We Stayed 3 Nights in September and just loved it.We Drove in from Ketchum ID and bought supplies there. Don't mess around, assume you need to bring everything because its two hours of washboard road back to the store.During our stay, it was very dry so we used FS142 to make a shorter route out to Mackay, ID.No CELL, but take FS142 to the Top of Corral Creek Summit. Take the short FS747 to look out east and you will also get CELL Service.Cabin was very clean, almost everything worked including hot water and stove and propane lights with extra mantels.Furnace would not light and we were worried until we realized the propane lights gave off plenty of heat to warm the place up to 75.Beds were hard, but clean and we put on covers and sheets and warm comforters for the cold night. Never had to use the wood stove.Amazing Dark Skies and fenced area around cabin and larger fence around area kept the cows at a good distance.We made three full meals using all the cookware and stove.Tons of hiking west along Copper Basin Loop Road. Hunters on ATVs were around, but respectful and many trails were horses and people only and we had them to ourselves. Nearby Trails include Goat, Betty and Baptie Lakes via Broad Canyon, Standhope Peak Loop, Big Black Dome and others.Bring a Map or download offline maps so you know the area and know the roads.We cleaned and left it as good or better than we arrived including using the sweeper.One of my favorite USFS Cabin Trips. Will be back.

The best place <3 We've stayed here twice now and everyone in the group has loved it! Super comfortable, so many amenities that it feels downright luxurious. Heck, just having running water and showers in the middle of nowhere feels glamorous. Perfect basecamp for us peakbaggers. 11/10 would recommend!

Probably my best stay ever. The cabin was clean and very well kept. Fall colors at their best. Mountains are magnificent, lots of contrasts. There are so many canyons and streams/lakes to see. There was something to see in any direction

Thank you for providing a great location and such an accommodating facility. Cleaned, stocked with pot and pans, glass etc., such a nice place to use as a home base. Great communication and logicalities. Please thank everyone involved, especially, the crew who cleans and stocks the cabin. Thanks again Dan

One of the best FS cabin we have stayed at. The cabin was clean, all the propane powered appliances worked….and indoor plumbing! We had been informed of non-potable water so we brought our own drinking water, there were also potable water jugs provided by the FS. The cabin was well equipped with cookware, utensils, dishes, and kitchen clean up stuff, plus it was well organized and in place. Beds were comfortable, good storage areas for stuff in each bedroom. The only drawback were the cows mooing under the windows at 5:00a.m. There were lots of cattle when we were there in late July. The waters were lower than normal this year so fishing was not great, caught enough for a dinner but managed to see beaver and moose along a nearby stream so we were not disappointed. Bottom line: good cabin, fishing waters, and wide open spaces. Thanks FS!

A wonderful cabin in a spectacular location. We saw so much wildlife, Elk, Deer, Mountain goat, Antelope with twins, Badger & Coyote. The views from the cabin are breathtaking. We hiked to a high mountain lake (Green Lake) and did some fly fishing. We can't wait to go back. Suggestions to make it even better- the bunk buds were listed on website, as twin size, but they are actually full size, so our bedding did not fit. We have rented many cabins, and this cabin is at the top of our list for being one of the nicest.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
