The camp host was excellent and even gave us advice for getting our heavy trailer into Buena Vista. Nice, quiet location, other than some road noise. We didn't really hear cars overnight, though.

We loved this campground. We had plenty of privacy and a nice sized spot for our 29 foot travel trailer and F-250. Only negative was road noise and it was very dry so lots of fine dust and dirt. No cell service for Verizon but drive a few miles into Ketchum and cell service was fine. Camp host was great and kept bathrooms very clean!

This was conveniently located for our trip through Idaho. Not sure who is supposed to clean the restrooms, but they were not very clean.

We have stayed here a couple of times, and both trips have been fantastic! This campground is conveniently located within 15 minutes of amazing hiking trails, an awesome mountain bike lodge with tons of trails to explore, and the town of Ketchum, so you can stop in for supplies or a bite to eat. We love that the campground has so much access while still maintaining a scenic, private atmosphereits right at the base of beautiful, pine-forested mountains along the banks of the river. It is also right on the way into Sawtooth National Forest, so if youre planning recreation in the park, this campground is a great base. We will definitely be back another time!

We had a wonderful time in North Fork Campground. The host, Jane, was very friendly and made sure everyone was taken care of well. The campground was well-kept and most of the sites were quite private (i.e. couldn't see other campsites). If we are in the neighborhood we will certainly camp there again.

Been to the campground several times and as always, it was well maintained. Bathrooms clean. Pressurized water. No trash. Host was friendly.This was the first year I experienced mosquitoes at the campground. Heard they got flooded in the spring and it caused more mosquitoes than usual. Not a fault of the campground but something to be aware.

This is a beautiful, forested campground on the Big Wood River, and campground manager Jane is an awesome, cheerful, helpful, knowledgeable human being that makes everyone feel welcome. Pros: -Most sites are spacious and far apart. Serendipitously we camped in site 22, the site closest to the river, the past two years. The sound of the river is balm to the soul. Wade in if you like it "refreshing!"-The campground is at the beginning of the 31 km Harriman Trail that runs all the way up to Galena Lodge. - From this central location, you can be in town in Ketchum in 10 minutes for restaurants and shopping, or hike and bike for days in the many gulches and trails nearby.- The pit toilet bathrooms are probably cleaner than your bathroom at home (thanks, Jane!) and smell pleasant!Cons:- No cell phone service - but there is signal across the road down the way from the SNRA headquarters- No hookups for camper/RV (not much of a con though :)Thanks, Jane, U.S. Forest Service, SNRA, Recreation.gov and Blaine County Recreation district!

The camp host is the best. She was proactive in helping us find a camp site.The camp sites are suited for RVs, and not well suited for tents.

My Sis and I stayed here 10th to 13th July. It was a nice quiet campground. The camp host was very friendly and the bathrooms were kept clean. I do however think the vegetation could be cut back at some of the campsites just a little more without damaging the look of nature. Other than that, we had a great time there.

Spot 22 is a great camping spot but too small for a 30 ft fifth wheel. It is close to the river, has a large area that houses a firepit and picnic table and walking distance to many trails.
@NicholasZF2A5C · Camped on Jun 20, 2023 at Campsite #4
The campsites offered really good privacy, compared to most. The camphost told us about a hot springs just up the road where we could not only soak, but also take showers. Given that it was at or below freezing in the nights we were there, it was nice to have that option.

Great spot to access town & bike paths.

Love this campground. Great host and she kept everything ship shape. Unfortunately the wet weather had caused some sites to be unusable but we had spot 23 and it was great. This is our 3 rd visit. Really enjoyed having the Harriman Trail right in camp. We will be back.

One of our new favorite spots!!!! The River put us to sleep every night. Sites are huge and nicely spaced. Campground host was awesome and everything was immaculate!

Beautiful campground! Pros: Plenty of trees Clean sites Clean facilities Easy to find Cons: Site 18 is not a proper double site, cannot fit two trailers side by side. Lots of road noise during day

The camp host was awesome! She's very friendly and helpful. I've never seen outhouses so clean. She was constantly driving around the campground in her golf cart, making sure everyone was in the right place and happy. This campground is close to Ketchum, so you can take advantage of the shopping & fine dining there. Besides seeing local friends, one of our field trips was to raft the Salmon River. We rented high quality inflatable pack rafts from Backwoods Mountain Sports in Ketchum. We put in at Stanley and did a two hour float to Mormon Bend, beating the crowds. We connected with an off-duty raft guide to shuttle our vehicle.

The campground was very clean and the host was great. The only drawback was many of the sites had traffic noise. However I was there on a Monday and was lucky enough to snag a great spot by the creek that was away from the traffic.

Beautiful location, convenient to Ketchum. Quiet and clean.
@JohnS6889697 · Camped on Jul 1, 2022 at Campsite #15
Host was great. When we got there we found the site we reserved was not as big as described for the trailer length. She helped us get another site that was open (the last one) that would fit our trailer. Nice campground, a little noisy from the highway, but not too bad. Location fit with the exploration activities we did.
@CarriB6317213 · Camped on Jun 30, 2022 at Campsite #3
We stayed in #3. Per the map, I would like to have been closer to the water. 21-22 would have been ideal. It was close to the highway and noisier during the day. But at night you could hear the river. It was pretty overgrown so you couldn't see the river. Jane was an amazing camp host. The commode was cleaned daily and she made rounds at least 2 x per day. We loved to be able to do a fire- and did buy the bundles. We would definitely camp there again. It was really nice!

Nice secluded spot with snowshoe hares running through camp. Quiet considering proximity to highway. Camp host was super nice.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
