Hawker Point is near and dear to our family! We are so grateful for Bev and Dan! You are always met with a smile, upon arrival, and guaranteed a CLEAN, PLEASANT and SAFE camping experience! It is nice to see new showers and really enjoy the great pressure at the old showers!!

The campsite was well maintained, close to the water and provided the perfect amount of shade. Most importantly; after a full day outside in the sun and heat, the new shower houses were a perfect upgrade for us campers (and long overdue!).

If it wasnt for the campground hosts this would have been a five star trip. We showed up a few hours before check in, there was no one at the campsite so we began to set up. The park host then pulled up and told us we couldnt park there without a reservation, I confirmed we had a reservation and pulled it up on my phone. He then told us we couldnt set up until check in time. We apologized and told him that everywhere else weve been had allowed us to set up early if there was no one at the campsite. He then told us were not them and told us to pack up and come back in two hours. We offered to pay to come in early they refused and told us that if we wanted to come in even an hour earlier we would have to make a reservation for the whole day before that. The campsite itself was beautiful and we loved swimming right off the campsite but being forced to pack up and wait 2 hours just to comeback to check in was a huge stain on our trip.

This site was absolutely beautiful! The lake water is crystal clear and campgrounds were clean and well maintained. The sites are also pretty level. Unfortunately, the sites are extremely small and close together. When the person next door to you rolls over in the middle of the night, you are going to hear it. The sites next to me had multiple automobiles, around 10 people each, and several tents on the tiny areas. The campers were extremely vocal and enjoyed playing their music loudly. The ten o'clock "quiet hours" were certainly not respected on land nor water. It could have been a lovely visit but, it was simply too crowded and overall loud throughout the campground. It is a real shame but, I will probably not be returning to this campground.

Always have a great experience at Hawker Point campgrounds. The hosts Dan and Bev do a great job of making you feel welcome. My favorite place to camp.

We love Hawker Point and is a favorite family gathering camp area! The trees, close to the water and location! Always clean, well kept camp sites! Even though the new showers have not arrived, the old showers are fantastic!! The camp hosts are always helpful, welcoming and obviously love being hosts at Hawker!

Park attendees not letting you check in until 3pm, when there is no one on the site is ridiculous every other camp site lets you this need fixes

Beautiful Lake. The site was amazing and no one was in front of us so we had a great view of the lake.

Love camping at Hawker point campsites are right by the water. The boat ramp is easy to get in and out off. The campground hosts are always friendly and they take good care of the campground always clean and maintained.

A beautiful stay on the water. Ongoing improvements meant there was no potable water except near the dump station at the entrance. Easy back in on loop A for our 35 fifth wheel. We were glad we previewed the sights and chose to stay on the side of the road away from the shore, as all those sites had steep inclines. While technically long enough to accommodate a big rig, the pad at our nose would have been a good 2-3 higher than our tail.Looks like a fishermans paradise. Had we stayed longer, Im sure we would have enjoyed putting our kayak in for a paddle. As it was, we got to do some exploring on our e-bikes which was fun.Cant beat the price, especially with our Golden Geezer Pass!

Great camp site! Water was down but we still had a fun time!

We had a great time except the spot we had was for a RV even though it said for tent camping as well and I could not stake down our tent. It was truly a RV spot only.

We enjoyed this site as it was nice and breezy by the lake. We could easily walk down to the rock beach for a quick float/swim. The camp hosts/attendants are great and the nearby flush toilet was kept very clean. Great Verizon cell phone signal too usually 3 bars.

We had just camped at Ruark Bluff area and were surprised at how much more clear the water was at Hawker Point. I don't know why the water quality was so much better in this part of the same lake, but it was. The park itself was very beautiful and shady too. The restrooms and showers were not ideal though at all. In the campground, the only flush toilet that I found was just a single male/female on each side, and you had to go outside to wash your hands. Kind of comical. Then, there is a shower house that you had to drive to up by the entrance. You would think that there would be multiple showers, but it also was set up kind of weird. There was one shower stall with two shower heads in that one room. So, effectively, there was one shower for a whole campground. Lol! Even so, I would go back simply because the area was so beautiful. It was worth some inconvenience. Nice quiet place.

The people at the booth here are amazing and keep things very clean. Much better than other campsites on Stockton lake.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
