Lightfoot Landing Campground, Flemington, MO

Lightfoot Landing Campground in Polk county is located 1 hr 4 min north of Springfield, MO with an elevation of 892 feet. There are a total of 38 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid April to the end of September. 37 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 30 and 45 feet. All sites are currently reservable. 29 sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $14.00 to $30.00.

The campsites, restrooms and shower were clean. John, the camp host, whom we got to know over the past years is excellent. The area is quiet, the sites are level and easy to back onto with plenty of shade.

The bathrooms were not working first few days of week. Really inconvenient and its about time they get updated. This has happend more than once when we have camped here. Othewise we love light foot landing our families have been coming for close to 50 years

Bathrooms and showers are very dirty trash all over the ground attendant was very rude people not pull off there sites when it was time to move.

The 30 amp plug didnt work but we were able to borrow a 50 to 30 amp converter from the host booth to get through the weekend.

Lightfoot Landing is a beautiful campground with great lake views and no overcrowding. It is nice and quiet with great access to drop your kayak in and fish away. The shower house is a bit of a distance from the sites.

Was on site 29 the site was clean ,the park, Also Had some updates on the boat .ramp area. Park host very friendly. Over all only complaint. Camper not cleaning up after there dogs

The park and weather was beautiful. However, my experience was poor because I failed to rescue a drowning man right by my camp site. He left a wife and two young girls. It was very sad. I wish I could have done more. I do not fault anyone. I believe he had a heart attack while swimming and he was not wearing a life vest.
