the place where you place your payment is a DISGRACE. It's so full of spider webs you can't read it. at Cedar Lake beach the glass covering was about an inch fallen down so the spiders had easy access. Maybe camp hosts could clean it just once a month but it's an embarrassment that Oklahoma looks like this

Cedar Lake is a great campground. Pretty isolated, with 3 very nice camp areas. We really enjoyed the large shaded sites at Shady Lane. The other loops were excellent as well, but I would go back to Shady Lane. The worst I can say about this campground was that the showers were too hot. So that says a lot. We loved the 3-mile hike around the lake. Definitely will go back.

Cedar Lake is far and away the nicest, best maintained COE campground we've ever stayed at! The lake and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful, and the campground is clean, quiet, and very well cared for. We've already booked here again for next year!

We found the campsite after experiencing several dead ends and finally finding a park worker and getting directions. Signage needs improving. The site 27 at sandy beach campground was barely long enough to accommodate my 20 ft Geopro . Others with longer travel trailers had extreme difficulty and were unhappy.We booked 2 nights, stayed 1 and left. The fishing pier was nice and the tiny beach was tidy and accessible.We wont return. The previous 2 nights we spent at Beavers Bend, OK. Nice Nice Nice state park.

Loved the campground although it probably gets pretty noisy on the weekends. If there was cell service with AT&T we would stay longer. Overall good experience.

Although hard to get into our RV spot because it was on an incline, once we were settled, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We fished and caught dinner two nights. We hiked the 3 mile trail around the lake. We explored the area on our motorcycle and especially enjoyed the Talimena scenic drive. It was quiet and peaceful.

Site 27. Gravel pad that kept the site dry. Bathrooms clean. Trail around the lake was beautiful. Poison ivy was rampant be careful. Quiet and camp hosts friendly. Loved it!

It was our 4th stay at Cedar Lake Equestrian Camp. Enjoy it every time. Still haven't cover near enough of the trails. The only thing that would make it better would be sewer hook us or at least a dump station in the camp. We'll be back

Equestrian campFun ride. Very rocky shoes or boots a must. Showers nice and warm. The loops are confusing.

Came for the 2024 eclipse. Campsites were all clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed Group Camp 1 for the weekend. The eclipse bags available at the visitor center were a nice welcoming touch as well. We did not explore much beyond the North Shore campground, but did enjoy the (almost) 3 mile trail around the lake as well as observing the eclipse from the dam. Bathrooms and showers were nearby, convenient, and clean. Convenient to the Talimena Drive as well as several hiking trails in the forest. We did avail ourselves of the drive, but didn't do the trails this time.A beautiful family experience that we highly recommend.

Trails were nice and campground and bathhouse were tidy. Unfortunately, the USFS has opted to allow non-horse people to camp in the equestrian campground. This brings up a host of issues, that I don't believe they've thought through.

Oklahoma's Cedar Lake equestrian campground is one of the best campgrounds for horse people in the tri-state area. Equestrians from many states visit our state due to Cedar Lake equestrian campgrounds and the many horse trails in the Quachita National Forest. We usually make 4 or 5 trips to Cedar Lake equestrian campgrounds every year and have done so for many, many years. We love it there and love the horse trails there.

The most peaceful, scenic, pine-surrounded mountainous campsites in Oklahoma! The camping spots are far enough apart to feel private. Many are close to the water. Theyre kept clean, but be sure to bring shower shoes. They finally have the water warm enough in the showers. The hiking trail around the lake is very beautiful, but youll need a walking stick for the terrain. Weve been coming here almost 50 years and cant get enough. Be sure to dine at Southern Belle in Heavener!

This is a really nice horse camp. There is plenty of room between sites, pens are nice, water and electric is a plus, bathroom/shower house is very nice, clean, and well maintained. The lake is a short hike away and a beautiful 2.9 hike around. People are extremely friendly and helpful.

This is Heaven in Oklahoma . One of the must visit areas for the the evergreen lover. Is well kept and campsites are all via paved access. NO SEWER, but good dump stations and adequate showers. Small fishing lake with a nice sandy beach area. NO LARGE BOATS. Great walking trail.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
