Even though it rained everytime we did anything we had a wonderful time. we hiked the trail by our campsite and hiked the one up the hill and threw the forest. we saw deer laying down , turkeys and grouse. We also went bike riding too. Scenery is beautiful. Even though we got soaked it was an awesome time. Our experience was GGGRRREEEAAATTT!We also went in town and stopped at that little plaze and store down the road. Bought 2 hand made hats that we LOVE! DEFINEATELY booking more sites next year.It is a beautiful place

Everything was good. What we have previously experienced with a good campground.

Tionesta Recreation Area is one of the nicest COE campgrounds we've stayed in. Have absolutely no complaints. Campground can be full, but the rest rooms are always clean and the campground is quiet. Like the full hook up for al sites. Paved streets make it ideal for bike riding. Sites are roomy and private.

This campground is quiet. We enjoy the Tionesta Indian Festival. The whole experience was great.

The campsite was very nice, a lot of trees and shade perfect for the hot weekend. Its was a perfect weekend get away!

Nice level site with plenty of shade. Good separation from neighbors. Can see the river from the site. Great location for outdoor activities. Not many options for eating out in the area.

Great campground but check out at noon on weekends is too early.

Always a nice time here. Enjoyed hiking, canoeing and fishing in the area. A bit more rowdy in the campground on the weekend compared to past visits.

We had a fantastic week of weather. We took the dogs down to the creek so they could go swimming. People were friendly and it was a lovely trip.

Nice friendly place to camp. Great place to kayak.

This campground is well suited for RV camping. However, if you are tent camping, this is not your place! The sites are very small. Barely enough room for two tents and a vehicle. The facilities were in poor shape. Flooded floors in the shower stalls and the toilet stalls. It looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a season or two. I would recommend Cooks Forest or other campgrounds nearby.

Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the park. It is always kept immaculate. The gal who was weed whacking worked SO HARD and made everything look beautiful! There is so much to do nearby with the golfing and kayaking. The staff is fabulous! One of my absolute favorite places to visit!

Campground needs to be better identified from the main road. Difficult to find for out of town/state visitors.

Site 16 We were there for 9 days. Lost our canopy from an overnite storm. Happens when you camp. We had a great time, Its a very nice campground the bath house closest to us didn't have a shower. Honestly the bath houses at this campground really need updated. Nice shaded campsite except for the constant traffic being by the entrance we didn't mind it. Having a camper near us with _5_ dogs that barked constantly was irritating. This is still our favorite campground and Tionesta is a nice little town. Allegheny national forest is right here also. We go back in 2 weeks for another 8 days.

The campground was clean and really nice. Plenty of shade in several sites. Theres a playground and areas to fish and swim. The showerhouses need updated and cleaned. The showers smelled and had mildew and was extremely dirty and falling apart. The flooring was cracked and chipping. Besides the showerhouse, the campground was great and we would definitely come back!

If barking dogs is your idea of relaxing you have found your paradise. Seems the campground hosts & rangers have no interest in enforcing the rules. We reserved (and payed for) 7 days, left 2 days early, should have left on day 2 and went to Walmart parking lot. It would have been more relaxing. We have two well trained dogs & seen some others in the campground that were also. On the other hand there were many that were not. I would expect this out of a private river rat campground, not a Corp of Engineer park. Good news is we will never be back using a space if anyone needs it for their untrained constantly barking mutt.

We love camping here and was glad to see it was mowed up. You are outside of town but can access it easily by bike or car for any needs or items forgotten.

We like it here! The hosts are friendly, the firewood is reasonably priced, most sites are level.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
