We stayed at site #6, and I saw a couples reviews of the bathroom smelling bad near this site, but we didnt have any issues at all. The site was right next to the creek and you could hear the water which is super relaxing especially when we were going to bed. The Ramona Falls trail is nearby and is a must if youre staying at this campground(had to drive to trailhead). However, the fee station was out and theres no service to scan the QR code to get the pass online (not sure why thats even offered) so you have to buy the pass ahead of time. Will definitely stay here again.

This is second year I stayed at lost creek and used the cg as my base camp to hike Mt Hood on both sides of Sandy River. Downside is I hike Ramona Falls trail every day - but I get to stop at falls if I want - nice pay back. The cg is small and some tent sites lack privicy if thats what you want. The nature trail feels tired tho is peaceful. Best part after base camp to hike Hood - its DARK! The only lights are yours so on clear summer nights WOW. the creek is also always in background - pick a site close to creek

Nice campground in a scenic area. Compared to my visit three years ago, many of the trees damaged and blown down in an ice storm are gone but some debris is left. Primitive facilities are as one expects with vault toilets and kept clean and in repair. Local hiking available varies from flat, easy trails to more strenuous adventures.

Small campground with lots of shade, very cold creek runs next to campground. There's an old school water pump that comes out a bit yellow but we didn't get sick. Fair hike to ramona falls from the campground but it's so amazing. Road to the trailhead is potholed, I wouldn't take our rv to the trailhead. No views from the xampground

Great camping spot. There's a short trail with scenic views of Lost Creek. Clean outhouses (but no toilet paper for the first night). Don't rely on the water for drinking. The pump produces yellowish water with an iron taste. Sites are fairly large and there are two wonderful hikes nearby: Burnt Lake (you can walk to the trailhead) and Ramona Falls. I recommend this campground.

Campground was OK with various trails nearby. The roads around it were a nightmare with dangerous potholes everywhere.

easy access to hiking via Romana Fall th and best smelling privy ever ... for hiking west side of Mt Hood car camping - a good choice to check out.

sure 6 is kinda close to a bathroom so we got some gross whiffs occasionally when the wind picked up. far enough away from other sites for privacy. a small trail does go behind the site but its not that popular so it wasnt an issues. this site seemed like one of the more private ones in the campground

Very well kept campground. Clean vault toilets. Creek and trail throughout the campground. Really great experience.

Nice, quiet, not to many bugs.

The Lost Creek campground, located near the trailheads for Ramona Falls and Burnt Lake, is situated in a forest of tall evergreens with 10 spacious campsites and 5 walk in campsites. There's also a large day use area with picnic tables and fire pits near the creek. We stayed in campsite #3 for three nights so we could do some hiking on Mount Hood. The campsites on the perimeter are more private than the sites in the middle. Our campsite was excellent except for one thing: depending on the direction of the wind, smells from the vault toilet were prevalent in our camp kitchen. This mainly happened at breakfast, so we moved our cooking to be closer to our tent in the mornings. If the smell wasn't there, this campsite would be perfect. But the smell is there... so I'd recommend sites 10, 2, 6, 7 and 8 instead. The sites in the middle (surrounded by the campground road) are closer together with less privacy, and two of them have large wooden platforms for tents but no way to use stakes. Everything is well kept by the friendly camp host.

Just stayed at this great campground for two nights. It was a really pretty spot and well maintained. We stayed in site #6, which had the river below. The campground host, Jerry, was very helpful and even kindly gave us a small can of propane for our stove. I highly recommend this campground.

We really enjoyed this small campground. We got there around 8:30 pm and a guy next to us asked if he could help with anything, it was very sweet. The bathrooms are super clean, nice toilet paper, and even spray! Super close to Ramona Falls and pretty close to other hikes. If you go to Ramona Falls just beware you need a northwest forest pass for parking. If you go fairly early it's a lot better. By the time we were coming out around 1pm the parking lot was full and tons of people. Campground was great, can't wait to go back!

No AT&T cell service. Low key campground with nice trail, water. Relatively quiet. Trailhead about 2 miles up the road was great!

The site was pretty clean, quiet and well maintained. A little nature trail right in the campground. This site backs against the creek and it was lovely

The resort itself is amazing. The staff are on their A-game. They are present and make it well know, makes the resort feel safe. Once 10pm rolled around the campground goes quiet due to staff enforcing the quiet hours, which is well appreciated. The toilets were generally fairly clean and stocked. The sites themselves are very well taken care of. The spots for tents are kept flat, fire pits kept clean and the parking is ample. Our only, and major complaint, is the excessive music being blasted by the lake. We have been coming here for years as an annual family trip and it just gets worse every year. The biggest reason we love going to this resort specifically is that you are forced to disconnect from the electronic/wifi world. It is meant to let you really enjoy nature and take in the beauty without distractions from the noisy city life. However, there were day use sites that had families blasting their music on full volume. And I mean full volume. We'd take the SUP boards on the lake and it just echoed all around us. Then someone thought it'd be a great idea to bring their speakers on the water and blast full volume on there. You couldn't get away from it, it was awful. It completely ruined our weekend. No one wants to be disturbed by excessive noise heard from across the lake and all around you. Please stop. It's rude and disrespectful. Enjoy your company and celebrations within your site without disrupting others visiting the resort.

This is a nice quiet campground but be aware of a few issues. The water pump puts out water of questionable quality - tasted like a mouth full of bloody pennies. Definitely some rust floating around so we ended up filtering water from the creek, much tastier. Also, the campsite (007) had lots of mice - poop on the table each morning and going through the car every night. After they left a chewed hole in one bag in the car, we moved all the food into a big storage tub but they still explored the car each night. Camp host and his dog were nice and vault toilets kept clean.

Campsite was great! Extremely secluded, and somewhat challenging to get to, but excellent.
@KRISTENM447078 · Camped on Jun 24, 2022 at Campsite #B3
Great stay, extremely clean facilities and nice host. We finally did the Ramona Falls hike and walked to the trailhead from our site, it only took about 15 minutes. First time staying at site B3, lots of other campers and day use visitors walked through our camp from the river trail to get back to their site or car which was a little odd. Accidentally left out my dog's food bag on the 2nd night and it was swiped by a critter - we found the empty bag the next morning.

We were at B-03 which has the most privacy but is the farthest walk from the parking area. Firewood is on sale for $7 but it may be wet so I would advise purchasing wood in Government Camp. Jerry, the camp host, was really friendly and very helpful.The vault toilets were clean. FYI - The walk in site numbers have been swapped to counter clockwise so they no longer match up with the campground map. B-01 starts where B-05 is on the map and it goes counterclockwise.

The bathrooms were kept super clean, the campsites were nicely spaced apart for privacy, the camp host was helpful and friendly and the setting with the creek right next to us was simply breathtaking!!

Such an awesome campground with a little nature trail nearby. It is very quiet and the camp spots are big with huge beautiful trees. Bring your own water though, the water from the pump is really GROSS tasting.
@AdriannaL808 · Camped on Jul 8, 2021 at Campsite #5
Meh. It's a good location for proximity to the park, lake, and many other hiking trails, but there is poor privacy between sites and it is HOT. It's fine, but I wouldn't spend an extended amount of time here.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
