Easy to get to, smaller paved parking spot but big sites. No dump station, QUIET, nice campground host!

Great campground and Shawna, the host, was very helpful. Grounds and bathhouses were clean too. Only issue was the trains very close by that sounded off there loud whistles all through the night. It was annoying!

Our reservation was for site 11, but we ended up moving over to 12 since it was unoccupied and had lots of shade. The electric boxes at 11 and 12 were not functioning. Were very thankful for the camp host, Wayne, and his wife who made some adjustments to help us get 110 power to our teardrop camper. This site has ice and firewood for sale at reasonable prices.

We were only there for one night - on our way from one place to another. No time to experience anything in the area.

My electric plug was wired wrong, there was no available to fix itThere is no dump station at this campground There is no storm shelter in the loop we were in, You would have to drive to a different loop in a storm situation You would be in a lot of trouble if you needed Shelter from a Tornado

PSNG 053 is the best site. Close to water and pit toilet. It's spacious, relatively private, and has perfectly spaced trees for either a hammock or a clothes line. Silver Mines is a beautiful campground just minutes from the D Bridge on the Saint Francis River. It's only about 11 minutes to Walmart in Fredericktown for supplies or access to the internet. The only draw-back is not having flush toilets and showers available. Other than that, it is one of my favorite places to base camp for kayaking on the river. It's nice having the takeout so close to camp.

This is one of our favorite campgrounds.It was the very first one we came to after we purchased our first rig in 2016. Five rigs later were still camping here!Some may say it's outdated but for me personally, that's the draw.Also there is NO cell service, again for me that's the draw!

Mostly a tent camping area except for the "Riverside" loop. Many of the sites on the top of the mountain are big enough for small/medium sized campers. But they are laid out for tenters. Picnic table on wrong side or in the far back. parking stop block at 20-30ft up the driveway. There are 4 "loops" or campgrounds that don't show up in the system well. Riverside, Summit, Prospect, and Spring Branch (FCFS down the other side of the mountain)

Great campground on a beautiful river, but If you need cell service, forget it. We went for the eclipse, so a weather check would have been nice, but you can get some radio stations. Campground was not full, even for this event. Weather was great. Camp host was very personable. Some hiking direct from the campground along the river in both directions. Good no electric car camping.

No dump. Site wasnt as pictured. Restrooms were filthy. Allowed 2 school buses in without notice to camp host. Kids all over campsites and they left trash everywhere and trashed the bathrooms. Will not be going back.

Silver Mines never disappoints, especially if the river is up!

It is a nice, quiet campground. The hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable.
@HeatherVF0FAE3 · Camped on Oct 20, 2023 at Campsite #11
great site but hard to find. there should be a standard address of a ranger station or visitor center to input in navigation so people can find at least a starting point to navigate to
@StevenD7765858 · Camped on Oct 10, 2023 at Campsite #11
It was a very peaceful campground. We enjoyed our stay. Would like better if had a dump station and if the electric sites were more level.

The location is awesome -- right next to the St. Francis river. And the park hosts were wonderful. I'll be back.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
