I really enjoyed our stay there. I love that the sites around ours were staggered so everyone could enjoy a lake view from their fire ring. I would give it 5 stars but I have small dogs and we ran into grass burrs in the grassy areas anround our site and on the crest of the hill above the swim beach. Those were very painful for my dogs and myself as I had to remove the burrs from their feet. Otherwise, the park was clean, very well kept. The bath houses were clean and tidy. Park hosts were really friendly too. That made for an enjoyable stay once we kept the dog walking to the gravel campsite and paved road areas.

The site is on beautiful lake Pomme DeTerre awesome location. Only thing is the infrastructure is in poor repair, railings are rotting steps are dangerous , showers and rest rooms need upgrades. This is not the only federal site that is suffering they all need attention ! Our tax dollars need directed towards our parks!

Been camping here since 2004. It seams to be drastically going down hill. Sites aren't maintained well. Bathrooms need updated. It was very nice in 2004 when we started camping here. Not so much now. Camp host is very good. Campers for the most part are respectful. Need to bring back the cans at each site for disgusting cigarette butts.

Site 22 is a PULL IN site. If you back in, the picnic table is on the drivers side and power and water hook ups are almost at the road. Great spot for our 32 foot class C. Only needed to bring the front passenger side up an inch to level. Lots of room for toad, and there is a single parking spot to the right for larger vehicle. While we were there people parked there to fish. Great views of the lake and easy walk to fishing along the shore. Nice shade but mid afternoon the table is in the sun for about an hour. Nice playground but no swing on this side. Nice clean shower house. Smaller than Damsite to the east, 2 shower 2 toilets (mens) but newer and a lot bigger stalls.

Site 70. Level site. Late afternoon shade. Close swim beach and restroom. Hook-ups worked as should. Nice and quiet during week but, weekends get busy

We really like this campground and this particular site. The lake was up when we were there. So, it was almost like camping on the shore. The grandkids got to enjoy fishing without having to walk too far.

Stayed at Wheatland Park, always have a nice weekend, very nice park. FYI, we get good Verizon Cell signal, but very limited T-Mobile, hope this helps.

Site was nice and grounds were clean, not a bad place to camp if you do not like to get into the water. The sites are very relaxing and quiet.

Too many dogs were running loose. Neighbor next to us let their dog run loose all weekend another one on the beach loose, which then ran all through the campground. We have a dog and always keep her tied up. Everyone should have to follow the rules.

This was a wonderful park. Our spot was perfect. After walking around I know which spot to look for next time. Only suggestion is having wood for sale right at park. Sad to say the stores around I feel were a little high price for the amount you get.

Had a good spot. Weather turned bad and we only stayed one night of 3 reserved.

Nice to have water and electric at each campsite. It was odd that only one of the 2 campgrounds had a Dump Station. Campground has established trees (so nice shade in most areas), layout of campground is unique adding to the park's appeal. Swim access to lake is available at most of the lake's campgrounds. Some have quite a distance to walk to beach area, where one or two have parking areas right at the beach. The campground was clear of debris, though there were spiderwebs in the shower house restrooms. The toilets are really low to the ground for those with bad knees and campers need to take their own hand soap/sanitizer to restroom. The handicap restroom is much more accommodating. All-in-all, a nice place to vacation.

Very nice campground. Sites were clean, although some are pretty close together. Showers were clean and spacious.

First time staying here. Great first impression! Clean facilities and nice to be able see the lake from the camp site. Only wish they had a couple of more toilet and shower stalls.

We always love coming to wheatland Park! We have our favorite spots across from the playground and an excellent path down to the water. It's our favorite site!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
