Owners are very nice, bathrooms are clean and campsites are well kept. You do have to drive a bit to go into the bigger towns for activities, but its worth it to stay here!

As always, the couple running the campground were so amazing and helpful! We were lucky to get site 41 again and its a favorite. We rented a canoe this time which was fun and the sunset was incredible! Clean bathrooms and beautiful surroundings!

We enjoyed our mini vacay at Clearwater Lake Recreation Area. We stayed for 4 nights, and we are absolutely in love with this park! From the time that we checked in to the time that we left, we were extremely happy from the park itself to the campground manager Jerry and his wife Terry along with the campground host, Joe. The park was exceptionally clean and well kept. The shower/bath house was very clean and the showers we warm. The swimming area was white sand beach like and a great place for kids of all ages. They offer canoe, paddleboard, and kayak rentals to explore the lake. The lake is spring fed, and the water is crystal clear. Our campsite was clean and well taken care of. If you havent been to Clearwater Lake even for day use, you should check it out. I cant express how accommodating and helpful the staff is! They really know how to make you feel welcomed!

We had a great time camping at Clearwater Lake Recreational Area. It's a short walk to the water and facilities we're clean. They even have a dishwashing room!

In a dry camping this was good. We were real close to beach so that was very good

What a wonderful vacation! Clearwater Beach is a beautiful. Quaint little lake. It reminds me of my camping res as a youngster when life was simpler. Great well manicured sites and the staff is the A team all the way. Clean and very nice comfort station restrooms and showers nice hot water. Little beach is so quaint with kayaks and canoes for rental. Lake is crystal clear as it is spring fed. And spring water for drinking. Yu its all of that . Many thanks to staff for great care giving of guests. They are a great asset to this Recreational area

This campground is not well suited to large travel trailers. The trees are close to the roads and one in particular near our campsite was nearly impossible to get around. The check in station is also hard to navigate with a trailer. The staff were great and helped us get into a site that would accommodate our trailer. The site was very nice and large with trees. The dump station was also a bit hard to navigate with a large trailer.

It was great until I discovered the camp host at site 33 dumping his sewage into the woods to run down a hill into the lake my family had been swimming in all weekend. Looks like he'd been doing for a white too. He has a nice rut dug to guide right into the lake

We had a very spacious and private site that was great. Campground is in great condition and the hosts were friendly. Not a whole lot of things to do other than canoe/kayak rentals on the small lake, but it makes a great home base for other activities in the forest or a nice place just to chill at camp.

This is a great campground and site 26 is one of the most beautiful sites we have had anywhere. Site are huge and well spread out. If only they had electricity at the sites. The hosts are great and the trails are fantastic, hiking and biking. We would definitely return when in the area again. There are some narrow parts and low branches, so big rigs pay attention.

My family stays here twice a year at least and we absolutely love it. Actually I secretly dont want anyone to know about this place because its one of the few places you can book with lesser notice. The bathrooms here are always clean and hot showers. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The sites are nice, shaded, and private with trees! We love to walk the park multiple times a day with our dogs and see the gorgeous view of the lake! We will be back again and again ! Thank you for having such a beautiful campground!

This campground was nice during the week but got wild on the weekend. My wife and I were "under siege" from the party atmosphere next to us. The music started about noon and continued until quiet hour. What's really upsetting about this is that the two of us were paying the same price as the 8 or so having the party. Charging by the person instead of renting a lot would rectify much of this problem I suspect and would be much fairer since their 3 tents and two vehicles were putting a lot more wear and tear on the campsite, not to mention the bathhouse. Don't really understand why we have to subsidize someone else's party, but that just seems to be how it is in a socialist country.

Terry, Jerry and the crew were excellent and very accommodating. They made every effort to help us have a good experience. The recreation.gov site was not helpful and wouldnt allow us to change campsites online, or with either support help during 2 phone calls. Terry was able to make it happen. She saved my vacation!

The facilities are clean and well maintained. The path around Clearwater Lake is a nice walk. Having the the trailhead for the Florida Trail right by the campground is great.

One of the most beautiful settings of all the eastern N.A. Parks. Waking each day to the call of Sandhill Cranes with morning mists rising from the lake is simply magical. The campground is superbly maintained and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful. Extensive trails enrich the immediate experience and close proximity to kayaking opportunities including nearby Juniper Springs and Alexander Springs make Clearwater a fabulous base for diverse adventures and discoveries.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
