Damsite Campground, Hermitage, MO

Damsite Campground in Hickory county is located 1 hr 12 min north of Springfield, MO with an elevation of 921 feet. There are a total of 96 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid April to the end of September. 95 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 25 and 45 feet. All sites are currently reservable. 80 sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $14.00 to $22.00.

Spotlight in spot 49 needs to go, it completely took away the whole camping experience with a spotlight in your whole yard and in your face, felt like we were under a spotlight!!!

Love our campsite. Great view of lake. Quiet. Private. Close to bath house. If you are looking for quiet place to unwind Pomme De Terre lake is the place.

The weeds are terrible around the Waterfront it's pretty bad when you actually witness somebody taking their weed eater and making a spot just so they can get back and forth from their boat ...that needs mowed down!!!!

Sites have fantastic water views and both electric and water at each site. Our site was reasonably level. We had a good amount of shade with plenty of space for our slide. Easy access to public restrooms, trash, and dump station as well as a playground. This area is far removed from busy tourist spots, but there are gas stations and grocery stores within an easy drive. Only a few restaurants nearby so come prepared to cook your own meals. Lots of fishing, hiking, and water activities available.

This was our first time to Damsite this year, was surprised to see that Mike and Barb werent the hosts this year. Met the new hosts Gary and Mary Kitzmiller. They did a great job. Didnt care for the diesel Kabota that Gary drove, a little noisy, but then again he cant sneak up on you. We were on site #62. In the corner at the back of the site was a pile of leaves, wish you would have someone clean that corner out. We are coming back in July to the same site and hope that you or Mother Nature takes care of the problem. All in all, this park is our favorite of all the campgrounds in Missouri. Keep up the good work and cant wait to come back.

Absolutely loved it here. There is a swimming beach but there is access to the water. Clean bathrooms, clean campsite, very friendly staff and neighbors!! Our new favorite!

Was very impressed with campground, very clean from park grounds to restrooms. Rooftop antenna brought in about 11channels. Would highly recommend loved being right on water with site

Beautiful campground with views of the lake. Easy day trips to Lake of the Ozarks and Springfield, Missouri. One thing to be aware of is the campsite and driveway lengths indicated on recreation.gov arent accurate. Most sites are much longer than indicated. Weve reported the discrepancy to the Project Office and they hope to have this corrected as soon as possible. You can check with the camp host to verify you can fit. We were in site 12 that is stated as 30, but we had room for our 42 fifth wheel, tow vehicle and passenger car. We used Google Earth to estimate the actual length and it was well over 65.

Beautiful campground, well kept up, the custodian/host was super friendly. I especially liked the fact that the bathrooms were well maintained. We will definitely be taking another trip soon.
