Upper Stony Creek Campground, Hartland, CA

Upper Stony Creek Campground is located in the Hume Lake Ranger District of the Sequoia National Forest (1 hr 16 min east of Reedley, CA) with an elevation of 6,445 feet. There are a total of 17 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid May to the end of September. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 30 and 40 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. There is a fee of $32.00 per night.

Ryan is a host with the most. Very accommodating! I was reluctant to write a review. This is a hidden gem, and I don't want it overrun by newbie campers. This is for season campers. It is a very laid-back, respectful Campground without music and partying. This Campground isn't for Partyiers. Let's keep it that way!!

The camp host kept the bathrooms clean and the campsite safe. Fellow campers were pleasant and everyone had a good time plus we even caught some trout!

Loved the creek that runs along the west side of the camp ground. Its was clean and well maintained. This was my first experience camping in a national forest, and I loved it. Its about 35-40 minutes drive to the Giant Tree Museum in Sequoia National Park, but the drive is beautiful and so worth it. The campsites are quite open- you can see your neighbors on both sides- just something to keep in mind. Our camp host was super helpful and kind. There is a gas station just a little past the entrance (if you are coming from Sequoia NP).

First off. I want to give a HUGE shout out to Ryan the camp host for the hard work he puts in to maintaining such a clean campsite! Ryan is very helpful and made mine and my families needs met! If I could give Ryan a higher rate than 5 I would! Restrooms are clean and are constantly cleaned every 2 hours! Aside from that scenery is amazing! My family and I stayed at campsite 15! I did research trying to look at photos of the campsite I picked but was unlucky! Completely went in blind sided, but super happy we did! Enjoy our weekend and will definitely be coming back.

We were in space #4. Everything was clean and the campground was well maintained. We were just a little far from the nearest bathroom but had the water spigot right in front which was great. This spot gets A LOT of sun so make sure to bring a canopy. Only complaint we had was a lot of wasps especially when using water but would go away as soon as it dried up. Ranger was great and having the bear box was also a nice amenity. Zero Cell service.

Great campsite, really nice spot on the creek which is flat rock with nice pools. Only downside is that the hikes in the immediate vicinity aren't too compelling.

This is a really great campsite! The trees around are beautiful, sites are large, the camp host is very attentive and pleasant. We had a wonderful stay! It is convenient to have the general store nearby. As somebody that tent camps, it was nice that most people at this site were also in tents or small vans. Our favorite campsite we've been to so far!
