Dwayne was the camp host at Spring Creek and he was the best campground host I ever seen. The campground was immaculate and came around to check on use, even gave us some wood for the fire. He is the best

The camp ground was very clean and easy to access. There are plenty of trees to provide shade and drinkable water available. If you are tent camping some of the sites are difficult because it is set up more for a RV/travel trailer. Our camp site (8) was one of them and it was difficult to get tent stakes in the ground.

This campground is an emerald in a sea of Idaho gold. What an unexpected gem. Only one helpful comment is for better signage to help locate the camp. Camp hosts were very helpful and friendly, camp sites were clean and raked, bathrooms were as fresh as pit toilets can be, hiking trails were somewhat challenging for a couple of retired folks in moderate physical condition. May be difficult for families of very small children but great for families that like to explore woodland nature.

Worth the trip - some sites hard to get in to with trailer

We loved camping here! The campgrounds is quite woody and there’s a fairly easy hiking trail behind the campground. It is a bit of a drive on a dirt road. Lots to explore in the area and our camp host Anita was fantastic!

Remote campground, perfect for getting away. Great hike into the mountains from the campground. Creek is beautiful as it winds downstream. Camp host was extremely helpful and very accommodating! Everything you'd want in a camp host. Bathrooms were clean. We had to cut our trip short due to impending thunderstorms and flash floods but we definitely plan to go back. There was more to explore!

Camp site numbers were changed over the winter and the reservation board at the site was not updated. When we arrived for our week stay there was someone in our RESERVED spot because there was no host to enforce reservations and confusion on which numbered spots were marked. We ended up staying in a walk up spot instead of the RESERVED site we originally needed for a week stay. UPDATE the board so there is no confusion on which sites are reserved and which ones are not.

The hosts really made our stay the best. We originally reserved a very small spot not knowing and they let us move to something more comfortable. Anything we needed, they were right there. Clean as well!!!

This was unquestionably the cleanest, nicest campground we’ve ever been to. The vault toilets were spotless. Our site was freshly raked and clean. After pulling into our site, we were greeted by camp hosts Anita and Mike. They were so friendly and welcoming but also made clear what the rules and expectations were. They were engaging and chatted with us several times during our stay. We will definitely go back because it made for a wonderful camping experience.

My wife and I had Site 13 reserved from 8/20/20 through 8/22/20. Mike and Anita (the camp hosts) welcomed us right away, gave us the lay of the land, asked if we needed any firewood (we didn't), and let us know if we needed anything, to check with them. The campground was very clean, including the toilets. No need to bring water, as the spring water was very tasty and easy to fill anything you may need. Because the road in dead ends 6 miles up at the Sturgill lookout, it was pretty quiet in the campground, especially at night. The trees were ample enough to keep things cool. I would definitely return there! Lastly, I have T-Mobile as a cell provider and was unable to get any service, which was fine, it was nice to unplug!

Site 004 is not set up ideally for tent camping. Picnic table and fire pit are at the site entrance and right next to the parking strips for the adjacent sites. Almost all site occupants were trailers, running generators.

Spotless campground with wonderful hosts! Will definitely make a trip back to this campground ⛺️!

Really nice campground which was surprising because the road to the campground was all dirt. Hosts where really nice and took good care that everyone was comfortable.

Beautiful and tranquil, Spring Creek has to be one of the most peaceful campgrounds we’ve ever been to. The drive to the campsite took a little while, but it was well worth it. Mike and his wife were lovely hosts, very friendly and welcoming. We’d definitely camp at Spring Creek again if we’re ever planning a road trip in the area.

We enjoyed this campground immensely. It was beautiful and well kept. Many trails to hike in the area. The camp hosts were friendly and knowledgeable. Just a note about getting there. A few miles before you reach Spring Creek the road forks. It isn't clearly marked which way Spring Creek is. The sign shows "campgrounds" to the right. Turn right here at the fork. This is Forest Road 09. The campground is clearly marked down the way. Also, there is no cell coverage at the campground but if you hike up Juniper Ridge (the camp hosts will tell you where to pick up the trail) you can get service there- texts and email at least.

Great shade, friendly hosts, and a wonderful family nature trail loop around the campground. The creek running the campground is great for the kids to play and explore too!

Our camp hosts were the best! They welcomed us, accommodated our needs and informed us of sites in the area. Toilets, pads, fire pits, etc. were clean and tidy. Kudos to them and to the USFS for hiring them!

I love this campground! There are a couple double size first come first serve sites at the top of the hill we've used in the past for 15 Cub Scout families for late season camping. Bring water, late season/after Labor Day water may or may not be on. Road is pretty decent, I've seen sedans up here before. Road to the look out requires high clearance and 4WD, it was closed to the public due to COVID this year. The views from the saddle below the peak are great though! This campground is almost exactly 2 hours from Middleton and mostly highway speeds there. I try to get up here at least once a summer. We've camped both the weekend before Memorial Day and the weekend after Labor Day - both times it got below freezing. Campground is fully in the trees, it'll be almost lunch time before you get sun in most of the campsites.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
