Site 17 does not have direct water access. There is good water access by the picnic area and bridge. Site 17 can have some bathroom smells. Some of the adjacent sites have better water access. Also TONS of yellow jackets - bring some candles/torch to keep them away! Great hikes nearby. Clean.

No water and over exposed sites to road. I requested a refund and went to Buck Creek. Much better.

Beautifully maintained campground, cleanest toilets weve seen in a VERY long time. Fantastic scenery, fun wildlife viewing (typical small wildlife mixed in with a few deer and rabbits), and was quiet the whole time we were there. Will definitely be back!

Was a great site, pretty easy access to the river via a short walk. River does not have a lot of beach along it through the campground but it is a great river to cool off in! Camp host was great and the bathrooms clean and stocked.

We had a great time. Nice quiet place. Hopefully they can get the water fixed soon. The camp host was helpful and kept things clean. The only complaint I have is in site description. We had site 16 to start with which is a pull through and 70 feet long. The problem is the turn is too tight for longer trailer, I saw the same thing on a couple of the other pull throughs. It was no problem to back into mine and just something to be aware of.

My spot was too rocky and not the best spot for tent camping.

Friendly host and maintenance workers. Quiet peaceful and teaming with wildlife. River was high this year and cold but the soothing sound of rushing water made it even more beautiful!

By far the worst camp host I have ever ran into. I have never seen anyone so angry at campers and those just looking for open sites. I watched him yell from a distance at people who where allegedly speeding over the home made sign he put up of 5mph. In addition to the speeding he was telling all of us we had to park vehicles in backwards in the event of a fire. I didnt see that anywhere written on this site when making reservation nor in the camp.

Our reserved site #13 was not to our liking - no trees for shade or privacy, no flat area for tent.We spoke with the campsite manager who graciously offered us several other options. We ended up in #3 which was better and since we had no neighbors to one side it felt private.Bathrooms extremely clean and scenery is great.Hiking is difficult to non existent from campgroud.There was a great swimming hole with swing though!

Absolutely loved the tranquility here. Nicely located next to a river

We go here every year, for the last 10 or so. This Spot on the river is the best in the state. Huge camping spot, cool, breezy and lovely trees. Other campers have treated it with respect for the lovely place in nature it is. Vault toilets are clean. Local well water is heavy with iron, but with a Brita pitcher fine for coffee and drinking, and of course for washing dishes right out of the tap. We stayed 5 days and would have stayed more if we had planned for it. Only thing is, the fire pit needs replacing, or the bracket that holds the grill need a new hinge welded on to it. It has been broken for years.

We meant to book at Cedar Springs, but accidentally booked at Soda Springs. We ended up with a sweet spot right next to the river, however. Despite having a little trailer with water, we used the restrooms some and were pleased with how clean and pleasant they were. Our hostess provided some helpful information to help make our time even better.

Beautiful area and most campsites are well spaced. The hosts were especially kind and helpful. Made us feel very welcome. A bonus…we saw a mountain goat up on the rocks on the other side of the campground!

Nice clean or well groomed spots. Easy walk to the Soda Spring and if you go to the right-opposite of the Soda Spring you will see a swing hanging over the river, it’s a good spot also to sit and cool off on a hot day. We took a short drive to the Boulder Cave which was nice. No bats but it was still nice. Pretty much any spot is a nice spot to be near the river. We loved our spot 17.

Nice campground next to the Bumping River. The area across the river has been burned recently and the Soda Springs Trail was largely impassable in Sept 22.

Site 20 is the best site among all of them. You get your own private slow moving creek/ river where the kids can play. You don't have to share with other people. We had the biggest spot too! You could put a big family here and still have plenty of room to have a spot to play soccer or badminton. The only problem is, the trees surrounding the site are burnt. Its trunks are burnt, all it takes to fall is strong wind. Potential to fall on you and your family or tent while you're sleeping. That would be a tragic way to go right? We had a great time otherwise. On our last night, the burn ban started luckily we brought our propane gas fire pit we bought from Costco. I would suggest. That saved us from from the dark. The care taker of the campground was very friendly. The vaulted toilet bathrooms are very clean. Not as smelly. Bathrooms are neat and tidy. Quiet campground. Space between sites is perfectly spaced. Can't hear what the neighbors are talking about. Too bad to see so many trees burnt all over the place. Good experience.

Shout out to camp host, Doug! He was welcoming, helpful, informative and just a cool guy! We stayed in 12 and 13. The sites where well kept. The vaults, super clean. We loved our time there and will return in the future.

Our camp host, (Doug, I think) was amazing. He was very helpful. He kept the bathrooms spic n span. It was very hot while we were there and there was very minimal smell in the bathrooms. There were No Flies in the women's. I was impressed. He drove around checking up on things multiple times a day. We bought firewood from him and he drove it over to our campsite so we didn't have to unhook our truck or carry it. We forgot a WA map and he lent us his without blinking when took a drive to Paradise to see Mt Rainier. His dog is very well behaved and beautiful. Our site, #19, was listed online as handicap site. We got there and it was not. This was ok for us, yet they do need to change it online. Last year's fire damage was only on the other side of the river. The excessive amount of down trees across the river along the trails made it difficult for hiking. Our medium size dog had to be lifted over many of them as they were so big. Hopefully someone will be able to help cut a path through them. We used to go on long hikes there and just couldn't this year. Military jets fly over head once or twice a day. So fun to see how low they get at times. Overall we really enjoyed our time there. Thank you to the camp host again for doing an amazing job. Things to do..play along the river, some sites have river access which is great. There is a nice bridge that crosses the river to a short walk to the Sodas Springs. My husband is a science teacher and believes everyone should see the wonders of the earth like this. Bumping Lake is just up the road. You will need your pass,so make sure you get it from the camp host. There is horse back riding down the road a bit. Call ahead for thier hours. Mt Rainier has lost if hiking. Top of Chinook pass has Tipsoo lake with nice walk around it. Fishing everywhere

Hands down best this campground has been in the past 5 years - the water was on, the bathrooms (ok, pit toilets) were spotless, and the campground host was extremely friendly and available to help anytime.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
