Finally no cows this time. Ive been here before with dozens of cows in the vicinity. Cabin is great but wall heater doesnt work properly. Didnt need it. Lovely views. However nearby campers and ATVs were noisy.

Best ranger station I have stayed in so far. Many upgrades, wheel chair accessible bathroom, wonderful shower, nice kitchen, beautiful back country view! Clean! Enjoyed our stay so much, I believe we will return again soon. The only problem were the pesky flies. So many places to explore, you will love it too!

Both cabins are nicely set up with pots, pans, dishes, and silverware. Be prepared to cut your own firewood as not much is supplied generally. Hot and cold running water is very nice, as is having a shower and flush toilet. No refrigerator in either cabin and the oven in both cabins are not easy to use. Mammoth's is temperamental and the lake cabin's doesn't seem to work at all. No cell service

Fantastic Location. Absolutely beautiful setting and the amenities are an added bonus for a ranger station. Less time setting up a tent in the wilderness so more time doing things!

Great location and nice cabin. Would enjoy staying here again. Solar power provided plenty of power for the cabin.

Overall the stay was good, but this location should have a gate installed as many random people will drive into your camp throughout your stay. The cabins are both nice, but keep in mind it's a pair of cabins and lacks the seclusion of other cabin options in UT and WY.

There was a major rodent problem. Mice droppings everywhere in the cabin. We saw 2 mice the first night. We went in to town the next morning and purchased 4 traps. We set them that night and caught 4 mice. There were still more. Very gross and won’t stay again.

Stayed over July 24th weekend. Great location and accommodations and would go there again. It was so nice and cool at night, almost chilly so bring a sweater. We had deer walk right up to the porch and stroll beside our cabin during the middle of the day. We rented both the Mammoth and Lake cabins so didn’t have to worry about neighbors. The cabins were pretty clean and had good furniture. Would recommend bringing your own air mattress to sleep on top of their mattress (very hard). The hot showers were fantastic - don’t forget your own towels, soap, etc. Electricity is provided by solar panels and was enough for us but you should try to conserve (batteries ran out our last night). The kitchen has a lot of silverware, pots, pans, etc. There is no fridge but coolers kept food cold. The Mammoth cabin’s oven didn’t work all that great so cooked lasagna in the Lake cabin. Brought our own outdoor camp stove and cooked most meals outside. Bring your own camp chairs to circle the fire ring. Plenty of downed wood logs but be sure to bring your own axe to split wood (we left a bunch for the next renters - you’re welcome). Great shade throughout the day. Things to do... Chop wood, nap, read, ride ATVs, hike in the nearby prairies, bird watch, etc. Nearby Gooseberry Reservoir has some decent fishing, kayaking and canoeing but not much for swimming for the kids. Beware, there are leaches and the fisherman are not nice if kids are playing nearby. Zero cell service across multiple networks = bliss. Some ATVs passing on nearby roads were annoyingly loud so recommend earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Ultimately, remember that you’re paying 50 bucks for a cabin with electricity, flushing toilets, hot water, beds, etc. It’s no Grand America but I’d still rather stay here regardless. Our family had a great time and we would go back again.

Great facility and the area is beautiful. Mountain biking/hiking are limited nearby and this is OHV country (nothing wrong with that), so be prepared for weekends to have vehicles buzzing all around.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
