This was a great free find. There are 17+ dispersed designated sites along FSR 146, each with a fire ring, sites 8a, 8b, 8c even had a pit toilet. I had asked at the ranger station if there was a map labeling all the sites, the answer was no. We camped at Murdock Campground and rode our bikes up 5 miles or so to the end of the road to the trailhead for North Fork Wood River Trail. We checked out all the sites, most were taken and most would be difficult to drag our 5th wheel to, but tenters, jeepers and vans can easily explore these sites. There were some really prime spots, as far as view and privacy were concerned, some not so much. Site 14 was a great spot for our big rig, not from the road, but WOW out the door towards the river. There was also a pull out across from the site where we parked our truck. Lots of privacy, down the trail were two great flat spots for a tent or a lounge chair and an AWEsome view of the river and the mountains. There are 5 spots here on a loop off the main road near the dump station, all big rig friendly. The sites filled nightly, you will be lucky if you can score one. Fishing, hiking, biking, ranger station and dump station all near by. We LOVED it here and spent 5 days enjoying everything the area had to offer.
