What a GREAT campground! We were only 3 families - campground was so private - we had the whole place to ourselves. Deer came to visit everyday. Bathrooms were clean and were cleaned daily by the Staff. Lots of prep tables and picnic tables. Huge firepit with plenty of seating. We will be back- this was one of the best campsites we've been to.

Great, secluded area for large groups. We had 5 families and we had a great time. Must see: General Grant, General Sherman, and Moro Rock.

Lots of parking for larger groups. The parking spaces are paved, and about 100 yards from the actual camp site. The site is spread out, with some closer grouped areas and a few that are more by themselves. The central area is open with a sky view. The fire ring has about a dozen benches around it for group gatherings around the fire. There is one double vault-style outhouse. There are lots of bear lockers, two large BBQ grills two water spigots. The site is well worn. There was trash scattered around the site, even in the fire pit; I picked up as much as I could before I left. The tables were very worn, and a few were very dirty with cooking oil stains. The barbecue grills were super dirty. There is a 'cabinet' that appears to be for storing general items, but it had a literal rat's nest in it, so I didn't touch it. The water from the spigots was dirty. No matter how much water was run, it always had flakes of "something" in it. I would not drink it without filtering it. It's ok for washing hands, dishes, etc. The toilets were ok, and about what you would expect from vault toilets. A crew stopped by once during our stay to clean and replenish the facilities. They said HI and were nice, and asked us if we needed anything. The bear lockers were relatively clean inside. We did not encounter any bears during our stay. However, there were mice, which is a health concern. Deer were everywhere, walking right through our camp. They were docile and generally ignored us. Chipmunks were everywhere, and raided our stuff when we weren't looking. I felt like screaming "Aaaaalviiinn!!!" They are fearless, so you need to protect everything, not just food. The general atmosphere was great. Minimal road noise, mostly from people with loud bikes. You can hear campers from other nearby sites because it is super quiet at night. This site is a few hundred yards from a small lodge / market that has a gas station. You wouldn't know it when you are camping, but it is there if you need it.

This place was awesome for Group. I wish they had running water and flushing toilets would be great.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
