as that in Lodgepole.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
