HATE recreation.gov. Would have chosen a different site if given the opportunity to see in person. Pictures on site lie.

Great area and quiet. Only problem was just before sunset, the Millions of mosquitos that started coming out was insane. I have never seen so many at once. It looked like a fog bank shimmering as you look up through the park they were so bad. I ended up leaving that night because of it. I had citronella burners and sprayed the tent with mosquito repellant but did not work. Park systems really need to think about spraying to mitigate the hoards of mosquitos due to potential health hazard. I will go back but it will be in the fall when its colder and less chance of mosquito invasion.

Enjoyed the Campground. Grass was tall at first, but after 6 days they mowed.

Grass was not mowed and in some places it was over a foot tall. Ran over 2 copperheads near campsite. Would be easier to watch for snakes if grass was better maintained. Volunteers were really nice.

Ruark Bluff East is one of our favorite places to camp. It is on the water, so we went swimming and fishing a lot. It is a beautiful park. The new campsites were a great addition. Our only complaint, was the showers were not as clean as they have been in the past and the grass was a little too high. Other than that it was great. We have already booked our next trip.

Everything there was excellent but it was needing a mowing something fierce. One guest brought a mower and mowed his campsite himself. If that wasnt bad enough, on Monday morning they came to mow and were mowing around my campsite while I was packing up and all the empty sites still needing mowed.

Speed bumps need to be installed in the roads by water!! A child is going to get run over! Seen several people speeding through there right as children were crossing to go to water

We like the new sites on B loop very much. One thing needed for that loop is a sidewalk from it to the shower house, as anyone in a wheel chair or a scooter, have to go around on the road to the intersection where the shower house is. It is a lot of extra work for someone who is handicapped. They could easily put in a sidewalk from the new B loop to the mens and to the womens bathroom. The shower house could use some work, as the walls are full of mold, and it is so hot in there in the summer it almost does no good to take a shower.

Krista at the front entrance was an excellent host and really went out of her way for my family and I. We will be returning

Beautiful lake, nice vault toilets with potable water for drinking and washing. Hot showers. Lots of big game fish jumping. Plenty of firewood in the surrounding woods. Campfround sites are very nice, nit on top of other campers unless you get into the A-33 peninsula. Nearby marina is excellent. Sand beach nice to visit .

Some of the roads were covered with small branches from trees,some the picnic benches where broken and the wood on them was rotten. Not very many bathrooms.

Needs to be mowed more often. Grass was very high. Bathrooms were not very clean. Should have the dump station with the holes to dump at both in the middle. The one that is on the est side (closest to the bathrooms) does not ever get used. It makes it very inconventant to use. There is always a line of trailers waiting to use the middle hole.

Host volunteers we're unfriendly when cleaning the restrooms. It would also be nice to have exhaust fans on restrooms the heat was almost unbearable.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
