Close to Yakima yet far enough away to cool down and enjoy the forest and river. The campground was well kept and quiet. Sites were nice.

Camp spots 10 & 11 are perfect for a big group. Camp host Steve is great!

Windy Point campground was great. The camp host kept the grounds and bathrooms very clean. Plan to return soon.

Very quiet and next to the river. some road noise at night but the river pretty much drowns that out.

Great stay! My wife and I spent the night there. We had a great time, the campground was clean, our spot was shaded next to the river. Having the sound of the river made for a relaxing night. The campground is aptly named, there was 15 mph winds that night. While we didn't have an problem in our tent, be prepared for possible winds.

Quiet, great camp host, new picnic tables (hopefully stay graffiti free). Experienced most awesome thunder and lightning storm, 3 cells collided.

The site is nice and well kept. However, the water that is available for campers turns yellow after a few hours and it has a strong metal odor. Please, be aware and take your own water to wash dishes or hand washing.

Great area. The water was nice. Camp host was nice. Great Price. No cell service on Verizon. Camp sites were small. Our tent had to be put up in the parking spot. The "potable" water turned brown and tasted like metal. There was a ton of wasps around when we had food, but they weren't aggressive at all. The tables were absurdly large. You actually have to climb on to the benches.

Booked site 9. It’s primarily shady, most of the day. I was concerned there might not be good access to the river, but found there’s even a little beach, very little. Had camped in site 4 the last 3 years. Prefer this one. Oh, and the “waterfall” people have posted about, was more of a trickle. Might be better earlier in the year, but not by July. Still a nice site, more space than I thought it would have.

A small campground with a minimum of comforts, close to Naches but remote enough to make it feel like you're away from it all.

Small campground RIGHT on the river. Sites 9, 10 and 11 are the best for tent camping. Large sites each with their own rive access and little river pools to sit in. Need to watch out for bees, but overall the bugs were not bad. Site was clean with very clean and maintained pit toilets. Highway noise was not bothersome for us, since the river drown out that sound. Sunny and Dave and the nicest camp hosts and the whole grounds are kept up really nicely. Nice green shade and treetop canopy. Good hiking right nearby.

Beautiful spot! Would have loved to camp but after setting up our tent out son got stung 20+ times by wasps or hornets. The campsite (#1) was so small there was no where we could place our tent and not be right next to their nest. There was no one to call (naches ranger station only open Tuesday-thursday). No one answered rec.gov number, tried multiple times.

Great site, good campground hosts! We had water access at our site, so we were able to stay cooler with the 90+ degree weather. We did go up to the lake for a day of swimming and picnics. Very convenient spot for us!

Just wasn't worth our money. Really dry campsite next to a river with shallow spots to play in. Can't use hammocks at this campsite. Glad this wasn't my kids first spot camping or they'd never go again.

Had a fantastic experience over the 4th of July wknd! First off, the camp hosts were absolutely wonderful and helpful people. Truly a joy to interact with them. We started at site 12. Please ignore the silly review from a few weeks ago by the lady who said there wasn't even room for her tent at that site. The truth is, we backed a 16ft camper trailer into that spot and there was STILL room for my SUV and a 4-6 person tent. (She also mentioned the "dirt was too dry", so take her opinions with a grain of salt😂). We moved to site 9 after the first night bc it opened up and had a lovely view of the river and a waterfall. The hosts were very kind about accommodating our request to move, they certainly didn't have to! There was zero traffic noise at site 9....just lovely river sounds. Also, the campground itself was full but very quiet (no rowdy guests) and very clean! We loved our time there and can't wait to head back soon!!

This campsite is on a beutiful river but really just off the freeway by Lee's than 50 yards. I don't recommend for anyone looking for peace but good for those needing a spill over site that requires reservations. Another recreation.gov site that costs way too much, destroying the greatest resource we have in free public spaces by not allowing first come first serve sites to exist in profiting off our desire to experience what we pay taxes for.

Except for the passive aggressive Manager staying in the campgrounds nicest spot, highly recommend this smaller, quite campground on the river

I was at site no. 11 - right next to me was another site where four people in tents camped within five feet of my trailer. They rolled in after 11:00 pm, and were talking in full voice. They got up early and started making noise.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
