Brilliant as always. Been to Cedar Point a number of times and always enjoy it. Site hosts were very helpful and friendly. Bathroom facilities are clean. Nearby kayaking and walking as well as reasonably safe cycling to Swansboro. Beaufort worth a visit, in particular The Old Burying Ground on Ann St. Cemetery has a rich history going back to the late 17th century. Fort Macon also a great visit. Take the free tour and learn the history of it.

Campground trails super nice, campground clean. Campground close to shopping and beaches, but isolated from noises and traffic. Enjoyed our visit

We had a wonderful time. Our site was private, very quiet and relaxing. Everything we needed for our stay and more. We enjoyed riding our bikes on the trails and was able to see osprey nest. The park manager Robbie, was most helpful and friendly. We have already booked another trip in November and looking forward to going back.

Campground is very clean, well kept and surprisingly spacious. Most sites seemed level. The campground is only about a 12 minute drive from the beach at Emerald Isle and minutes away from a variety of stores and restaurants. The Tidelands National Trail is also very close and quite beautiful. We selected our site online and prepaid so we never saw a host to check in with and just drove to our site and set up. Mid-week the campground was very quiet and maybe 60% full but filled up quickly as the weekend approached. Bugs were not much of a problem but mosquito netting on our awning helped a great deal. The cicadas put on an incredibly loud and entertaining show every evening as the sun was going down. This is a wonderful campground that I'm sure we'll be visiting again soon.

Great little campground. I only wished they had installed water access at each camping site when the facility was built. The shower temps are a little up and down at times but no big deal. Campground hosts do a very good job. Our family certainly enjoy the times we spend there.

Our visit to Cedar Point is always good. We enjoyed walking and kayaking and just visiting with family.As far as the area, I would say you should definitely check out Gaffers Restaurant on Emerald Isle. The food was awesome.

This campground was very pretty, well-kept and the sites were spacious. It was one of the quietest campgrounds we have been to despite the fact that the campground was full! My only critique would be that the bathrooms couldve been cleanerI have seen much worse and only used the bathroom once while out for a walk. Will definitely go back again!

Campground was kept very clean. Saw camp host ride bike around checking everything multiple times a day. Bathhouse was functional and showers were hot. Short walk to hiking trail that was well kept.

Nice little campground just a couple miles from Emerald Isle Beach. Sites are roomy, shady, and well maintained. We had pull-through site 20 which is described in Rec.gov as sharing a picnic table with site 19 but it does not. Sites are electric only but there are water spigots at several points along the CG loop as well as a fill at the dump station. Camp Host Robbie was very friendly and helpful and aware of all activity within the CG. Restrooms are clean. If our travels take us back to the coast of NC we will certainly stay here again.

Shower and bathroom are very clean and good. Good fishing place near camping ground.Although shade and trees are not enough, tent sites are wide and very clean.

This is really a very beautiful park which could use some updates and there are some fun activities to take in.fishing, swimming and hiking are all excellentOne of the things visitors need to be aware of is that ticks, yes ticks, infest the campsites. I know that sounds strange, but Ive been to dozens of parks and this is the first time Ive ever run across ticks in a park. They might consider some insecticide spreading on the campgrounds.

Clean open sites. Clean bath house. Involved Camp Host. I will come back to this campground!
@CharlesS661433 · Camped on May 5, 2024 at Campsite #28
Great site in a great area. Was quiet while we were there but only 50% full. Easy access to potable water you could use to fill your camper as you arrive as there are no water hookups at the site. Also had access to water throughout the campground but was not marked potable.
@Kassandra1412C · Camped on May 5, 2024 at Campsite #3
We loved this campground- spaces werent on top of one another & bathrooms/showers were clean. Wooded sites can be a bit buggy so remember your citronella candles & bug spray! Loved walking the boardwalk trail right down from the campground- hoping to return next spring!
@SteveM7756642 · Camped on May 2, 2024 at Campsite #20
We stayed in site #20. It is the only pull-thru and is quite private and large. It is an electric only site. Friendly camp host. Roads are easy to navigate. Streaming with AT&T can be a bit sluggish but watchable. About an hour from Cape Lookout National Seashore. Plenty of breweries in the area. Convenient to shopping.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
