This was our first stay at this campground and we enjoyed it! Very welcoming host. Spot #32 is near the water and close to a very clean bathroom with a nice shower. We were in town for a UofO DUCK Football game and hotel rooms are OUTRAGEOUS $$. Set up our campsite and felt very comfortable leaving and coming back later. The next day we took our E-Bikes out for a 20 mile ride around the Dorena Lake. With the mild weather of the PNW Fall we only wish this campground could be open through the DUCK Football season, and maybe even longer.

I love this campground. I live in Eugene so it's a quick and pleasant getaway.

The camp sights are very spacious. a good distance from your neighbor. The bathroom were very clean and the shower was warm and not crowded. the staff were very helpful and kind. We had a wonderful stay.

The Corp Of Engineers hasn't put a dime into updating this camp ground in the last thirty years. From the roadways to the bathroom and showers everything is very old and in need of updating. Considering how much they charge for group camp sites, you would expect that some of that revenue would be used for renovation.

Great campground space wise. Our site and many around were spacious.Great campground for little kids with bikes and who like to play in shallow water (when we were there the river was low). Close to Dorena lake. Be aware of the no alcohol rule.

Campground was clean as usual. Staff was very friendly. One of our favorite campgrounds in Oregon.

Its a great campground. My only complaint the generators. Should be a time limit.

Great camping experience. Also, only 10 minutes to shopping for essential supplies.

Perfect family campgrounds. We will now continue our annual family camping trip at Schwartz

Not enough bathrooms! Saw men peeing in the bushes instead of walking the long way to a proper bathroom. 2 showers for a huge campground are clearly not enough. No monitoring of constant generators running. Could not have a conversation in our own campsite without yelling at each other to be heard. Would be nice to have no generator hours at all past 4 pm to 8 am. Why go camping if you have to run them?? Volunteers were nice, just not enough of them. Bad enough experience to not ever go back.

Campground was very clean, camp hosts were just so friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed our time there last week. I do have to say though that every group spot was full of large groups of campers enjoying their time and activities and there were incredibly long lines and wait times for restrooms and showers; I feel like when reservations are full with group spots that each hold 100+ campers, bringing in extra bathroom facilities ( Bucks) would be most appreciated by all!!! We had an RV but, with no hook-ups, we were using our facilities very sparingly and had to wait in long lines many times. Overall, we Schwartz Campground!

#67 is listed as 40 foot maximum, but actual max is 31 feet. No overhang available as the cement table is on top of the stopper.Main restroom is in need of remodel.

Very nice roomy park, where they didn't stack you in like cord wood. In 5 years of RV parks both on and off grid this has been the best of all. Will need to plan a revisit someday.

This is a great park with a lot of things to do! We enjoy coming here every year!
@SolH5677950114 · Camped on Jun 20, 2024 at Campsite #22
It is quiet with adequate shade. Although the shower is far, it's not an issue since you can park in front. Additionally, having a restroom nearby is very convenient.
@NicoleB2196888 · Camped on Jun 15, 2024 at Campsite #53
Well maintained wide open campground. Showers were minimal and bathrooms stunk like pee. Campground does have an RV dump and water fill station for campers. The group campsites look great!

A little tight to get into our spot due to the trees but we made it. The campground is nice and we enjoyed our stay. Clean and quiet when the generators were shut down.

Just needed a 1 night stay while traveling south from Salem. The young lady at the check-in kiosk was super nice and helpful. She picked a spot for us the was right on the river with plenty of open space around us. The showers were clean and warm and the entire park is well maintained. Sorry we only had one night to stay.

Friendly and helpful crew at check-in. Beautiful campground. Trees, greenery, many spacious sites, neat and tidy. The dump station was easy to use as we left. Stayed here primarily due to its proximity to the Row River Trail. The intersection with the trail is about 1.5 miles away. It was quite rainy during our stay, and we only rode the upper half of the trail as that was about the only dry window we had. Left a day earlier than originally planned due to the forecast of another soaker.Quite easy to get to from I-5. We'd stay here again as an overnight. We don't feel the need to ride the Row River Trail again.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
