Lovely Campsite, the spaces were spread out nicely. The camp host was great and it was a great central point for exploring both Sequoia and King Canyon.

Site 1 was big and great. Other sites are less desirable. Signage for the campground as a whole needs to be upgraded. It was difficult to find site#1. I had to ask the camp host for directions. I will return to site 1.

It was really quiet. There were not a lot of people there so I got to really relax and enjoy the forest. Would definitely go again. Cant wait.

Great campground.

The camping location is very well kept. Restrooms are a bit of a walk if your site is further out since it had limited restrooms, but they were kept relatively clean. I noticed some camp sites are much smaller than others. I reserved campsite 1 which I believe was the most spacious campsite. With that being said, I did experience issues with this location. I reserved the camp site 2 months in advance for August 23-25, 2024 (2 nights) and selected site 1 after doing my research and liking what I found online. My partner and I arrived to Sequoia around 6pm due to experiencing heavy traffic and major delays. We drove 6 hours and were tired so we wanted to get to our site asap to set up and relax, but we showed up to a family of 20 with 5 cars at our campsite. The family had set up their equipment since the campsite 1 showed it was open and not reserved. We talked to Penny Host who took partial blame since they failed to update the reservation on site, but the situation was extremely difficult due to our long drive, us being tired, and not having a spot secured. Host Penny helped us get a different spot for the night, but I was bummed since I really wanted my weekend with my partner at campsite 1. Needless to say, it delayed our plans in the park since we had had to move from the other campsite to campsite 1 the next day (my preference since I really wanted site 1). Miss Penney was very helpful throughout the situation, but it could have definitely been avoided had the site been updated the day of. I would caution others to not arrive late after check in, but it was truly out of control due to many traffic delays we experienced. I'm not sure if they receive the reservation list since we also noticed other sites were not up to date

Campsite 31 is awful and we almost left to find dispersed camping somewhere else in the forest when facing the idea of staying there two nights. Luckily, the wonderful camp host Penney helped us to swap for an unreserved site that was high quality and had creek access. Great access to hikes in the Jennie Lakes Wilderness, and nice that you can get water refills at the Stony Creek Resort

Campground sites are scattered over five different locations along a half mile of road. Most are just a dirt or sand site lined out in the forest. Site descriptions aren't very good at present time, but the host said they were working on that. Otherwise, a decent stay. We were there four nights.

Campground was ok, but Toilets were not maintained and ran out of toilet paper

Our initial campsite was somewhat challenging but after the first night the camp host Ms. Penny was very helpful and we found a much better site.

Camp host did an amazing job cleaning site(s) prior to my arrive. Bathrooms were very clean too.

Best-kept secret in Sequoia / Kings Canyon. Lovey and peaceful campground with gorgeous brook flowing directly next to our campsite (29). Extremely clean vault toilet -- kudos to the camp host. Don't forget to bring your own water -- no water at the Big Meadow Campground.

Loved the campsite location. Good amount of shade and leveled campsite to place tent. Just a heads up no running water at this campground. Very clean, quiet, and peaceful! Camp host very helpful and nice as well! Thank You Penney!

We stayed at site 033 and it was the best site in the are, it looked like the rest of the sites were on top of each other, there is enough parking for about 4 cars or 2 full size rv or 2 truck and trailer, the camp host did come and introduce himself my apologies if he reads this but I forgot his name but he did make sure that all trash was picked up from the vacant sites as we took a stroll would definitely book this place again.

Nice spot
@BradC8878086 · Camped on Sep 26, 2023 at Campsite #8B
The spot we reserved would not accommodate our travel trailer because of all the trees in the way. There was no way we were going to back it in to the spot. The campground host found us a different spot that was available and it worked out great.
@MartaP9943877 · Camped on Sep 21, 2023 at Campsite #9B
The camping is totally remote in the forest. It takes some time to get there and its a bit scary late at night. There are only the most simple toilets without running water and showers. The spot is huge, equipped with fireplace with barbecue grid, picnic area and a bear proof box. No cellular reception. Overall we had a good time - its just really far away.

Great campsite, about a 30 minute drive from the giant forest but its a nice drive. Bathrooms were super clean

Great spot, not so close to washroom, could be better if there was a map of all campground, so it will be easier to find your spot

Nice and peaceful, rain at times which made it better. Loved it.

Too expensive. It shouldn't cost this much to reserve a campsite.
@GretaHE827E94A · Camped on Aug 6, 2023 at Campsite #15
We really enjoyed the campground. Site 15 is right by the road and bathroom. FYI.

Dwonsides; No water available, pit toilets, campers and host running generators for 10hrs a day.Upsides: Super quiet once generators stopped. very little traffic and a good quality access road. Great location and good sized sites. (#5 was great)

Schner Campingplatz und ruhige, berwiegend schattige Site. Nur 0,4 Meilen entfernt befindet sich der Einstieg fr die Trails zum Lake Weaver und Lake Jennie. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen.
@SarinaHE2C1E98 · Camped on Jul 30, 2023 at Campsite #5
Beautiful! Super close to the meadows and Big Meadow Trail Head. The stream that runs behind the campsite invites many wildlife like deer (and Bugs so bring bug spray!). The camp host was nice and respectful, he kept the bathroom clean. There's no water so bring a ton we brought 6 gallons for 5 people 2 nights and it lasted. There's also one big trash can for the campsite, so bring your own trash bags to take over there.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
