This campground has such potential, the sites were good size , ours was not very level. The roads in and sites would benefit from grading. The lake was pretty . Most disappointing was the upkeep. Grass was knee high in some areas , fire pits were not cleaned out and site reservations slips were on pedestals 2 days past . Our post was marked A28P our reservation site was A28A . After driving around we went back to the host and he stated they were one and the same why add an extra level of confusion? T mobile and antenna TV were goodPlease cleanup this little gemAlso , reservation time was good , not the 6 pm as at some parks lately

We arrived on Wed. and was told the restrooms were closed by the caretaker and Park Ranger. Maintenance had been notified and was told it should be fixed by the next day. Left on Sunday, still wasn't fixed. This was a big inconvenience as my father-in-law is handicapped and put him at a great strain to have to drive to the entrance of campground to use the main restrooms many times. We reserve the handicapped spot closest to this restroom for him. I expect that when there is type of an issue and am told it will be fixed, it should be. We kept asking about when it was going to be fixed and kept being told, "they should be here anytime." DO BETTER!This was at Crabtree Cove.

Looks pretty to drive by but is NOT pretty to stay. The grass is not kept up and the ground is just a wild mess of ticks and TONS of ANTS. SO many ants we had to go buy ant spray just to keep them from invading us after the first night (literally hundreds were crawling all over our tent) it was a nightmare. The ground is SOOO rocky good luck with your stakes for tents. It just feels dirty. I will never stay at this campground again. And when I was down by the water, all the sudden there was like a thousand bees next to me, I was like, "SERIOUSLY?" The only good thing was I saw a bald eagle up close, so that was cool.

Nice campground. Loved the playground near camp. Water within walking distance.

Great spot, a lil bit of a walk downhill to the water but still great. Not a lil of shade.

There were bad storms and we lost power and the bathrooms were not cleaned the whole week we were there. There were used tampons and pads on the floor! This was disgusting!!! I won't use this camp grounds again and I've been here for years..

The attendants are wonderful people and check on the campground and all the facilities. They care about the campground and all the people camping.

some of the showers don't have hot water. there is rust on the shower walls that would not be easy to clean off.

Bathroom cleanliness could improve.

Really nice and clean. Close to Stockton if you need supplies. Attendant was helpful getting an air mattress aired up when my buddies inverter went out. Only bad experience was when I was fishing and the people kayaking crossed all of my lines. We shared the bank with them all day and when they left, we put our lines in and they crossed everything one of them coming back. I kayak too, but that was a dick move. Don’t be that person.

Nice stay. Peaceful and scenic. Bring firewood for campsite as we didn’t find any for sale.

Site A07 is our favorite spot in the campground and it never fails to please us. The view of the cove is great, the water is close, and the site has plenty of room. Also, the restrooms and shower house are always clean.

Beautiful lake with amazing camp sites!
@AndreaW3259255 · Camped on May 24, 2023 at Campsite #A14
The bathrooms are only a few years old and there is mold growing in the corners of the ceilings. The water flow in the showers is more a trickle than a spray. The fire pits do not look like they have been cleaned in a couple of years. The electric sites are only 30 amp. Various sites are drop offs from your camper requiring you to have additional steps to safely exit your camper. Other Core campgrounds have clean facilities and level concrete pads with 30/50 amp hook ups. Stockton has a great lake but the campgrounds are behind others.

Found the on-site hosts were very proficient doing their jobs. Even during the storm, they were very helpful making sure everyone was safe and everything was clean afterwards. The bathrooms and showers were cleaned daily (saw him checking them more than once a day even) and never had that campground toilet smell with bugs and spider webs in there. Never saw anything left behind that was disgusting after the gentleman cleaned them like said in Leotas review. Not to say it couldnt happen, but that doesnt reflect on them how people are. But if that was the case I have no doubt it was cleaned up promptly. The host seem to be top notch and on top of getting things done. The campground is shaded and lots of space between each spot. I definitely would recommend this place to stay. And will be back. Keep up the good work Crabtree!!

A beautiful setting for camping near the lake. We normally try to avoid weekend camping because of the crowds and noise, but this was not a problem at Crabtree Cove.
@KevinB3052996 · Camped on May 12, 2023 at Campsite #A10
Nice spot to camp. Bathrooms across the road and just down the hill is a no wake cove area for swimmers, kayakers or whatever. Beside the bathrooms is a play area and concrete basketball goal. More parking for boats and trailers here as well. I was able to pull the boat up to the bank and just have a short walk up the hill to the campsite. Easy electrical hookups. Not too far from town.

Some pads are very uneven. Come prepared to level your trailer. Lots of trees for shade and many birds of different kinds that are nice to watch.
@LindyM8B23EAE0 · Camped on May 7, 2023 at Campsite #A2
Some of the sites are close together but there are a few with a bit more privacy. Nice staff. They just started a check-in at 4:00 which is ridiculous. Obviously those who made that rule aren’t campers!
@AndrewK5708668 · Camped on Apr 26, 2023 at Campsite #A11
Would like to see you level the sites and upgrade to 50amp. I like that checkout is no longer 6pm BUT I think 12:00 is a little much. Even though in most cases we are packed up and pulled out by noon; I think 3:00 pm would be a better fit.
@RobertH1222975 · Camped on Apr 23, 2023 at Campsite #B13
I enjoyed the secluded location of the B13 campsite. There was very little flat surface available for locating tents, however. The distance to the boat ramp was convenient and the restroom/ shower facilities were very nice compared to others I have used at Stockton Lake.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
