Beautiful area and the campgrounds were fantastic.The vehicle registration is frustrating but its understandable with it being the Summer. Everyone at the spring(employee) are all so helpful and friendly. I've been many times but have never camped.Can't wait to go back!

The weekend was a very good time. The park was clean. The only thing I did not like was the bathrooms where closed.

It was a good trip, a lot of rain though and this site does flood if it pours ! Other than that it was nice. Yellow flies are pretty active may-july so prepare for that during those months. The staff here are amazing. We went kayaking and saw alligators, and otters. At our campsite we saw racoons, cats and a fox . We really enjoyed it. Water is pretty cold but you get use to it. Definitely float out and check out the spring where it comes up it's beautiful.I want to camp here again in the fall months for sure.

Our site was huge! It was a 15 minute walk to the spring head and a 30 second walk to the bathrooms (don't make the same mistake we did and walk to the wrong bathroom). You could occasionally hear road noise when an obnoxiously loud vehicle drove by but it was nothing to keep you awake at night. Our site held 2 small tents with plenty of room and was fairly private. I will definitely be back.

All of the campsites are surrounded by trees and foliage so you get a very private feel. The fire ring at the campsite is spectacular. The spring is cool and beautiful. The day use area is nice and has lots of picinic tables, grills, and shaded areas. The bathhouses were clean and had plenty of room in them. Overall we loved our stay and enjoyed kayaking, snorkling, and floating. Will definitely camp here again. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The Alexander Springs swimming area is beautiful. I was camping there on 3 weekdays following Memorial Day. I only had two issues: first, the signs say "campers are not permitted to park in the day use parking lot; walk to the springs from your campsite." Well, I am not technically "disabled," but I am 72 years old and do not have the energy or mobility to walk that far. There should be some provision for people like me to park near the swimming area.Second, the steps to the swimming area ought to have one more bottom step, because it is really difficult to climb out of the springs onto the first step. Either that, or have a strong person stationed there to give a person a hand up!I appreciated the wagon/trolleys provided to transport a kayak down the boardwalk to the put-in area. (Yes, I am 72 but still kayaking.) I have to say, pushing the trolley back up the hill is hard for one person alone. Again, where is that sturdy helper to give a person a hand? :)My only other issue was that in Loop 1, while I was the ONLY camper for the first 2 days, later on that second day, a large family of adults and children arrived to a nearby campsite and they made loud noise until after midnight, in spite of the fact that quiet hours start at 10 pm. There was no park ranger or phone number to call with a human answering. I did not deem it prudent to walk over here and ask them to be quieter, since I was a woman camping alone and I thought they might be drunk or gun-toters; you never know.Aside from all that, it is a perfectly lovely park and the campsites were great--lots of privacy and trees, clean restrooms (although there was no marking on the "women's" room; I worked it out by process of elimination.)I would definitely camp and swim there again. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay and a great time!This was our 2nd visit, we came the same time last year to celebrate my son's birthday. We rented 4 campsites in LoopB for 2 nights and a pavilion in the day use area for 1 day. The campsites and facilities are clean and well maintained. It's nice that the walking path to the spring has been repaved.We had an issue with another adult visitor whom snatched a mask off my 6year old sons face, as well as taking his tube. I removed him from the situation and another person in my party told staff what happened. I went to find someone to speak to and encountered Jenna who was already in process to locate and diffuse. Her and a few other members were swift to get to the bottom of what happened. I couldn't be more thankful for how quickly and professionally everyone responded. They had the individual removed from the park which made our entire party feel incredibly grateful that safety was a top priority. They also brought him ice cream later in the day, and that treat turned everything around.THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!We will definitely visit again.

Pros: I liked how convenient our site was to the restroom and spring. The spring was nice to enjoy on a hot summer day. Cons: The downside we had was a rowdy group of about 12 people that stayed near our campsite. I learned that quiet times rules are usually not heavily implemented at campsites. Because who would have the time to patrol around all night? There wasnt much we could have done besides asking those folks to keep their volume down. Even then they were talking LOUDLY until 1-2 AM, and then woke us up at 5 AM as well. Really dampened the peaceful nature camping experience here.

Loop C site 40 tent camping. Restrooms could use a little maintenance. Overall great experience, 3 night stay. Paddling (brought our own boards) and snorkeling.

This area has developed so nicely over the years. We last visited about 20 years ago. The facilities are still in good condition but the camping loops have been greatly improved w the paving of the sites. The springs and spring run are still perfect. The staff were very friendly and courteous

Class A motor home width marginal but carefully negotiated, HEIGHT serious problem at several locations (loop C, day use areas).Day use past experience was excellent location to connect toad out of way DON NOT attempt now!

Clean, Quiet, beautiful.

Great family campground, overall clean and friendly staff. With primitive caming only and the springs area closing at 6 pm, it makes the whole area pretty quiet, although we were there during the week and I heard it can get louder on weekends. The springs are in a gorgeous setting surrounded by a large forest with a wide wading area around a deep crevasse.

Kyle, Britney and all staff was very helpful when our food storage got stuck. We were in lot 17, loop B and had a lot of fun camping in a tent as we like. Went into the spring waters for the 1st time and the water was very cold. All good! Thank you! Good family experience. It's the 3rd time we go and it's always great.

Everything was great expect the constant rumble of personal generators from 8 am to 8pm. Kills the camping vibe a little bit.

Loved this campground! It was all beautiful and peaceful and was sad to leave.Verizon had decent service, not perfect but definitely helpful! The staff were really nice. The grounds and bathhouse were great, they just needed to restock the toilet paper a little sooner so bring some back up. There were families and kids riding around with scooters, being kids, which was fun to see. The only complaint which really the campground could just help with their timing is for generators. We got back the second day and an RV moved in the spot across from us and had their generator running for hours which made for a less relaxing night. They can run as long as they want, only quiet hours are 10pm-6am. I wish they weren't allowed in the tent campgrounds as it takes away from the peace and enjoyment of nature, why you're typically there!Another suggestion, would be that they allow campers to still access the springs after they close to the public at 5pm. We were gone all day do other things, would have been nice to still have access with it being light out but the workers told us we were allowed even in the parking lots grassy area when we were trying to escape the generator noise to relax in quiet.

Very nice park, however the concessionaire sure rips the public off on entrance fees.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
